Chloe is a once in a generation artist. Her vocals, stage presence, creativity & her personality, she is a star, it was always meant to be. "Trouble in Paradise" shows a Chloe that is more mature, but not only that, one that went through so much and came out on the other side. She created the album in St. Lucia, a place that has become her happy place. And you can clearly hear it in all the songs, even the more emotional ones. There's a sense of freedom and "I'm doing this for me, not to please you" vibe to this album, which I think is amazing and honestly admirable to see. Her courage to allow people into her world again after last year is something i can see NO other artist doing. She's a real life phoenix.

My issue is that people say they "love" and are "fans" of Chloe but they don't really pay attention or support her acting & music projects. Chloe announced this album at the beginning of the year & has promoted throughout this year on her social media platforms, red carpets, the 2 Weekend performances she did at Coachella. I'm so proud of Chloe. Ngl, I was not a fan of the last project but this one is a vibe for me. I'm so excited to see her grow because she is IT whether the public agrees or not. She has the vocal ability, production skills, writing ability, stage presence, and beauty/appeal to be the best.
I feel like this album is closer to what she originally intended the first album to be. In Pieces didn’t make sense as a whole after releasing Have Mercy, Treat Me, and Surprise. I like the first album but I’m loving the second album.

Parkwood be doing their job its Columbia that needs to give her the budget. After their deal is done I hope that they stay will Parkwood and leave Columbia. Meg is signed to Roc Nation but is totally independent from a record label.
My assumption is if there wasn't a rollout, it probably had more to do with Chloe's aspirational fans constantly pressuring her to adhere to their ideas of what her artistry should be. Every time the Bailey sisters do anything, it instantly gets picked apart and Beyoncé gets blamed. So I'm not surprised that her team waited until the work was ready to announce. There's less time for people to drag it.
I'm with you 110% She set the bar high with her sister, to see her go back and give us (no shade, not tea) something that sounds exactly like everyone else out right now, didn't quite resonnate with me but I understand the value of finding your own lane, experimenting, being young, and wanting to be trendy. I'm just excited to see where she goes.
She was more quieter this year and let her work speak for itself, just like they used to talk about Beyoncé, and she started letting her group members talk, and became quiet through her solo career

This is it. Everything you said was straight facts. People nowadays have so much to say about these artists and most of those same people have 100% no knowledge on the industry or music in general. I’m glad that Chlöe took the chance and dropped the music with short notice because she’s letting her music speak for itself. Chart wise, Chlöe will soon have a hit on the charts! The somberness you are describing of "In pieces" was due to the heavy cyber bul*ying she went through last year, she originally meant to release a different kind of album, but felt "In pieces" was more accurate to how she felt at the time. Unfortunately, the album was misunderstood by everyone which only added to her mental health.
Small note: Parkwood is (among other things) a record label, an imprint of Columbia Records. Columbia funds it and makes executive decisions but Parkwood still operates as a label for Chloe and Halle
I just went to listen to the album...*Chloe MUST release a music video for Favorite ft. Anderson .Paak!!*🗣 Matter a fact that song should've been released a bit earlier because it such a fun summer block party type of song! It's giving family friendly fun in the best way possible. Like double dutch, marching bands, college football, bbq's. I need the dancing tiktokers to come out of hiding and make a dance for it! She also needs to let commercials use the song its literally so freaking fun!! Like a soda commercial where she comes out, winks at the camera and takes a nice drink and smiles...do y'all see the vision?
People are insane, Parkwood is placing Chloe in places that many new artistv aren't capable of seeing, Grammy's, GMA, Today Show, Coachella, and other TV shows an events, Beyonce is promoting her by way of placing her in high-end spotlights, see the bigger picture. I loved her first project, as i do this one, i don't know why people are so hard on this woman

Herby, please do a full review! I’m so proud of Chloe because I knew this sophomore album would be a hit. Trouble in Paradise is cohesive and great world building. I’ve listened to the album once so far but have 4-6 favorites. You can visualize what keeps her or the character in a toxic relationship. It’s relatable, emotional, and sensual. In addition, I love her new collaborators. The production is insane. Keep them! Chloe is and has always been a star. It’s about time more people realize it. My Favorites (So Far) 1. Want Me 2. I love this album. I’m playing it all the time every day. I was aware she was working on something but didn’t know it was coming out so soon. Glad she put the recent singles she has put out and performed on it so it doesn’t feel like last album with a bunch of disconnected random singles that didn’t even make the album. So I think those singles were part of the rollout. Boy Bye is great and clearly the politics aren’t working In her favor cause I could see a song like that being everywhere. Clearly she didn’t have a lot of budget for videos but I think it was creative to do these full length visualizers instead of the short repeated loops so there’s actually something to look at when you play the song on RU-vid. I hope she gets some actual choreo videos and more dance performances of some of the really upbeat danceable songs.

