Edea official blade size chart is confusing. The recommended blade size for edea 235 is size 9. And I measured the actual boot bottom is 9 inch. Should I go with 8.75 instead of 9 ?

🙏 I have wondered and read about this question a lot - whether 1/4 inch shorter or full-length blade (in relation to rocker placement and balance) - on the fitter's advice, I got blades 1/4 inch shorter than my Risport boot soles - from the internet, I have got the impression that I might not be able to transfer these blades to Jackson boots in my size.

I have a question how do you know when you need new skates and blade

Actually, a question about how to wear your boots. My left foot is slightly bigger than my right, so I had to get the size for my left foot. That means my right boot is a bit big for my right foot, leaving some wiggle room for the right foot. So, for my right foot, should I try to push my heel back (by tapping the heel) or should I try to push my toes forward? As a matter of fact, even the left boot has some wiggle room though not as much as the right boot. So I guess the question goes for both feet. Maybe I need to consider the blade? It’s a JW Gold Seal which I believe has the rocker way up front. In that case, maybe I should try to push my toes forward as much as possible? I tried it a few times the past couple of weeks, and I could feel much more grip on the edges (which is awesome) but since it’s a totally new feeling, I have to get used to it and want to make sure it’s not something stupid before I commit.

I have a question for the next time you do a Q&A! should I be constantly pointing my toes when I skate? I'm used to always pointing my toes super hard in ballet and never relaxing the foot. But I hardly ever do (unless I'm doing a spiral) because I feel like it strains my boot... Maybe just a subtle point but not a really hard one is good?
