This game was a little different because the enemy was clumped and difficult to find. However, it made me realize that it is crazy that a cv can often attack within a minute of the start of the battle, especially rocket booster Russian planes. Other ships (in a game without cv spotting) don't even start playing the game for 2 minutes. A BB player may set auto pilot and go take a leak at the beginning of the battle without it affecting anything. idk why I hadn't realized this before, but it is a great advantage when it comes to farming. Of course, spotting also helps your team's BB's get some early long-range salvos.
a nice trick with this cv is a torp attack - if you drop them early at a distance at a group of ships, the ships move before the drop and the dispersion is crazy so you often get a few hits - same for chasing DDs down or firing into smoke, they travel further than you think
Lol, you singing "ding dong the griefer's gone" while playing a cv yourself, doesn't half feel like the Wicked Witch of the West joining the Munchkins to sing "ding dong the Witch is dead". Love it.
I believe it is mostly to demonstrate how indifferent you can be as a CV player. NO concentration required, so yes he makes a jest of most of the CV players.
I know it wasn't in this video, but I actually saw a damn Enterprise yesterday in randoms lol. I just remembered since there was a Kaga in your video, and the Enterprise stat wise was a "kind of but not really" USN analogue. You know from back in the day of RTS CVs, when AA did something, planes didn't respawn and setting a CV on fire prevented it from launching planes.
Chkalov is one of the most broken CVs of the game just bc it is tier 8 (you can absolute devastate tier 6) and those dive bombers. More than once I just hunted down DDs and CVs with this ship.
Just reinstalled the game after a few years, when the CV rework debacle happened and Subs were announced...wanted to play this evening. Guess I just uninstall again and spare me the torture...nothing seems to have changed.
AT least the CV player should be at risk of getting de planed - no PILOTs or fighter cover for the next 5 minutes. Make them suffer the pain of the japanese carrier captains at the 'Great Turkey shot' if they don't conserve their plane/pilots pool.
FAR slower aircraft or a far larger map ? That is if CVs is involved, they shouldn't be able to overflow most of the enemy's spawn and so finding the enemy's CV in the first 5-6 minutes.
With regards to CVs and fires (and other damage) let the fire burn for 1 minute no launch of new strikes while at fire 40 % damaged or more - no plane launch because you cant launch from something which have a list - repair part to the rescue - but out of action for two minutes while they fix the list (so force the player to be hard to find - damaged == mission kill, so force the player to be hard to find.)
Yesterday i faced a Pobeda with my Tirpitz. He managed to get behind an island close to the action. I was clustered up with a Baltimore, an Alabama and our CV dropped figthers over us. But the Pobeda just struck me over and over again, completely ignoring AA and the fighters until i was sunk. And pushing around the island to go after him would ve meant to get torped by two DDs and entering a crossfire... He was absolutely safe and able to torture us into oblivion. Btw, at the end of the battle he was still flying around with full groups. This is just bad game design and plainly overpowered. There is no counterplay which works. Especially soviet CVs are pure venom for the ranked experience right now. People who defend this are either ignorant or liars. Its really annoying, cause a otherwise good game suffers so much from the developer absolutely unfairly favouring a class which gets played by a minority of the playerbase...
A cv's dpm is highly dependent on how far they are from the target. If a CV gets that close to you on the other side of an island you get to face maximum dpm because the flight times are so short. You died because the CV was in good position and you were in bad position.
@@mitchrc3 *We died cause we had to fight a ship which does not have to take risk for impact unlike all the others. Again, we were 3 ships next to each other with air support and he killed all of us from complete safety. Go defend this bullshit class in TopTiers comment section. Its full of people who think thats ok ;)
@@gothia1715 No stupid. That ship with 14 km concealment out positioned you by getting a whole lot closer than normal, which spikes it’s dpm. You had 2 choices. Don’t let the cv get that close. Or don’t get that close to where the cv is. You failed and lost. Now quit whining.
@@mitchrc3 Oh yes... Thats true. He clearly outsmarted us by never getting spotted and parking behind an island. Sending wave after wave into AA from 3 ships, 2 of them supposed to have strong AA and fighters which are coded into not attacking his planes. Clearly our fault. Thanks for your enlightenment.