I didn't appreciate Boy bye initially, but in the context of this album it finally clicked. The songwriting is fantastic, great usage of her vocals and the conventions of that type of 2010s pop sound. Just a fun quirky song that really deserves love

This album was such a huge improvement from her last 😢! Definitely sounded more Chloë & was way more cohesive then the last one. My favorite songs was "Boy Bye" , "FYS" , "Redemption" and "NGFL" 🩷 Overall, Chloë still has a lyrics issue. Her dilevery of some explicit lyrics sounded comical & unserious. The production and her voice will always be there, just needs a compatible writer imo .

I'm a 27 y/o male from South Africa 🇿🇦 and I gravitated towards the versatile production the most. The stand out song for me is 'Want Me' 😭yho, she's lettings us know that I'm a Writer and Singer before anything.
This album is leaps and bounds above In Pieces. That debut was so lackadaisical. It was boring. This? This has real playback value. And the initial listen was fun. But also it should be mentioned that Chloe & Halle’s deal with the label was for six albums, including solo projects. So after Halle drops a solo album, they’ll only owe their label one album as a group. They got that advance so long ago … I think Chloe pushed this album out quickly because she needs to go back on tour to make money and she needed new music to do that. It’s all about getting to the bag.
She said she's not going on tour this year and is focusing on her film projects and her well-being. I don't think she is that strapped for cash. The advance was only 1 million split between two people ten years ago. 500k in LA only lasts like 2 years. I dont think the advance money is controlling their business decisions. Both girls have had succesful film and television careers outside of music. Their acting careers are connected to both Disney and ABC, so I think they're ok. I also don't believe In Pieces was boring. In fact, one of the biggest critiques people had was that it was not sonically cohesive enough. I think that at least half of the songs have major replayability. In contrast, a lot of big artists just have one pushed song that plays on the radio, but their album is trash. If her label (Columbia) had pushed one song on that album hard, it would have succeeded.

Chloe definitely found her sound for this album which is pop & R&B she found the right beats to complement her voice and this album was more cohesive!! She has heal singles on this album! Full review PLEASE!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 This album was so great! This is also coming from someone who is a fan of Chloe, but just did not enjoy In pieces. This album is so rich and vibrant and diverse in sound but in a way that still feels cohesive. Idk how to describe it but it feels like eating 5 different fruits all rolled in to one. An explosion of musical flavor. The genres she explored, RNB, pop, Afrobeats, dance, she did it to great effect.

Chloe should’ve added For The Night, Surprise & Treat Me to this album! It would’ve fit!! I added it to my playlist anyway as it all flows bc why not. But she’s definitely did her thang on this. It’s grown, s3xy & fun all in one.

I really love this new era for Chloe and I agree that sonically the music is just so much better and more creative than In Pieces 10000%. But my only hot take for the album is that unfortunately it left me wanting more after listening to it? Like once again Chloe is singing about sexual appeal and a toxic ex that she just can’t seem to let go. From what she said about the album in interviews and just based on the title itself I thought the album would have some kind of resolution where she finds herself and her inner worth in a sense? But she ended the album with somebody, which is just a song about craving once again this ex that she can’t seem to let go of? There just wasn’t much of a story to this album for me but I’m not sure if she was necessarily trying to create one or not. I just know she’s very much capable of doing so, similar to Ariana with Eternal sunshine and how all the songs are connected, tell a story, and then end on a note that makes you feel satisfied? But TIP just left me craving more from Chloe. Like who are you besides this woman that is sexually liberated and experiencing toxic relationships, I know these are popular topics that women in pop always come back to and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I want to be told all of this I guess in a more creative and interesting way, one that makes me want to deep dive and try to figure out who the hell could she be talking about?? And some of the songs just didn’t do that for me. I feel like Chloe has definitely shown more of what she can do vocally with this body of work but I’m still finding it hard to connect with her on a deeper level as an artist if that makes sense. But! The album overall is very solid and Temporarily Single as well as All I Got are my favorites! A runner up is want me because how can I not love a Chloe x Halle track?! Love this era for Chloe but I want her to dig just a little bit deeper in her story telling because I think I’m over hearing about this ambiguous ex bf of hers whose loving is just so good she can’t seem to stay away from him 🥴

I enjoyed this album so much more than the first one. I wish this level of growth for Normani’s next project. I actually forgot Chloe announced a drop until seeing your upload on my feed. I had to go run and listen to it first. My next wish for Chloe is writing growth. Love her down but the lyrics feel too.. simple? Like I get it sis your legs are up and open and these 🥷🏾s keep whispering sweet nothings in your ear and wasting your time 🙄. For instance, I feel like the song about her rose could’ve been more creatively written, less explicit. One of those songs that uses creative writing devices so well you don’t even realize what the real topic is l until your second or third listen.

Chloe's debut was so disappointing precisely because it was painfully average and like every other girl singing about the same damn thing. She was supposed to be a different creative, hopefully this new work (which I was not even aware of lolzzz) is better

In Pieces as a debut album really grew on me, i think Trouble in Paradise is a good follow up and is very solid, I just wish we had another single or two and then the album release to build up hype, sad she isn't touring in 2025 even with this album. I hope we get some performances ❤
Everyone slept on Boy Bye fr! 😭 It also had a LOT of competition with both Nasty and Expresso also coming out that same weekend. They all released at that time so they could perform it during Coachella
