In this video I talk about the things you should be considering when choosing a new bow. Marketing from most conpanies tells you what THEY think you need, but there are a lot more things to consider. Hopefully this helps!

Good stuff bud! BTW wanted to thank you for hooking me up with the Phase4 33” not to mention the top notch tuning you provided, also really like my arrow build you set me up with. I ended up smoking a nice 6x6 bull! THANK YOU.

Also, if you have a bow you like you don’t have to upgrade to the latest and greatest every single year.

I found that most of my fatigue and errors from shooting just comes from the bow being heavy. I've never really been worried about vibration, draw weight, noise, etc. My only concern is the feel of the valley and back wall, and being able to shoot the same way for an entire afternoon. So I bought myself a Mach 34 and some custom strings. Dialed in for my draw length costs me about 3.5# from what the limbs were rated for, but it holds super steady and is very comfortable to hold. I want a target bow, but honestly this thing shoots well enough I don't think I need one. It just takes time to get tuned and settled in.

What’s a few good options for a 31 to 32 draw length 700-1000 $ bow ? Seems like everything is 30in draw besides the bear paradigm

Yeah your going to have a very hard time finding a mid range priced bow in those specs. I’d look at a flag ship bow that’s a year or two old. Get a better bow for the same money

Enjoyed the segment and Congrats on your Elk hunt! IRT your Phase 4 Mathews...do you have 70-80 lb limbs? You mentioned your set up was 75lbs @292 fps. Thanks!

There aren’t different limb options, just mods that change the peak weight, so I have the 75# mids

You found a Athens dealer wow. There is none in my State I called Athens and the told me. You can become a dealer if you buy ten bows a year from them at good price.

Dam, I have the Triax, just picked it up used and I struggle with keeping the pin on target at 30/40 yards. FYI I also haven’t shot a bow in 10 years, I will keep at it. 26” dl, Great Info

I prefer a 34-35" ATA bow. I chose the right bow (35" ATA, 340 fps IBO, 6.25" brace height, & 4.5 pounds net weight) for myself 10 years ago. If I were to replace my 2013 bow with a 2023 bow (same brand) the specs would be 34" ATA, 340 fps IBO, 6.25" brace height, & 4.6 pounds net weight. I like everything (draw cycle, solid backwall, accuracy, quietness, etc..) about my current 2013 bow. I see no reason to buy another bow in my lifetime. I sincerely prefer what I have over what is offered today. If you're new to bow hunting, however, the choices are great.

The one upside of being a left handed shooter with a 32.5 inch draw is I usually only have 1-3 hunting bows to choose from in any given year

For me bow fit is everything. 33 to 36 bow for my 6 foot frame. Adjustable cams. Simple bow design with the cross cable system like Bowtech elite , hoyt, athens. The Athens vista 35 im thinking of purchasing

Personally being on the shorter draw i perfer 32in ATA with 6.5 BH. Not much a speed chaser so that doesn't really matter to me. I look for how it holds n how it feels after the shot. All high end bows are quite. There is a sound difference if you get budget models, but there are ways to get it to quite down. I also don't use back bars so just shooting with a front bar the bows that holds best for are usually pse, bowtech, and elite.

If you had a $1500 budget to purchase everything you needed to get started in archery, what would you buy? Im talking bow, sight, rest, release, and a half dozen arrows. Go!
@InsideOutPrecision
@InsideOutPrecision 11 месяцев назад
Hoyt torex, hamskea primer rest, black gold Rush sight, tight spot quiver, b3 nemesis release, gold tip xt hunter arrows.

@@InsideOutPrecision appreciate the response. I went with the hoyt torrex, whisker biscuit, redline rl4, b3 hawk and some easton 6.5 hunter classics. I figured it was a decent starting point. Thanks again man. The content is great. Keep up the good work. I wish there was more videos guiding newbies, or more budget friendly gear videos

Only thing I would of added as a deciding factor is tuning abilities. If you get a SS34 (Bow tech), the ability to tune target/league arrows, and a variety of hunting arrows without a press is pretty clutch. Reduces the amount of bows someone with a fixed budget would love

Exactly the reasons I bought a Prime Revex 2. Smooth draw cycle, dead in the hand at full draw, perfectly balanced without the need of stabilizers. Still waiting on my UV slider though.

If quiet and no shock make you like to shoot more then that bow will be more accurate than the one that sits in the closet because it doesn’t make you want to shoot it
@InsideOutPrecision
@InsideOutPrecision 11 месяцев назад
To each their own. If a bow that is slightly louder aims and shoots better than one that’s more quiet, I’m going to enjoy being more accurate with the louder bow.
@tonyviers-de9qi

@@InsideOutPrecisionabsolutely. You are an experienced shooter. So youve shot alot of bows. I would think less experienced guys would really enjoy how smooth and quiet some of these bows are . I think each person has a different perspective too.
