Reasons why I love this channel: 1. You don't have to pay for a full tutorial 2. The instructions are easy to understand 3. You don't have to go to a website to learn the whole thing
@@HiHello-rs1eyhmm they're pretty good too but I don't know I'm just gonna stick to this channel for now and i also realized that they have like 2 parts (theme 1, theme 2 and etc) but this channel post the full one (kinda)
Isn't it awesome and I see he has 300 popular full and free piano lesson and then 20 more than 60 as I'm looking through he must have almost a 1000 hours of video on here I wouldn't mind paying them five bucks a month to join his channel because this is even better than any apps that I own wow.
This what other tutorials should be leading by example here! 1. Explaining chords 2.Synthesia 3.Free(thank you so much) 4.Patient 5.Original no easy spinnof
I've been playing a cheesy spinoff that I always knew sounded off and the sad part is the president of the new england chamber choir swore it was legit. After reviewing the written material I realize it was not and learned it properly. This is proper aside from a few trills he would improv with the right hand but it is written as such (above) Excellent!
After 8 months of practicing this piece for 1 hour daily, I finally completed it today and I am super happy! Edit: To everyone saying that it's a very long span of time, yes it is. Ideally, it should've been 1-2 months, but I stop practising this piece once every other month lol so it took me way too long to actually finish the whole thing than I intended.
Can’t believe it! At last a wonderful tutorial by a wonderful teacher on a wonderful piece of romantic music. Holy smoke what more can I ask for. Much thanks. I’m so delighted and excited.
Day 1: First measure ends [5:55] Second measure ends [9:00] Day 3: Third measure ends [12:33] Day 4: Part 2 ~ [18:00] Day idk: Melodie 2 [24:26] Day 1000000: Third Part now ~ [27:00] Next Melody: [28:40] [29:45] [32:50] [34:15] [36:05]
Just finished the piece! Thanks a lot! I'm 15 and I rely on this sort of tutorial because i still haven't gotten piano classes, it's been 9 months since i started playing and i'm so proud of myself for finishing this piece, love from Brazil!
Oooi amigooo!!!
Such a great tutorial video, this is better than others because you don't just show us how to play, you tell us what's the reason of these chords and melodies, superb! Also, you show us the whole piece not like others teach only part 1. Thanks a lot for doing this!
Mr Lopez. I’d like to thank you for being the best ‘UTUBE’ Piano Professor. Thank you. Others may argue with me, but they are decidedly incorrect. I will consider you my Professor indefinitely. I finished Nocturne OP 9 No 1 with your instruction in half the time it took me learning the first 25% of the piece using other teachers.
OMG!! I'm 12 years old and I play the Piano! I love this Nocturne! it was really hard for me to play this melodie, but after you showd up it's easier to play for me!!! LOVE YOUR VIDS SO MUCH!!! #subscribed
The fact that you teach chord progressions and the theory behind the music (eg these chords to create tension) really help understand the piece even more than just learning the notes. Great video
To everyone Who has started to play piano… I have spent 2 months on this video and man you are a maestro! 🎹🎶😂 After my first year of piano lesson, (i started play in may 2021) now i am able to play op 9 n 2 at tempo (slow of course) thanks to you… The best things is what you told me about scales and chords.. that helps me in reading the music in this nocturne! Without you knowing of chords all this would have been impossible!! Thank you maestro 🎉❤️🇮🇹
@@PianoSecretsChannel yes, as a new subscriber and someone just starting to try and read sheet music, its nice to see and heat the chords and relationship. Thank you
thank you so much, i was terrified of even starting to try and learn the first chords but you helped me get through it and here i am 2 months later, able to play this masterpiece!
@@Jessi_hrndz It needs sustain pedal 100%. Just use it for a couple seconds and reset it to make sure the sound doesn't stack up too much. As for the pedal that reduces sound I like to use it towards the end when it gets calmer, it adds some volume to the piece.
