This wasn't even a battle, it was utter perfection. They both complimented each other so well and this is my favourite cover of this song. Most signed singers today couldn't deliver such a moving performance. Captivating.
Still to this day THE best battle from The Voice UK - one of the best performances from the show - I hope both Singers are still entertaining audiences in 2020 and beyond with their talents! Bravo!
When Jordan hit that belt on 'all the things I should have said but I never SAAIID!' I had the same reaction as Boy George! Such an incredible interpretation of the lyric right there! Filled with emotion! Bravo!
Jane cooper Jordan is a girl and to not respect that and her identity seems to be going against the love God would want us to have for one another :) Try again and maybe this time save the judging for the big guy ;)
During the rehearsal jordan basically gave up saying she couldn't sing it. she was having trouble with the higher notes & said Theo should just sing it. paloma told her she was being over critical of herself & was basically her own worst enemy. To then come out & sing like that in the battle was nothing short of amazing. She has very little confidence in herself but a beautiful voice. Tonight was one of the few times I've actually cried upon hearing a song...beautiful & I'm glad Theo got through too :)
The thing I really like about this performance is that they weren't trying to oversing it in order to outdo each other. They were telling a story and let the song move them, and some of that required they be quieter and more tentative in places. I love them both.
@@hells9076 Paloma Faith said all along that she hated the term "battle round" and preferred to call it the duets round. All of her acts sang together rather than trying to outsing their partners.
I love both of them. Theo's voice feels like chocolate, it just melts all over. Jordan is full of raw emotion and edgy. Really good I've enjoyed them both!
there was a few amazing performances ... something special happened. I loved the hope there's someone performance and the girl with dreads singing with Tobias .. great night of TV ....finally something good to say about the BBC
+Jamie Hume it was an amazing night of tv! And amazing to see it being recorded, much better than seeing the blinds for seasons 2,3 and 4 being recorded live!
***** I'd see your point if he only sang in a soprano but he sings low too. Suppose it's simply down to personal taste, I thought he was particularly excellent on this performance.
vincent c smith For what it's worth would you please relay to him that this performance was for me and many I know, truly memorable. He came across as a lovely guy and it's criminal someone so gifted isn't up there with Otis and Marvin. He has that rare thing where his delivery can't fail to hit you emotionally.
Stunning. What with the previous Anthony and the Johnsons cover and now this. You have four stupendously talented singers right here. Their delivery of magnificent art by such respected artists full of integrity and truth. In tears. I can say I'm quite surprised by the talent on this show. Good on you BBC, far more creative and pushing of the envelope than certain competitors. Full of feeling and emotion and inspiration.
Theo's falsetto is more than perfect for that song. Its beautiful. But Jordan's technique is also beautiful and artistic. It was an even battle. Id chose Theo though.
Both really good & rightly both went through. JORDAN unique voice, and a voice that suited this song. THEO is a pro to me. He would excel at any singing challenge on this show. He will take on anything and do well. You could just tell.
So many people saying Theo won this. I need to be representing Jordan - her interpretation was so unique and interesting and I felt her performance was more emotive. Jordan wins for me :)
Some things are written in the stars. Jordan lives very close to me (the local paper tells me!), so I think I should probably root for her on that basis alone, but add in her bravery and the immensity of the journey she is on and I think we are seeing the emergence of a real challenger. Despite the name of the show, it isn't all about the voice - it's about the narrative, and for me Jordan is a star in the making. Having said that BOTH singers did a fantastic job and I'm so glad Theo was stolen by Will. I think we will see a lot more good things from both of these singers, but from now on my eye will be firmly on Jordan. What a heartrendingly beautiful performance this was.
Just wondering, since The Voice is moving to ITV next year and they disable comments on their videos will you stop giving your feedback or do it in another way?
Replay 100 times!!! Very very special version. Both are full of soul. I love theo. Jordan gives listeners such shivers that is unexplainable. Both are worth keeping. Congratulations
I still think in my mind that this is probably THE best Battle/Duet ever on The Voice so far what a pair!! They were BOTH amazing in their Parts!! I like others are still moved by this after 4 years!!
Fair play to whoever decided on the arrangement of the lyric. Complemented both vocal styles. The greatest voice performance ever, nothing else comes close.
Outstanding performance from both Jordan and Theo congrats Paloma for this duet and song choice tearjerker what a future wow #TeamPaloma wow this woman's work wonder what Kate Bush will say ... exciting times for UK music
I loved Jordan! Her performance had so much emotion in it and her voice is unique. I like the vibration (vibrato I think?) in it. Also she has amazing hair and cheekbones + her eyes are beautiful
Dope, dope, dope! Amazing performance from both... yet no one can match Liam Tamne's rendition of this song. That audition was God's gift to the world!
THE BEST BATTLE EVER OF UK AND WORLD. BOTH WON. BUT THE WOMAN IS JUST SIMPLY SPECIAL... I WAS MAD WHEN THEY DIDENT TURN FOR HER AND NOW JUSTICE HAS HAPPENS. THANK YOU GOD...
This along with Alaric v Chloe are the best duets in the history of the voice. Vocal perfection. Theo has the voice of an angel. His falsetto is utter perfection 👏🏻
My top 3 battles in the 3 major English speaking episodes go 1 Jordan Grey & Theo "This Womans Work" The Voice UK 2) Sapphire & Chris Sebastian "Titanium" The Voice Australia 3. Jordan Smith & Regina Love "Like I Can" The Voice USA THIS battle is what my bar is set to on what a battle should be. This is the best cover I have ever heard of this classic song and thank GOD it was done to the utmost respect to Kate Bush's music
The quality of their performance is just outstanding. This was just one of several of the duets that worked really well for me either via the chemistry they had together or the individual performance of each where their performance matched well.
Back here AGAIN in 2021 to listen to this after the Voice airs on tv again. Still the best battle performance!......and why aren’t Jordan and Theo out there producing music???
Theo, its the way you stand there and look so underestimated . so!!!!!! gentlemanly. blew ME AWAY... Voice was so angelic ...x I just loved this perfomance xx Hope you do well mate xxx
I never even watched the voice until I knew my Boy George was going to be on it!! Am still not the biggest fan of the voice but this version of Kate Bush’s This Womans Work & Kevin Simms Sia Chandelier? The 2 best reasons ever and I keep coming back!!! Goosebumps every single time, thank you ❤️💃🏼❤️💃🏼❤️😍❤️💃🏼😍❤️
