I can't use digital planners, I need to physically write it down or I'll forget it. So I have a desk monthly calendar, a Passion Planner, which I love and I also type every assignment into a document and every reading into a document and they go into my binder. The Passion Planner has time slots from 5am to 10:30pm and has personal/work goals. Work is school for me. Great video!
Our school uses Microsoft Office 365. In the Outlook app there is a calendar with a a to-do list, contacts, and notes. I can color code, use charms, and share my calendar with others. Even though it is a calendar I use it as a planner. I create a bunch of "meetings" which I see as containers or time I have allocated a certain class. Then before that week approaches I put in what task should go in that allocated time "container". I can tell by doing this if I am spending too much time on a class meaning I should probably go get help or too little time meaning I should explore the topic deeper to challenge myself.
I plan to use a discbound half-letter sized planner with inserts from Cloth and Paper and 8lotus. I've also taken a shot at creating my own to meet my exact needs. I love writing things down and I'm obsessed with pens and paper products lol.
This is actionable content, through and through! Taking notes! I’m excited to get prepared for this fall. I plan to use Google calendar for my monthly planner, Notion for the weekly planner, and Todoist for a daily schedule.
Thanks for sharing my digital bullet journal video! Planners and bullet journals are such lifesavers for grad school. I love that they help not just with staying organized, but as creative outlets, too. My grad student plan with me videos are some of my favorites to create. I use the google calendar. I do print it in a landscape formar. I like to take notes on it and fix it in a wall in my office. But, I also have this App in my mobile phone.
For work we use Microsoft outlook. We don't have a choice. For home/personal use apple calendar on my phone. School a physical planner for day to day, however i will use the school's Google calendar for appointments with others as well as my physical planner.
I’m still a freshman in my undergrad of accounting and will use these tips. One question, is it possible to finish my master’s in accounting, then get a doctorate in an unrelated field of study?
I think that it depends how unrelated the field is. I would definitely talk with someone at the program that you are interested in. You may be required to take some prerequisite courses first. I have a friend who got his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering, masters in business, and phd in math. So it's possible!
I'm starting my grad program in 3 weeks and I had no idea that I should have been planning for it this whole time because I'm doing a dual degree....lol help