I remember I spent a lot of time on this piece since it was the whole reason I started playing piano. I practiced at least an hour a day and sometimes I'd practice for 4-5 hours when I was really happy with my progression. However you should pick it up at your own pace, you'll quickly see progress as nothing really is highly technical in this piece. Good luck buddy!@@Dullification
Thank you so much for this video. This amazing tutorial has brought me so far. Learning this piece was truly motivational and inspiring. I have been learning this piece for 5 months now and I am almost done. I watch this video daily. Thank you 🙏
I cannot thank you enough for this, this tutorial (and the Clair de lune one) inspired me to play more piano. It's so well explained as well! Thank you so much ❤️
I can't thank you enough for all your lessons man... I always practiced piano by my own, trying to play some pieces by ear or just with synthesia videos. Now I'm getting the hang of finger placements and all, thanks to you. THANK YOU. (thank you thank you)
I started the piano at the age of 40. I been playing about 1 yr now. I started From zero, and still don’t know how to read music. After 3 months of hard work, I’m at the ending of this piece… I’m almost there… I never did anything I felt so proud of in my life and I’m 40 yrs old …. Thank you so much for this video, It was tremendous help
Im 18 years old and i decided to work for a week to support you man! I can not even begin to thank you how much you have helped me and evryone else here. ❤!
Wow… absolutely wow! You’re an incredible teacher and the fact that you go over the chords and explain the theory… YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Thanks for your hard work 😭🙏🏽🎉
thank you so much! these are by far the best piano tutorials on youtube. I don't particularly have trouble with notes but seeing you play it helps me get a feel for all the nuances in the piece and how chord structures are used to shape it. keep up the good work!
I'm currently learning this piece as my first piece .. 3 months in at the moment, at the first run towards the end ... can't wait to be able to play the whole piece soon... happy practicing everyone...
The second piece that i learn from you after Moonlight Sonata 1st Movement. I remember when i started to learn to play the piano a year ago at the age of 30 and listening to this song, i never believed that someday i would be able to play such a masterpiece like this, but i'm now. Thank you so so much, you're the best teacher on RU-vid, Daniel.
I've been learning piano for 6 years but I have never learned hard songs/pieces because I get lazy and bored after learning the first few bars. I don't want to be lazy anymore and I am going to use this tutorial to help me learn this piece. thank you so much for this!
I completed my first ever `piece` thanks to this Pianists detailed tutorial on *Rondo Alla Turqa* I started Piano on 10th February 2019 after many years of procrastination [no sheet knowledge EVER but I am reading a book on Music Language] and `finished` *Rondo Alla Turqa* yesterday after countless hours of ecstasy from frustration: I learned how to transmute negative disability into positive ability and potential elsewhere through this steep learning procedure: FYI I now sense my hands as though theyre made of magnetic morphing-bending rubber from above the wrists down: My fingers are now precise and oddly floppy and `sensory invisible` when playing: Its as though bouncing off and on to magnetic waves; to the extent I felt `strangeness` from it: Quite a bizarre transformation in me overall: WOW: So @PianoSecrets Thank You Very Much and also Thank You to all others involved in uploading and discussions of the same: If it aint worth sharing it aint valuable: On to this piece now I March:
I’m sure you hear this a lot, but I just performed this song for my recital because of you. You taught me to think of piano in a new way that is incredible to my learning
As a beginner, (3 months of playing piano) I was able to play this piece in 1 week. Your tutorials are amazing, I also learned canon in d with your tutorials. I don’t know why your channel isn’t the most famous one! You are really amazing, my teacher told me it would take me months to learn this and it took me one week! Thank you so much again
@@ralsei217 It's because he puts a lot of time in it, not the same like most people don't even practice an hour a day and then they complain,, piano is not easy to learn.
everyone is so thankful to this guy for making the best tutorials and so am i but people should be proud of themselves too because learning this isnt easy and takes a lot of their own effort. For people who dont have the skill this knowledge is useless.
I just want to say thank you. Really. I can play up to the ending and have been playing piano for only half a year. And in the next month I’m sure to have it all down. My instructor is amazed that I can play it and it’s all thanks to you.
I have just watched the first 5 minutes of this and I’ve never seen such a clear breakdown of what’s going on in a piece. I feel like I’ve learnt a ton about scales and inversions already. I’m just messing about on piano really and I thought I might be able to the basics of this under my fingers. But I didn’t think I would actually UNDERSTAND it too! Thank you so much.
Thank you very much sir, after approximately 1 month of studying and practicing it, today at 9:44 pm, Tuesday 9 July 2024, I have finished studying it, and just get used to it. Thank you thank you thank you very much for the lesson. God Bless U sir!!!
