What does fluidity mean?

@@itsdomd0misticn00b7 it means like your movements are flowy, like a water. Most of the times, this can be seen in your torso. This is the opposite of sharpness. Did you know seulgi of RV? Her technique is sharp, you may compare her with Chaeryeong to see the difference between fluidity and sharpness.

@@itsdomd0misticn00b7 I wouldn't say flexibility. Seulgi just so happens to be less flexible than chaeryeong. Just think about it this way. Chaeryeong is all about making every move connect seamlessly and seulgi makes every move stand out in its own. Chaeryeong would roll her body into the next but seulgi would stop and then execute another move. I hope I'm making sense lol

@@itsdomd0misticn00b7 for me, no. Flexibility is based on the range of movements that we can do (in our joints and muscles). It will be mainly on the extension of movements. Fluidity 1:26-1:27 look at how Chaeryeong moves compare to others. Her chest moves freely, not steady or stiff. This is just my opinion.

@Thyxs 123 why was it that I thought lia was a really really good dancer in like dalla dalla era and then I guess when she got criticized (or bashed more likely) that she lost her confidence.. Idk just my opinion but when itzy debuted I thought all of them were dancers

@@deanneruth6609 I think it was bc Dalla Dalla was practiced for months while their comebacks were just weeks. Lia is a good learner while the others are just natural. She's now on her way to be a naturally good dancer too. She's definitely my bias right from the start, I love her voice.

Just curious, why was Yeji chosen as the best dancer for Not shy when Chae executed most moves better?

@@lasciemie6346 Chae was probably not confident in her own dancing when actually lots of people ranked her first instead of Yeji, as they should because Chae got good musicality and dynamics

Even though we consider Chaeryeong the best dancer by technique, I prefer Ryujin's style, she's so cool.

I tried to execute hip centered technique but the lack of hip on my body don't lie.

It also helps with identifying what parts we would prefer using when we dance. Any time I attempt an Itzy dance or any kpop dance, I prefer Ryujin's movements because my legs are stronger and more in-tune with the movements. Chaeryeong's hip movement feels too unnatural and Lia's arm dependency feels stiff. Just goes to show it's not a matter of having an "easy way" to dance, but just your own style.

The only thing that had change is that Chaeryeong suddenly lacked facials this comeback while Yeji overcame her tendency to overdance.

@@sugarking1051 Yeji's issue of overdancing is already so long and Midzy's and her haters are still not over in it. They always use that "overdancing" to downgrade Yeji and praise Chae and it sucks like what? They're both so good. They have different techniques and they're the best in their own forte. I also personally think that Yeji really overcome that "overdancing" issue and she's getting more fluid now and Chae doesn't focus on smoothness all the time now. She is also getting more powerful and sharp. No need to compare. STAN ITZYYYYY.

@Thyxs 123 I would say for Lia, I see 2 main issues. The first is lack of power. Even if she's graceful and soft, there are some moves that require energy or sharpness. They are doing hip hop moves afterall. Chearyeong may be fluid, but she knows when a move needs it. Second is that she misses details. If she's doing a hand movement, she kinda forgets about the hips. Or she'll be focusing on her legs and miss the head bumps. If you watch again, you can probably see what I mean. Mina's technique is great. She gets all the moves right, doesn't overdance nor underdance. She is graceful and fluid, but because she doesn't have much charisma, facial expression, or power on stage, she doesn't stand out when compared to the others. Jihyo, Momo and Sana always give it their all, and Tzuyu has the looks, so people tend to keep their eyes on them. Chaeyoung is my bias, and I know she's super talented, but her presence on stage is lacking. She tends to underdance unless it's her turn to sing, so I tend to look at the 3 above who catch my attention the most. Many seem to think energy and stage presence matters most for dancing, but technique is certainly the most important. If you've ever seen those videos of people who have a lot of energy and expression but can't dance, you'd know what I'm talking about 😂 Lia has a foundation, she's not a bad dancer at all, but it's underdeveloped. She probably hasn't danced much in the past and it shows. I probably looked the same when I started learning covers in high school, but with video games and Kpop, with time, I naturally improved and can learn dances quickly. She'll have to improve quickly due to the dances her group does, and I've already seen improvement. I think in a couple years, she could easily be a lead dancer in another group 😊 She's working hard and wants to get better, it just takes time and practice!

I'd say no, her angles are great but if you look at the time stamp 2:33 you can see her shoulders are slightly hunched and hips don't form a curve compared to chaeryoung,
