Seasoning the obese is a parody of this song by Stormtroopers of Death. Can’t recommend them enough. Several members of Anthrax were involved as well and both bands are crucial thrash experiences imo.

Seasons in the Abyss was my first Chopping with Slayer. It was in the late 90', when at a time Metal music was still all new for me. So my suggestions will be out of the box because they are from that era where they change & adapt there sound; but with another one who influenced many other bands. From Diabolus In Musica (1998) - In The Name Of God (my very first purchase of a metal album) From God Hates Us All (2001) - Bloodline (Bloody Official Music Video)

Their polka overtone and beat is a staple of European and Latin cultures musical breastfeeding, the familiar 1 2. Lombardos timing makes you march. King and Heineman trading leadman guitar time and time again with perfection. 30 year fan, idk who is lead, i dont care. Arayas lyrics and voice remind me constantly of what not to forget about. Any song they got, theyre warning you, that evil not only exist in the past, but it is alive now, deep in all our hearts. And that atrocity is among the few human acts that is consistently represented well twice every 100 years going back to the beginning. Maybe not the song about necrophobia, but most of em were warnings lol. "War Ensemble", live from Yankee Stadium, or recorded, should be reviewed. Its the song you hope only your side can hear. The nerve it strikes makes reasonable men into one track minded robots for victory.

In the 80's and 90's, Metal was in its prime for sure. Still cant beat it. Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica(meh), Testament, Pantera, Sepultura, Carcass, Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend, Ministry, In flames, Nuclear Assault, Nailbomb, Napalm Death, White Zombie, Rob Zombie and Static-X... And Kreator were ok too.

I have to recommend Repentless from Slayer I don't want to spoil it for you but I can say with much confidence that you'll be pleasantly surprised 🤘

Not sure if anyone already mentioned that Slayer actually recorded this in Cairo/Giza. The scenes inside the pyramid are real but the Egyptian government would not let them allow artificial lighting into the pyramid chambers. The video/production team had to develop an array of mirrors that reflected natural sunlight into the pyramid chambers so they could produce this video.

Anthrax! There are two era's of anthrax the first is with lead singer Joey Belladonna it is fantastic 80s metal. After they got a new singer John Bush and it is fantastic 90s metal. You can't go wrong with either version of the band. I definitely would recommend listening to Panic, Madhouse, I Am the Law, Among the Living, Caught In a Mosh, Belly of the Beast, and starting up a Posse. from the Joey era. From the John Bush years, I would recommend Only, hi Pro Glow, American Pompeii, riding shotgun Bare, catharsis, Inside Out, killing box, and what doesn't Die

When you say the drums sound “90s” i think what you mean is “good”. 😂 i find most bands drummers these days sound the same, the drums just sound over processed, pretty much you cant tell the difference between a drum machine and a modern metal drummer. If you look into this drummer you’ll see that many metal drummers regard him as royalty, top player. As a guitarist i almost never focus on drummers, but this guy is the Stewart Copeland of metal and draws you in.
