Thanks so much for this video, HappyCompy! Really appreciate it. Just a quick addition - the mod contains the original crusades mechanics (so when you conquer Levant provinces as a traditional crusader faction you get access to unique building trees to convert the populace and gain access to Crusader units), including similar mechanics for Baltic Crusade and Reconquista units (Teutonic knights and knights of Santiago).. and I have added (and tweaked) an emergent Crusader States faction that starts as a horde (playable and AI versions). Thanks again for the video, looking forward to a stream! ;)

Words cannot describe how sublime the campaign map atmosphere is. We are reaching levels of comfy nobody could have possibly imagined.

Having a blast in this. Civil wars, Re-emergent Factions, Regional Crusader units makes it so much better. Can't wait for the future updates and features. All my free time is being spent between this and Total Conquest. Rome Remastered has really exceeded my expectations.

I love this Mod. Not a fan of the slower pacing (like recruitment time), but it's still great and cannot wait to see more from Gudea :)

My favorite part was when the Agathian Knight defeated a Mason and the Mason said "you truly are Chivalry!"

Great showcase! This is very exciting but I think I’ll wait with playing this one, very excited for the map and units to experience some remodelling ;) awesome work though, like most RR mods things are very much a work in progress!

The Med 2 mod, Sicilian Vespers, was made by the one of the same Chivalry dev IIRC. Thst was always my favorite Med 2 mod centered on Europe. Lots of neat eras to play.

Played a hot seat campaign of the original chivalry and it was awesome. Might have to plan a new campaign for the remastered version. Great spotlight for an awesome mod.

cool thanks , but it wasn't explained what the differences between rome 1 and medieval 2's battle mechanics are for why i would want to play this over either original games?..... also how do i download these mods?...

is there a marriage system and heir? Never played rome 1 or this mod, but I love total war medieval 2 for the politics and dynasty system, but that game doesn't run on windows 10 for me.

Can you change religions in this game. I have about 35 hours into the Medieval Kingdoms 1212 mod for Atilla as the Byzantine Empire. I changed to Catholicism as that game allows that. Can you do the same in this mod?

I need to correct you: Medieval 1 is not a buggy, crashy unplayable mess on windows 10. It might be on other windows, Vista and 8. But definetely not on windows 10, as I have it and I play it constantly without any weird things or tinkering.

I just want one thing, one thing. The map to have a Indian faction. Want to do a invasion against the turks.

In all fairness I am very thankful for the modders for their work and I'm grateful for their dedication but there is no way I can play such old games. Even Medieval II is too old for me by now, I loved this game during my childhood but after modern games and especially Rome 2 and Three Kingdoms I just can't stand the camera and the campaign "feelings" anymore from older games. The video you made is very appealing and the mod does looks great, the models does looks cool but I know the campaign will be boring very quickly for me and I'm the kind of person who likes doing battles during the campaign because there are stakes and a bit of role playing and don't like making custom battles for the sake of doing a battle. At some point we just need a proper Medieval III or eventually a Medieval II remake/remastered. It's a long due.

Well well well, what did I say? Rome total war will always be better than the crap that is Rome 2, but everyone doubted me. Look what's happened now. I rest my case.

what's the point of Rome Remastered if these units look exactly like in Rome 1 they move like robots, why can't they make units based on the updated models of Rome Remastered that look much better and newer

Tbh if the mod relies on the stereotypical 'dark and gritty' trope that we see in so many medieval stories today, that's already one mark against it imo. The real middle ages were vibrant and very colorful, the 'dark and gritty' aesthetic is just used by people who lack confidence in their ability to portray the dark parts of the era without heavy handily adding gray and dark colors into the story. Ironically it's the one of the things Medieval 2 got more right than it's predecessor. Not sure why you think 'colorful=goofy' though.

No thanks. I HATE the large icons or whatever over the units. I wish they were like medieval 2. So irritating. What don’t people get. Crap.

I'm sorry, but this mod sucks. It crashes when you try to play a custom battle, let alone if you try to play a multiplayer battle. I really wish these over zealous fools would think about this sort of thing before they just try reuploading the mods in an attempt to recapture the magic of the past.
