I was gifted a lime tree recently so I'm still learning how to take care of it . This is exactly what my plants look like (green veins with yellowing ). This video is very helpful thanks .
Iron chelated with EDTA will not harm your plants if diluted at 0.5% on water, and will be absorbed up to PH 7 with no problem without acidifier. You can also use more expensive EDDHA iron good to about PH 9.
Hello, I think my citrus are deficient in iron or some other problem from the start of summer and stopped growing from that point and new growth was veiny, now when it's winter they look even worse and some dropped all their leaves, I did gave them chelated iron during november, but didn't do much. I could provide some photos (in messenger for example). I know cooler roots could cause it too and most of the summer nights were cold, but last winter I kept them cool with no growlight and they did fine and now they are warmer, have 60w grow light and are doing worse.
My kumquat tree fell out some leaves and started to die back from the top. I brought it inside the house. Is my kumquat tree just need enough sunlight and warmer temperature to stay alive during winter?
Heres what you do..... first water your plant and run a pH test. Make sure it's acidic ( 6.5) pull out the plant and look at the roots very closely looking for fungus gnat larvae, if you do, remove all the soil and repot with clean new soil, add hydrogen peroxide and water your plant. This will kill the larvae left, Do not overwater your plant or you will get root rot. 2 weeks later mist your plant's leaves with foliar spray vitamins for citrus, Give it good light, 8 to 10 hours a day as much direct sunlight as you can. Then feed it will your chelated iron, and magnesium salts. Do not overdo. moderation is best. That should make your plant happy,,, watch for new leaves to emerge in a couple of weeks.
when your tree is blooming heavily the tree is taking all the water (pH 6.0 to 6.5) for the flowers, Water more during blossoming and give it some fertilier, not too much, the yellowing is caused by so many flowers . You can add a small amout of nitrogen, but sparingly.
