👍. Hey bucking just wanted to say thanks for the teaching of me on how to get good at sharpen chains hand file free hand..other than around the home stuff nothing major but a guy that runs tree service let me file couple of a full house chains and a skip tooth..just got the feedback today 😀 the guy said it was falling through the wood cuts better than his new stihl chains..Everything I done was from what you taught me the details that made a huge difference thanks..looks like I'll be filing a whole lot more to come..everything I done to the chain was your doings the sharpest chain the guy has used his words...13/64 chain getting file with 7/32 file is 👍.
Don’t change the way you are. I enjoy the commentary, friends, yada yada. That’s the only reason why I watch. You’re different and entertaining. Keep up the good work. I don’t know and or really care that much about tree falling but I enjoy you.
Buckin, the comments are all spot on!!! You are a joy to watch, a wealth of knowledge that you continually share with us and just a wonderful way to spend 20 minutes or so. You have thought me so much. Keep it up and I’ll keep watching. ❤️
👍🇬🇧very moving speech from Brian Peckford to the masses in Canada. The last living survivor of Canada’s rights and freedom charter.Saw it on the Rubin report.Very moving !
Watching Buckin chop a tree with an axe, is mesmerizing, kind of like watching a kitten discover a roll of tp to play with!🤣😂🤣😂! Keep up the good work my friend!
That handle looks amazing on the Helko. I think I'll buy a Tasmanian pattern Helko soon. Thank you for all the continuous lessons you give us every video.
Ole Billy's got flawless form and technique when felling a tree with an axe. That front leg stays rigid but athletic,....throughout the backswing,...... and before the head stops ......he is driving those knees and hios toward that tree creating effortless bigtime power. Extremely efficient. Deadly friends.
Great chopping demo Buckin. And the reminder to look up. That little tap on the backside was crazy. Love that axe she chops no doubt. Love ya brother thank you. 🌲❤🌲👊🪓
It might be a good thing to mention, in case young ones or those learning are watching, that it's a good thing to take a break if you're winded so you don't lose your accuracy or a foot! Great video, Buckin'! Gotta love them axes!
Watching you swing axes like you are doing lately is making me happy for you, I know what it does for the body and mind, and I'm just content to know you are feeling it again :)
great video buckin. a must tell this, this true story. my fathers fathers father was blind in old age. he did still cutting down trees with axe. he did never miss. if only somebody take him to the tree. someway he could feel how he did cutting the tree down.

Nice work man! Not too many people even know how to swing an axe correctly. I would like to get an axe from you maybe a few. I will actually use them too lol. Would like a thick handle hatchet as well for kindling and small wood for stove. I have been a tree man and climber for over 30 years. Like your work and videos brother. Joe Newman
A quality video Buckin !! I was getting out of breath just watching you swing that axe 🪓 You can move like a rabbit for a big man !! Lol 😂 When you marked that back cut, the tree was falling and you were outta there !! 😂 Well Done 👍🏻
You think all the people that live near him are just like oh that's buckin out there. 11:56 Imagine driving past that face lol. I wonder if the people are like, we think he lives in the trees but no body know. Like a legend, buckin is like the big food of Canada. Everyone goes home and tells a story of seeing him in the bush cutting down a tree but know ones believes them
Yeah, good video. That shows why once you make your front cut you should NEVER walk on the front side of the tree. Just one little hit and that baby went. A strong gust of wind coulda took that over too!!!
Great work Buckin, and beautiful axe. I want one. Can you send one just like that to Scotland? But not for a week or two. I wouldn't want to deprive Canadians of their axes until Trudeau is removed from power!
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith when I was a young man cutting firewood with my uncle I bought my very first chainsaw, it was big old David Bradley. I'm not sure who built them for Sears Roebuck, I bought it used. My uncle had never worked with a chainsaw, always a crosscut or bow saw and axe. He said to me, "if I'd had one of those when I was your age I'd be a rich man today", very rewarding.
I tried cutting down an old oak dead standing once with an axe when camping but instead of it being rotten it was well seasoned 🤣, it was like hitting concrete and took far too long. Great vid 👍
Billy iv been watching for a while now brudda I told you a while ago my story I’m 46 now and iv come back to tree work iv just got my climbing and rigging certificate and I’m currently saving for a real decent power saw I Carnt wait iv just spent a lot on a harness I still need tree spicks and of course that big power saw I don’t know witch yet I was thinking maybe looking at holzforma wot do you think bud any input would be greatly appreciated friend thanks billy keep that unique content coming ow Carnt wait for the black smith shop vids.. nick from the wild hills of north wales 🏴 u.k.
Bucky, the break point is too far back on the face to cut hardwood, that one appears to be set up for pine. Nice axe though and beautiful handle, what kind of wood is that?
Oh Billy Ray now you got to do a video where you go back with your truck and the ax or handsaw and take the wood that you cut down bigger pieces till you get home to use your chainsaw any tree I cut down with an ax it's mine and it's going to go with me friend
Where can one get an axe handle like that? I've been googling for a while and haven't found any with those kind of curves or palm swells... Cant even find a source for hickory lumber big enough to carve my own.
Hey buckin, Amy update on the jk boots? Also I was wondering where u get ur axes I want a good axe that isn’t from a Home Depot or something. You’re the goat
Hello there Buckin. Man I really enjoy watching you swing an axe, looks like you've done it before. Lol. Can you please tell me how many axes you have hanging and leaned up in your bunker. I also enjoy watching you put together and brand your axes. Thanks for putting out the axe videos and I'd love to see you do more. Good day my friend. Watch out for the deadfall. That is a brutal axe, after all that chopping and it's holding that edge and continues to just penetrate deep into that wood, what kind(brand) axe is that and what's a good brand chopping axe I can get.
Yeah have more vids like this one . I own 7 great felling axes but i cant even chop burned wood , you need a license to cut anything and that license is only limited for like a month or so every once a year . So the rest of the year i just watch other guys chop on youtube . . . SO CHOP BUCKIN CHOP !!!!!!!!
Buckin just a little off topic here but I was wondering how your your liking your boots made in Spokane? I have a pair of Whites Smoke Jumpers and really like them, also made in Spokane.
Hey, Buckin do you have a video using that big blade axe at 0:00 on the left? Great video, I love splitting videos but chopping videos are really good too. Btw that chopping axe is a beast!
