Hey! Between my childcare background and having two children of my own, I have used a few different kinds and brands of swaddles. These are some of the swaddles that I recommend and do not recommend, but the important thing is to find what works best for you and your baby!

Very helpful!! Im dealing with reflux and arm movement waking up my baby, but he loves his arms free🤦🏾‍♀️. It's a struggle

I had the same bamboo blankets by the same company and I also found it did not keep my first swaddled and the threading came loose. It’s not just your blanket! I kept them around just to lay him down on.

The ones with zipper and arms, isn’t the whole purpose (or an important one) to prevent babies from startling themselves from that reflex they have where their arms go up when they’re sleeping?

So I’m confused as if it’s helpful or not because babies arms are still free!

The Swaddle Up and the Nested Bean both allow for your baby to sleep with their arms up. This was the natural position that both of my girls liked to sleep in. It also allowed for access to their hands (still through the swaddle) for self soothing. It is still a tight swaddle, so it does still help with the Moro reflex, without completely confining their arms. The Nested Bean has a wrap on the inside though if your baby does best with their arms down. I liked that it was so versatile depending on what your baby prefers for sleep.

Do you still prefer the swaddle me swaddle for newborn size as well? Or is it better for small and medium size? Thank you

Sorry I missed your comment. I found it best for when Emi was a newborn, but she outgrew them quickly.
