As I prepare to start my chopper build I had to figure out where to start. I explain what I have done to prepare to start my chopper build, how I verified that the frame is designed for a 240 rear tire, how I figured out the stance, and was able to provide the needed measurements to get a custom springer fork ordered.

I like your shop set up. You must make sure rear and front wheels are centered! The rear wheel could be too wide. The front wheel is easy. Just use a string and stretch it from the front to the middle of the rear tire. Then the engine should be in the frame.

What a nice shop🙂♥️ I think it would be better to fix the tires first, then aligning the engine to make engine mounts

Thanks! Tires are old and just for mock up. I have the centerline marked on the frame and the engine mount are already done.

The rear wheel. With tire MUST be centered in the frame! Tie a string on the headtock and run it back over the center of the tire. The string must run down the top tube and over the rear wheel. !
