Loved this band from day dot … still reckon they are one of the finest and most underrated bands in the land! Live they are amazing and Adam’s vocals just seem to get better … one helluva front man

Saw these guys live in Bendigo when at Uni, small crowd listening to a pub band. That weekend they were on Hey Hey it Saturday with this awesome song (always a fan of the original). About 3-4 weeks later they were back at the same nightclub and you could hardly get in the place.
Saw these guy's live in Darwin back in the 90's. . .fkn awesome live. The lead singer was a madman lol. . climbed up on top of the bins (speakers) and just went mad during this song. . very memorable, was fkn brilliant night !! Sadly Zoran Romic, who played guitar and vocals passed away in March 2012. Glad I got to see the original lineup. Very hard to forget that night in Darwin when the boys came to town and just rocked the place !
Wow , I did work experience as a kid for school and I did it at the Dane centre studios in Brunswick Melbourne and this clip was filmed there and I had to set up the curtains on the wall Mics ect. Good times
English class. I was mindlessly humming this tune. She turned around and asked "so, you think I'm vain?" I said "no, it's just a song", We met again after 15 years after graduation and we ended up dating. She told me, "you're such an idiot while we're at school. Was not long after this GREAT tune had 1st hit the charts, I'm old now, rough guess was around 30-ish years back? My ol local pub , The Tall Timbers @ Ourimbah NSW ( Near Gosford) had just spent a fortune building a function room & Micky Trembath the publican pulled a few of us up saying "I've booked this band, Chocolate Starfish to be the 1st band to play in the new room, Wodda ya's reckon?" Gotta be honest & admit, the 1st thing we all did was start giggling at the name.. hahahahaha (appears that not everyone 'gets' it... lol ). Cut to the next Saturday night...... HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a show!!!! Yep, obviously the bulk of their tunes we didn't know, i 'think' there was cover tune or two?... But DAMN, i'll not forget the way Adam played the stage. Prowling & Howling like a madman. The lads were performing to around a 100 or so of us, but were playing it like a full house at the Hollywood Bowl. Could not help but be BLOWN AWAY & also could not help but draw a comparison to THE great Aussie 'frontman' Doc Neeson of The Angels, & that is a huge compliment. Also gotta say, the lads helped pack their own shit away at the end then came down to sink some piss with us all, a lot of Tooheys Draught,smiles & backslapping. hahahahahaha Cut to around 10 years later, I'm working security at Channel 9 at Willoughby & Adam arrives for a meeting with Richard Wilkins (Dickie REALLY is a dick, but I digress..lol), I meet Ad's as he is about to enter reception & have a quick chat asking if he remembered the Tallies gig & he does, :D. Mentioned Trembath & everything.

The bands name always makes me laugh .... lol ... not many people realise what it means .... lol ... I remember as a teenager gobsmacked that they were able to get away with it or presenters introducing them on tv show's were able to keep a straight face ! 🤣🤣

I like this Carly Simon song fr decades ago. A few days ago heard this group's version in a supermarket for the 1st time. Didn't quite like the lead vocal guy's singing until the chorus. Sounds gd wif more instruments, fuller sound.
