The seventh episode of The Acolyte, "Choice" brings into focus the Jedi perspective of what happened on Brendock that fateful night sixteen years prior. This week Frank, Kevin, and Brandon take a hard look at some of the criticisms the show has faced over the weeks as well as (and perhaps more importantly) diving into the nuances of the actions of the Jedi and exploring the complexities of the actions taken and the consequences of those choices.

I think a lot of the blame goes on Disney+ because they seem to mandate most SW and Marvel shows have relatively short runtimes and episode counts (minus Andor). That would stifle a lot of breathing room for these shows.

I think they try to set it up I think with sol seeing Osha wanting to save the creature and Mae wanting to kill it while he was spying on them. They seem to think that was enough to back up his choosing of Osha. And totally agree with brandon about the smoke, like what was she doing and why if she was ok with Osha going with them?

As others have said, these would have worked better at the start of the series rather than builduing up the whole season to this payoff. Looking at it that way, it was underwhelming

It's a really rough one. There's absolutely no(good)reason that this and #3 were not one episode, and that, that composite episode should have been #1. Or maybe not even an episode at all. They could have just weaved this story thru the remainder of the telling thru revelations or much smaller, contained flashbacks. Super sloppy story telling. I really don't think they're gonna stick this landing.
