Most concert pianists at this standard can do this, its just you are not aware of this, you don't live in a music conservatory for example so you're not exposed to this level of playing and ability, they are not your normal players you mainly see on RU-vid, which is full of players with only a fraction of talent compared to guys like this, this is a completely different league/world.

This piece is like someone who has gone through struggles, a story of despair, but just for a moment, raises his head to the world and finds something worth loving, and the way your heart races at 4:21 is almost identical to the way you feel when you meet that special someone, the person who makes you see the world in color for the first time

@nerdsunscripted624 2 года назад
@@charlesjd interesting. I’m learning this piece right now, not fully up to tempo yet but i don’t think this is THAT hard of a piece. I think Rousseau is a much better pianist than me. This piece is very impressive in its sound but everything lays nice so it’s surprisingly easy to play (relatively speaking, no beginner could play it, but my point is this piece is easier than it sounds. Everything lays really nice in the hands) Hungarian Rhapsody 2 is significantly harder than this piece, I’ve tried learning that and failed but I’ve worked this scherzo up from nothing to being able to do the whole piece (just not up to tempo, yet) in a matter of a month with practicing an hour a day

I remember slacking off in my piano class in school listening to this piece over and over. It was one of the first demo songs on the digital pianos we had in class. The perfect way to ignore the teacher for 10 minutes at a time and just be washed away by the genius of Chopin. Of course, that could be why I'm not a very good pianist, cause I spent all my time listening to established pianists and not to my teacher, lol.

and I also like how you bring up the left hand voicing at 4:18 with the f sharp anf g sharp change. not all pianists articulate that way. martha argerich plays right hand way louder.

OMG. I see a notification for my favourite Scherzo by my favourite interperter. I plan to learn this piece soon (have to finish Beethoven's Tempest and Chopin's op. 10 no. 9 first). Thank you so much! Your playing is of the highest quality.

@Joodong Yang I think you don't understand the functionality of a piano. Therefore I will explain it to you. You can press a note differently -soft and hard. Thus there will be a sound according to your touch. When you watch professional recordings it is common that they press 'false' notes but so light that you cant hear it. Check your facts.

@Joodong Yang omg this guy is literally under every comment. I will repeat again, its 6 notes out of the entire frickin piece, so even if that was true no one really gives a schist. Let the pianist live my guy.
