This is AWESOME !! I never saw this. I LOVE how loyal Chloe is to Jack !! What a wonderful & loyal friend she is ! Thank you so much for posting this.:)
@MrBrady2208 this isn't a 24 episode, this is the epilogue of season 8, and of the whole show. The show ended (as you probably know) when Jack talked with Chloe and said "thanks for everything", and now she refuses to give out Jack's location.
Know what always annoyed the hell out of me about this? After all the trouble she caused them, you would think Taylor, before resigning, could have signed a pardon for Chloe, Cole and Jack, it would have been a good way to end the series as well instead of the open ender we get with LAD. I mean why not? Then at least she could stay as head of CTU or retire to a new life. The Russians would still be after Jack but at least he could stay in the United States.
Wait, was Chloe arrested and held by CIA, FBI the entire time? (Until Jack broke her out in Live another day 4 years) Idk, she worked for Adrian cross, so she must've escaped after this? I think she was released (not escaped) because she got back together with Prescott and Morris as they died when Morris took him to soccer instead of Chloe. After the death she must've went and worked with Adrian until she was caught by CIA.
Tony Grayal They were never very clear on what happened between this scene and her first appearance in "Live Another Day" other than Morris' and Prescott's death and that she thought the government was aiming for her instead. It would be interesting to see what happens if they bring the show back again for another limited series--and they probably will. I thought Heller pardoned Chloe along with Jack, but the new question is how they're going to get Jack back from the Russians...He's probably gonna be in worse shape than he was when the Chinese gave him back to CTU...
Chloe and Morris's marriage was always a sham. A marriage of convenience. Jack and her son Prescott were always her priority's. Not Morris. Their first marriage was out of her sense of responsibility to him due to him being an alcoholic. Their second marriage was out of pity due to him arming nuclear weapons for Fayed and Prescott. She thought that by keeping their son instead of aborting him or giving up for adoption would keep him from relapsing. Chloe has never wanted a family of her own because it would only hold her back from doing something that's more important to her: her job. Chloe's always been like that, making other people's problems her own because she wants to help people. She is this mother figure to everyone. Always taking care of other people but never letting others take care of her. She does that by herself. Not only Chloe chose Jack over her family, this scene showed who Chloe is as a person. Chloe cannot live without her principles, that's why she will never put her family or anyone else above them. If she would give up her principles, she would have no reason to live anymore. I think what really happened with Morris and Prescott was that as a result of everything that's happened to her, Jack's personal betrayal, being practically used as a Governments pawn and serving prison time, Chloe became completely emotionally unavailable to her family and to everything. I think that she believed that she didn't matter to the people that she cared about. She's always suffered from inferiority complex. She lost herself and her faith in everything. Chloe couldn't any longer properly take care of her family so Morris most likely filed a divorce. I think the reason why she felt so responsible for their death's was because she was so detached that she wasn't paying close enough attention to them. Chloe could handle Morris's death, considering that they had a very strained relationship, but not her son's. Dying in the traffic accident, being informed about it and having to ID her child's body... That's a whole lot of baggage to deal with. That's when nothing mattered to Chloe anymore. She stopped caring. She was dead inside. I think the way Chloe lost her child is worse than Jack losing his wife. Prescott was always way more important to Chloe than Morris ever was.
Joel Surnow/ La Femme Nikita connection: the guy that plays her hubby was Mick Schtoppel/ Mr. Jones stand in. Weird to see him in this role. Damn FBI goons.
The REAL finale scene from season 8 - edited out (Im guessing) because the show had been cancelled and they wanted as little cliffhanger left as possible. Cant wait til Live Another Day starts up: from what I gather, she's also on the run; her son Prescott is dead; and Miles has left her as a result. She may be an angry bitch when May 5th rolls around.
How can it be "the real" final scene? The show is in real-time. This scene wouldn't have followed on immediately from anywhere in the final episode. This was just a bonus scene for the DVD
This doesn't make sense though, nobody except Taylor, Cole and Arlo knew that Chloe helped Jack escape, and non of them would snitch about it. How did anyone find out about it?