Still learning this and I'm almost done practicing the second part. Been practicing 1 hour/day. I'm totally new to piano so its kinda hard. But if you're planning to learn this song, My advice is to just have patience on the first part so it will be easier in later parts because it just keeps on repeating but with added spicy parts. Lol❤❤
I can't read notes so well but know chords... I can follow your teaching method through practice and a lot of patience. I have not yet completed this piece but I am determined to learn it no matter how long it takes. Thank you for explaining piano very well.
♥️♥️♥️♥️ Thank you very much. The first time (long ago) when I heard this song I cried. The song is extremely emotional. I always wanted to play but I am not a pianist so if I have to extract all the notes from the music sheets, it probably take my whole lifetime to accomplish 😅. You definitely help me make my dream to play this song come true. Now all I have to do is practice practice practice and practice! Thank you very so Teacher! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for putting this together. I'm about to re-learn this piece and I'm glad I watched your tutorial since it's full of insights. I love how you go straight to the point, demystifying the piece, with simple and clear explanations. Great job. Also, thanks for the tips on how to practice some of the more difficult passages. I have a piano degree from a conservatory of music and I was taught to practice in a similar way as you explained here, which it's a testament of your teaching qualities. Thanks again.
Your explanations of how the chords are formed (eg 2nd inversion) makes the lessons SOO much easier to follow than those who simply say the notes or chords to be played. You also make it really easy to understand the points of tension and thereby which parts to play expressively. Thanks for the great lesson!
I Love your videos You always explain precise, could You make tutorial to Chopin Mazurka, Op. 68 No. 3 or another mazurkas by Chopin it really would be grateful.
Hello there, Possibly someone already asked this, in that case please forgive me for my laziness. Could you explain how to use the pedal on this masterpiece? I don't mean when to correctly use it, but how to "correctly" use it. And I also do not mean to know, how it actually has to been played right or somewhat, because I know there is no such thing like playing it right or not as long as it is good. Especially when playing a chopin. (He himself once said, learning to handle with the pedal is one lifetime challenge) Well to get the point now, could you give some advice on how you prefer using it, and maybe how you can use it in a more harmonic than only rythmic way? In fact, just everything you can say about it. x) My sincerest thanks
Youre awesome man. Thank you for these. And the way you explain why he used the chords he did, really helps. I try to read the music and sometimes I am so confused by the notes. They're obviously beautiful but I cant see why right away. You really help with this.
At first i'm a beginner who can't play a piano, after i saw your lesson on youtube and a few weeks of practicing now i can play this beautiful piece of art. Thanks for your work sir, god bless you.
I keep returning to you tutorials time and time again and as my own skills develop and my understanding of theory gradually sinks in I find more and more insights ,tips, tricks and large golden nuggets of wisdom. I gain so much from your kindness ,patience and generosity and hard work. You are the Yoda of piano. A true master. Many ,many thanks for all that you do and share with us more mortals.
I usually never comment under ytb videos but I feel I have the obligation right now. That video helped me sooo much you have no idea, thank you for everything you are amazing!
@@nuridt1790 and for how long have you been playing the piano? For me well just a couple of months like 9 but I haven't been consistent,in case you're wondering yep I'm still struggling with it though I am already in the 29th bar
Ok now im getting motivated, i can play basic piano pieces and my I know basic techniques, this piece is far beyond my octave range, but if people like you that have no experience can play it then I think I will be able to play this piece with practice
Great video, so helpful. any time i wonder about a piece i look for your video first because you explain the chords and the movement and it makes it so much easier. many thanks.
Thank you so much. Hopefully everyone who’s trying to learn some classical pieces watches and subscribes. I learned a lot. You’re a great teacher. Thank you thank you
This guy is literally an angel, GOSH THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the tutorials and clear explanation, no one out there on RU-vid teaches better than you. You're a legend, we can't thank you enough 😭😭🙏🙏 DON'T SKIP THE ADS AND HELP THIS GUY
Thanks to your tutorial, I can finally play the full piece of this music with no piano experience before!! It took me only for around 35 days to complete the whole piece, and now I'm trying to polish my performance more and more. :)
Thank you for posting so good tutorials! You remind me of my old pianoteacher in your way of teaching. It took me 5 days of practising for an hour a day to finally play this. So thanks!
