Choice Making for Young Children 

I’m a stay at home mom with hopes to be a preschool teacher one day and am thoroughly enjoying your videos. It’s so helpful and I’m so glad I found your channel, thank you!

I am not a teacher, I'm a mother of 2. An 8 year old girl and an 18 month old boy. Parents need your useful information too! Children first learn at home. ☺ I am over here taking notes. Hehe

So helpful ...I need to implement these choices with my 4 year old...I will from now offer two choices...thanks for these helpful tips they are so handy while dealing with toddlers .......great explanation ...loved the video !!!! thanks a ton ....

I'm cracking up with laughter. The look on the faces of the precocious ones when you offer 2 "good" choices after they've chosen one of them is priceless. It reads, "This isn't what I had in mind, but these are the choices I was given....so I'll stick with for a minute."

What would be a good action to take if the child does not want to make either choice given and continue, say, torturing other classmates/ running around/ or another unacceptable behavior?

What do you say if, after you've given them those choices, they say, "Momma cleaning up is boooorrring. I don't want to clean up either."
