I share your passion for swapping the rice burner for this v8. I bought a new 1976 Courier in Jan of 77 after 2 years of the rice burner I swapped it for a Mercury Capri 2.8 v6 with the Capri manual trans. At the time I was 25 years old, I had the stamina and the tools to do the job. It is an exciting experience. I envy you for sure. I’m now 69 years old retired and I still feel the bug biting my ass when I look at your truck! It’s quite a challenge for sure.Good 👍 happy to subscribe
Good find! I had 2 of those back in '94 but no v8. Most had the Mazda 4 cylinders, some had the ford 2.3 that came in the Ponto's. And betting that's a C4 trans, C6 were for the big block. Badass.. I've been a gear head for 45 years. Many swaps but not in a Courier. About to do an LS into my S10. I'm near Denver. Have to see if you've done updates.
@@shakenphoenix That’s what I thought after watching the rest of the video. I just put a heavier coil spring in my 80 Courier to support the 302HO. It’s a fun ride, that’s for sure.
Hate it when they mess up a nice looking truck like this lowering it to the ground, sticking those ugly wheels and tires on it and cutting the roof down like this, what's the point of ruining it like this?
