Description from VHS case:
"From classic steam locomotives to the modern diesels of today, this program presents a wide variety of live-action trains on the move. Ride along and take a look inside engine cabs and passenger cars. Listen to steam whistles toot and diesel horns blare as they alert viewers of the trains approach. Lots of steam, smoke and close-ups. Great trackside views in the city, country and mountains."

“Core memory unlocked” For real. This was one of the first train videos I watched ever. I think I was 3-5 years old. This pretty much cemented my love of trains.

587 was the first real steam locomotive I was introduced to when I first watched this and it pretty much sparked my interest for trains. Later on I got the “Lots and Lots of Trains” dvd’s and a few Pentrex VHS’s. Those were some glorious days

God it took me forever to find it. This video here was my peak childhood interest in trains, way back when I was 4 or 5 and all the way to this very day. I probably watched this about a hundred times as a kid before my parents got rid of our VCR. It's so great to see other people showing their same sense of nostalgia :D

Most equipment pictured here is still operational. 611, 1630, and 425 all were out of service for a number of years, but have since returned. 587 and the Hawaiian locomotives are stored with unknown futures. 497 is out of service. 603 and one UP diesel that i could make out the number on have been scrapped.
@peterdanta6960
@peterdanta6960 9 месяцев назад
I'm afraid that the Hawaiian locomotives might have been destroyed/severely damaged due to wildfires in Maui this past year, unfortunately.

This could be a Mandela effect, but I remember the intro screen being pure white and the text is all black. And the ending would just fade to white with small credits, and not show the extra stuff.
