I appreciate that in this video you included as much information about chlamydia you could and not just the symptoms. Again, all videos are short and straight to the point!
thank you for highlighting the important diagnostics and for adding to what you went over in class , this goes into further detail about some things we went over in class
I like how your videos are always straight to the point and gives all the information needed in a short amount of time. I agree with Melissa. I liked how you explained what it was, the signs/symptoms and treatment.
I like how you used an example of a patient and what kind of symptoms they might present. Makes it a little more real. Very informative and to the point.
Great overview of Chlamydia. I liked how you organized the video into sections, such as symptoms, diagnostic procedures, treatment, and prevention. Watching your 5 minute video informed me faster about the STI than searching on the internet.
I found it very helpful that you discussed what chlamydia is and how it can be detected. The inclusion of symptoms and diagnosis is very useful information. This is a very important video you created and I thank you for being so detailed / informative.
I love watching your videos. Basic and easy to understand. I wanted to add that there is a chance that the symptoms do not show. So always get checked at least twice a year for any STD/STI to be safe!
Awesome video! I always used to get the symptoms for chlamydia and gonorrhea mixed up, as they have a lot of similarities. This video really helped me differentiate the diseases! Thank you.
Since I wrote my assignment on this topic, I found this video to be very helpful in my research. I appreciate that you went through the diagnosis and treatment options as well. I am sure that many people will find that information to be very helpful to them!
What has really helped me understand the different STI's we've been learning is by distinguishing them by bacterial, parasitic, and viral. This video clearly identifies chlamydia as a bacterial infection. This fact alone gives me enough background knowledge about this particular STI.
You cover all major points of this disease very efficiently and straight forward which I really liked. Your concise and quick videos make learning much more pleasant and easier to follow.
It was interesting how you explained Chlamydia in a way that was easy to follow. I liked how you listed the symptoms a patient would experience and how we could treat it.
I find myself mixing up the symptoms of Chlamydia and Gonorrhea but after watching this video I feel like I can distinguish between the too. Thank you so much. I appreciate these videos.
It was interesting hearing a little background of chlamydia. This video thoroughly covers the symptoms, how it is diagnosed, and its treatment. It was a great refresher to what was taught during class.
Chlamydia was discussed in the film in class, yet I didn't retain the information so well when trying to take notes on it. This video made it helpful to clearly understand what chlamydia is, the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of this STI. Being able to pause this video and rewind to take notes is very useful.
Thanks for the information on Chlamydia, I used to get the symptoms mix up with gonorrhea. I didn't realize that chlamydia could be diagnose from urine sample. I like how you really break down the information.
It's really great that your lectures introduce and explain the content and then your videos highlight the main points. You bring up the keys in the videos that support what you stated in lecture.
I know a bit about STIs, but it is interesting now to listen to your lecture, after having taking the class, and understand how it happens on a different level.
This video really explained what chlamydia is. It is a sexually transmitted infection. You also included symptoms, such as pain during urination, and you also explained treatments. This is very helpful for someone who wants to learn what Chlamydia is.
Video was very informative and organized! Like the way you went in order from symptoms, to diagnosis (tests used to help diagnosis infection), then to treatments available for the individual.
Going over the different types of bacteria that cause these STD's correlate with the subjects that we have been going over in Microbiology, its cool to see that everything we learn in one lecture can help our understanding in another.
This video is helpful and and it clearly identifies that chlamydia is a bacterial infection and it can be cured. Great quality and very understanding thank you.
This video was a nice supplement to the STI’s section of this course. In my experience it’s easier to learn through a video than it is to just read it on a screen. It was also interesting to hear about the different methods that chlamydia is diagnosed and how chlamydia is treated.
I love how this video acted as a supplement to what I learned via the Encyclopedia assignment for Microbiology! With Chlamydia being such a common STD, it's nice to know the medications and preventative measures revolving it.
I like the organization of the video, and how you broke down each topic such as symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. These videos would benefit many individuals especially those who are not well educated on the topic of STIs because it is very informative and also because you make it easy to understand and follow along.
