This piece can tell a lot about a player imo. Your performance reveals you as a seasoned veteran whose repertoire would put many a professor of piano to shame. Incredible playing. Also, you do you, but I’d go and change you ad settings to not have midroll ads. It kinda ruins the listening experience. RU-vid just changed it so all videos longer than 8 minutes, automatically have mid-roll ads placed on them unless specifically changed not to. Kinda annoying but I think your listeners would greatly appreciate hearing your performances uninterrupted.

Your playing literally brings me to tears. I’ve only been playing for a little over a year, but I’ve learned so much. I haven’t had many lessons, so I just reach myself songs. Some are a little complex, some are super simple. But it’s pianists like you who help me realize why I started, you help me remember my passion and love for it, you inspire me and give me hope. Thank you. My dream is play like you one day. Even if you don’t see this, I still hope my words somehow get carried out to you. Again, thank you for everything.

I'm learning this piece (almost finished) as well! It's a fun piece but takes quite some time to get right. I've technically finished learning the notes but I prefer to say that I haven't finished learning because it still sounds bad. To people who are impressed but his rate of upload, I'd say that he just has a massive repertoire, or he has sight reading skills equivalent to that if a professional, or a mix of both, to certain extents. @RU-vid Customer Support Not really. The ballade is difficult in other aspects. And the technical aspect... the Coda is as hard or harder then most of the etudes. A etude is about 1 technique - the ballade requires many + musicality and deep understanding.

@generalsnicky3219 4 года назад
bro, this is actually not difficult (or as difficult as you've imagined). Technique wise, you might have to spend a bit more time on the coda, but the general trouble is just refining it to (near) perfection. @giuseppeagresta1425 7 месяцев назад
@@bilbobaggins138there definitely are dynamics in that passage... You could perhaps say that it was flatter dynamics-wise than what it could've been playing it with less intensity overall but they clearly are there anyway

I have seen MANY performances on this ballade and this is by far my favorite one. Your interpretation on the coda is magnificent and I feel overjoy listening how well you use the rubatos on 8:02 - 8:21. Slowing a bit and accelerating, stressing some notes here and there. It is beautiful! I am finishing this ballade and I use your interpretation as my guideline. Thank you for sharing this video!

Imo 4 is by far the deepest and most complex one, then comes the second, which is basically a happy person experiencing a traumatic event which breaks the person (why it's ending in the beginning theme but in minor), then there's the first and last the third, just because of the dance / party like character, which lacks a bit of depth. My opinion :P

Not a bad interpretation however some strange voicing here and there, as lost in the faster/presto bars. Also the bass really needs to come out more in the presto coda- the treble is not the only main voice here as it's just a typical showy Chopin treble coda- the interest needs the bass notes to stand out, which is a very Chopin punctuation technique. Still enjoyed watching this.
