What do you do when someone attacks you with a choke from behind?
1. Address the immediate threat - defend the choke to buy yourself time. Relieve pressure by clamping the attackers arm and drive it down
2. Drop down and base and get your center of gravity underneath your opponents. Begin to elevate your attackers feet off of the ground
3. Initiate the throw by rotating your core and looking over your shoulder. Turn both hips and shoulders simultaneously.
4. Adjust your stance by stepping back to stabilize yourself. Use your shin as a brace against your opponent. Optional - finish with an armbar
