Years later, still watch this beautiful duet. Raw and moving. Love how supportive they are to eachother. They stepped above the format and did their own thing x
Is it just me or does anybody else think the connection between these two was mega strong? Like, the way he looked at her and how holding hands just looked so natural.
The air went out of the competition after these two left. This was the winning perfomance. Different, personal and unique. It's the combination between the two. Fab.
Alaric is like a giant teddy bear. He is as sensitive and deep inside than he is looking dominant and strong from the outside. Brillant brillant move by Mr George to keep him in the competition.
They were the only pairing who really sang together, no competition, rather the subtle dynamic between their blend of voice and of themselves. Unique and special moments for us all to share.
+Spike Gowers Yeeeesss, Pleeeaase... This performance was haunting and heartfelt. Chloe's vulnerability and vocal strength were superb. Alaric was the foundation and his angelic voice resonated in my soul. They were excellent as solo acts. However, that duet was astonishing! It's like they brought out each others greatness.
That was very beautifully said Amber. Lovely. You are an old and wise soul, obviously. Stay blessed, and keep pulling joy and beauty from simplicity and let it make your soul sing 🙏🏻
I must admit im not into reality shows or the voice. x factor or Britains got talent. this came up in recommendations and for a laugh i thought id listen. Well this moved me to tears. Just that in our life we will come to our last breath of air and then were gone. I pray for all and including myself and at the end there is someone who will be there for me as i go and for you also.. i loved this.... it moved me....
this songs brings so many emotions and make all the hairs stand up on my arms and my whole body i wish they would bring it out on singe they make emotional music together and yr right here one min gone the next its a scary thought leaving behind my family and can only wish the best for everyone xx
I will never get over how perfect this song is sung. This duet shows all that can be, so perfect, so emotional. I listen to this weekly. I thank you both for the music
Don't think I'd ever this song b4 they sang it! I don't think i want to hear the original because they sing it soooo perfectly together, they should of been a duet! But what a battle round!!! 1 I will never forget! ❤❤ shame she left the show b4 the end! 😢
Beautiful... Even the slight weaknesses are perfection. It wasn't a battle. They sang together, they supported each other. See how Chloe gave strenght to Aleric whispering "go" at 1:18.
To this day: this is my favourite battle performance on the voice uk through all 6 series. It's just so raw and passionate and their voices are so amazing together. Perfection!
This was by far the best, technically most perfect and also most emotional performance until now. It shows that song choice is important (some battles were wasted due to bad song choices). After this performance Chloe should have a free ticket from Ricky. I do think actually that it is worth re-releasing this song with the two, I would certainly buy it. Also huge credit to Antony - so many incredible song writers that escape the common perception. Music industry only wants us to buy top10 hits....
I didn't think I'd ever hear anything to rival the original, but this has smashed it. Alaric has a fantastic voice, and Chloe complements it perfectly. What a duo! Actually got emotional watching this - unusual for me. If this isn't recorded and released by them, it will be a crime against music!
ricky started the show as the underdog and is now the best coach he brought last years battle of Nathan and Christina and now this ricky deserves more recognition well done mate!
This is one of the most beautiful duets I’ve ever heard.. Chloe’s voice is raw and beautiful yet has touches of vulnerability and fragility .. perfectly encapsulating our natural uncertainty and fear of the day we die.. And Alaric’s haunting voice yet calming and angelic conveys that death is certain yet should not be feared.
Ricky and Boy George's song choice and song arrangement is on another level compared to Will.i.am and Paloma!!! Glad Boy George joined the show...his experience in music really does show.
This is the 'Battle' that I can't stop replaying. The first time I watched it, it had me both smiling and crying at how beautiful it is. This was really special.
Never heard this record before. After listening to the original I think this version is so wonderful, can't describe how good those two performed it - it was emotional. If released, I would buy it, and buy it again for someone else! That's how good this performance was.
glad that both went through. This was really beautiful and emotional! A battle doesn't need to be just who shouts louder. Beautiful really! I would have chosen Chloe too.
GOOSEBUMPS. One of the most captivating duets and such raw emotion , their voices are like silk. I listen thousands of times& never get tired of it . Beautiful ballad, AMAZING ARTISTS both of them.🎇
I'm a massive fan of the X factor, the voice etc, but seriously peeps, in my opinion, without question this has to be the best battle performance ever since the voice started. Ricky Wilson, absolutely great job my friend. I honestly thought the battle between Ash and Adam wouldn't be beat, here it is right here. Stunning, absolutely stunning
I've saved this in my "favourites",❤ and revisit this every few months or so. I'll NEVER, EVER forget this musical composition and duet as long as I live, it was so, so beautiful and I was so moved,🥰 it made me cry🥺😢 with this tiny petite little thing of a young lady with a beautiful delicate, but raunchy voice coming from that little frame of hers belting it out when it needed to be more passionate and powerful mixed with this BIG gentle giant with his most soft and beautiful, gentle voice, it was everything, the whole performance including the way they looked at each other and held hands, they sang it so beautifully and passionately, it was pure 💯% perfection and the lyrics of the song...maaan it really touched my heart, to the point where I didn't want it to end and it still touches me to this day and makes me feel emotional all these years later and takes me right back to the very first night they performed and sang this song, better than the original in my personal opinion (but of course you may respectfully disagree). Then the dreaded time came for one of them to be voted off and I didn't want either of them to go at this stage, I was truly gutted.😢 I'll also never forget the night we watched it on "The Voice", the living room lights were off so the mood was already set and I turned to my daughter (with tears down my face and neck) to ask her in my broken voice, could just about speak, what she thought of their performance and she was just a blabbering mess too like 😭, LOL😂 and she said with her voice breaking up "that was so beautiful..." then she laughingly said "what are we like". We both said they should get together permanently after the show as a duet and get permission to release that version and agreed how perfect they'd be singing more songs together as their vouce compliment one another and considering I hardly do concerts, I'd pay to go and see them sing or would buy their music. Peace!✌🏽
its the point where within 20 secs you feel that you are gasping for air and you can actually hear your heartbeat slowing down. Amazing to both of you and yes do something together. Thank you for this incredible feeling listening to this performance.
He and the original artist have a history of performing together in addition to having a lot of things in life in common. The song was originally performed by Antony & The Johnsons.
These two are remarkable in how they affect ones emotions. There is something so profound here! This song and both of their voices are devastating together.
There's something about this that is just magic. I could listen to it for hours, I just love the emotion and the vulnerability they both portray. The way they seem to flow with each other throughout is just beautiful. Their chemistry almost reminds me of The Civil Wars.
Thank you, Chloe and Alaric for such a beautiful, emotional rendition of Anthony's 'Hope there's Someone' - totally blew me away.. tear-jerking performance..
Each and every time I listen to this, I end up with tears in my eyes, it's such a beautiful song, and they done it so well. They seem to just seamlessly connect with not only the song, but each other, which is so so important. This is beautiful, fair play to the coach for this, excellent choice
Absolutely beautiful & completely captivating. Pretty sure if they were to release this version it would be a massive hit. Amazing voices, well chosen Ricky!
