Hello 😊 You may get confused about this Iron(Fe) deficiency with Magnesium(Mg) deficiency. But the deficiency I first found on the youngest leaves of my gardenia and treated based on that... And the updates are in front of you...😊😊😊 Probably will try to make a separate video on Magnesium(Mg) deficiency so if you are interested, feel free to Subscribe with Bell 🔔 .. See you soon 😊😊❤❤❤💮💮💮

Ammonium sulphate best one for gardenia soil amendment .. more than iron deficiency .. Iron availability is major problem faced by many gardeners.. which is most likely due to alkaline nature of soi👍

Madam, you have appropriately explained the iron deficiency problem and the remedy as well. But I will suggest that sulphur be foliar applied along with Ferrous sulphate. I do not think even chelated iron will cure the problem in one spray. Please try Thiourea , 1 gram dissolved in 2 litres of water, and mixed with 4 gram ferrous sulphate, left for half an hour for stabilization. This solution will correct the chlorosis very effectively.

With the chlorosis, how I’ve dealt with: even though they are panicle, alkaline soil will make it harder to uptake nutrients. For slow acting methods, I’ve amended soil with a bit of soil acidifier and top dressed with compost mixed peat moss. Then I hammered in a slow release iron-only fertilizer stake close to plant but not too close to the roots. You are just providing extra iron to help it. There is also Cal Mag and iron only supplemental liquid fertilizers. These are more fast acting. All have helped both my hydrangeas, petunias, and magnolia trees that were suffering. We live in an area with highly alkaline soil

How often we should add chelated iron in soil and foliar spray? Is it weekly , monthly or bi-weekly? And the quantity also.
@Plantalogy
@Plantalogy 3 года назад
Hello.🙂 It varies from one product to another. You will get the instructions on the amendment package. Some are weekly basis and some are monthly. But if you go with organic fertilizer then add fertilizer every 15 days of intervals. But that will work very slowly...🙂🙂🙂🌼🌼.

Leaves of potted chrysanthemums are turning slightly yellow. Can I add compost(kitchen waste) and 1 tsp of dried used coffee powder (soaked overnight) to the soil? If yes, application is once a month?
@Plantalogy
@Plantalogy 3 года назад
It could be due to rainwater. Sometimes too much rainwater turns the leaves yellow., if your plant is overall looking healthy, then keep it away from the rainwater and yes you can use compost and coffee powder once a month. Just make sure the compost is well rotten and the coffee powder is well dried. 🙂🙂🍀🍀🏵️🏵️

I have a cape jasmine tthat I brought 5 days before.. I kept it as indoor plant and its flower is turning brown at tip... Could you please tell what will be the reason
@Plantalogy
@Plantalogy 3 года назад
Hello 🙂 Cape jasmine needs a good amount of sun in a day.. Maybe that is getting less light as well as stabilizing in the new area, plant drop some leaves, buds or buds turn brown and fall off. Also temperature probably below 10°c, gardenia fall buds, and leaves. But you can check this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xE3iUiGf1pQ.html Where I shared what to do after purchasing a plant. 🙂🙂🙂🌼🌼🌼 Feel free to Subscribe If you think my future videos would be helpful to you.. 🙂🙂

I have many plants of which only two get their leafs yellow: hoya carnosa during its flowering, adding diluted lemon water helps; and clerodendrum tompsonii which stays slightly yellow many months and acidic water does not help. I use very good Mongolian soil mix, it is organic, large particles and total black. So, there are chelated iron pills or even injections for humans, can I apply them diluted? Warm greeting from Mongolia.❤

Hay Btw... how do i know that its not Mg and Mn deficiency???? Coz symptoms are same no????
@Plantalogy
@Plantalogy 3 года назад
It is difficult to examine the deficiencies by the naked eye. Mn deficiency is similar to the Fe, appear 1st on new leaves. but Mg deficiency symptoms appear 1st on older leaves. Mostly alkaline-loving plants show such a type of problem if the soil gets slightly acidic. So it's better to use organic fertilizer. organic fertilizers supply all those micro & macro nutrients. 🙂🙂🙂

@@Plantalogy My cucumber leaves turning yellow. I foliar fed MgSo4,B,Zn, and Mo soln after root watering them with high K and P. But leaves are not responding. My soil is slightly alkaline after adding slack lime with RHA and cow manure. How do i cure it...
@Plantalogy
@Plantalogy 3 года назад
Possibly it's because of the change of weather. If the new leaves are growing okay then you do not need to add anything...Cuz too much fertilization can kill your plant. But sometimes new leaves also arrive with browning. However, during this time I'm also facing the yellow leaves problem and it's because of heat...