I found this STD very interesting to learn a few facts about! All the symptoms would lead me to think someone would have a UTI at first but it's interesting to learn that may not always be the case.
BIO 176 Fall 2019: I thought this would be a good topic to research on because many teens and older have symptoms such as so but do not do anything about it. I liked hearing an example of a patient and getting more information on sexually transmitted infections.
Good breakdown and explanation of the symptoms, diagnosis, and the treatment. And unlike the gonorrhea video, I like how you wrote down the diagnosis step in this one.
MEDA 55: This video is SPOT ON. I work in a clinic that specializes in sexual and reproductive healthcare. When patients come in for chlamydia they show all of the signs that you mention in the videos, sometimes others but the main antibiotics the clinicians will recommend would be Azithromycin and Doxycycline!
In another class that I have over this summer Humane sexuality, we discussed the topic of chlamydia but we did not talk about the cellular level of the STI.
I like how you broke down the signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. Was curious if any diagnosis technique or treatment was known to work better or is it case to case based?
Explaining the symptoms and diagnosis was very helpful. However, I wish you would’ve explained how the bacteria affects a person physiologically in order to cause the infection! That would’ve been very interesting!
Great review after the STI powerpoint because there was additional information that wasn't included in the powerpoint. It would be great to hear more about treatment plans.
That’s cool how they can test for certain bacteria which tells the doctor if you have chlamydia or not. Also important was pointing out how cheap it is to prevent especially when healthcare is so expensive
I wish you can put a video of different diseases in one folder, as well as, differentiation of each sexually diseases. The reason for that is because they are so many of them and some of these diseases has the same symptoms/characteristics.
This video was easy to follow and it is important for individuals to watch. It is important to know what the symptoms are for chlamydia because as you mentioned it is another diagnostic to having chlamydia. I do have a question, are chlamydia symptoms only shown through urinating? or does it cause someone to become fatigue and nauseas?
Woaahhh🤭😮 What really opened my eyes is how they diagnose it by swabbing in the urethra and doing Pap smears. I would definitely go the contraceptives route. I cannot imagine how painful it is
I like how you explained the different diagnostic methods, very good to know! I am interested in which diagnostic method is the most accurate (or common)? - MEDA 110 - SU 2020
It almost seems like UTI and Chlamydia has similar symptoms but the bacteria infect the body differently. Good to know the signs/symptoms, how doctor's diagnosis the symptom, and there is a treatment for it.
I never really understood what chlamydia was and its symptoms but along with the class lectures and this video I have a better understanding of this STI.
Great video explaining this STI. In class we went over it very quickly at the end so there wasn't enough time to fully process it; being able to listen to the explanation again and see an organized layout of info helps. -Dean
Great explanation and clarification of chlamydia symptoms, because chlamydia and gonorrhea have some of the same symptoms. I might of missed it, but can chlamydia have no symptoms like gonorrhea?
I thought this video was extremely important because whenever anyone goes to the doctor's, they are asked if they want to be tested for chlamydia, it is not required but they usually always have us pee in the plastic cup since they keep insisting!! But I'm glad they do for everyones sake since if caught early we can treat it and prevent so much pain and discharge from forming!
This video was very helpful in learning about Chlamydia, but after watching the Gonorrhea video, I still have trouble distinguishing between the two because they are so similar.
Maybe I didn't catch this part in the video, are the antibiotics used to treat Chlamydia for both men and women the same? I'm assuming so since its a bacterial infection that requires antibiotics. Its good that there are videos like these to educate people and prevent! Bio 323 Summer 18.
This is very similar to Gonorrhea except for the fact they do urine samples. They both use antibiotics which but with Chlamydia you only have oral medication. It is crazy how only condoms or abstinence are the only ways to prevent this disease. Mallory Gladden (Bio327 Student)
A lot of patients who have chlamydia can be diagnosed with a urine sample or a pap smear. Treatment for chlamydia are mostly antibiotic since it is a bacterial issue
I always imagined chlamydia was treated by a very extensive treatment due to being such a horrific microorganism. It is great to know it can be treated with antibiotics because I think some of us will encounter these diseases frequently depending in which area we work.
