This video tutorial demonstrates a couple ways to use the powerful new Chord Track feature in Logic Pro for iPad 2.0. The vast majority of non-percussion Apple loops (and there are thousands) contain chord information, so it's like having an entire library of chord progressions at your fingertips. Just pick one and use the Session Players to add keys, bass and drums, and you've got a full song in minutes. You can also extract the chords and use them in a MIDI track, then use a MIDI FX like the Arpeggiator to make things even more interesting, and finally, you can easily use the transpose option to make a key change and keep your song interesting.
This tutorial just touches on a couple of techniques that are quick and easy, but there's an entirely new dimension of possibilities for using the Chord Track and Session Player features. Feel free to share your own ideas in the comments.
