Remembrance Sunday 2012 saw the Chorley War Memorial, recently upgraded by Chorley Remembers, used as the setting for the civic Act of Remembrance for the first time since improvements were completed. A crowd of over 1000 people attended to pay their respects to the men 737 from Chorley who have paid the ultimate sacrifice over the years, and who are now remembered permanently on the town's war memorial.
Following the service in Astley Park, a short ceremony was held at the Chorley Pals Memorial.
Chorley Remembers Secretary Steve Williams reports.
