I am a musician and a worship leader. Many might disagree but I don’t believe that there should be a Christian Music Industry at all. I see it all as idolatry. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with liking certain songs, but we tend to put these bands and performers on a pedestal that only Jesus should be on! And our talents should be used to serve one another and worship the name of Jesus. Not to obtain fame and riches. We should not be seeking after vain glory, and really it’s just an imitation of the world! Even as a worship leader when people come up and tell me how great of a musician I am, I always point them to the one who gives the talents, because what am I? Nothing without Jesus! It’s his glory, not mine. And it’s his talent which is not given to me for my personal glorification or personal gain, but for his glory, and the edification of the congregation!
Yes, and why are worship leaders a paid salaried job in a church? The church is not the equivalent of Old Testament levitical worship . .Pastors also think they are the equivalent of the OT priest . When we are all priests unto God.

I quit watching the chosen last summer when they had pride flags on set. Affirming someone on their sin is the most hateful thing you could do to them. I'm so grateful to every Christian man and woman who tried to reach the true Gospel to me when I was in my sin (homosexuality, fornication, witchcraft etc) I'm so grateful for every single one of them, even though at that time I wasn't ready to listen. I still struggle with sexual sin as a Christian. I think living in it and struggling are two different things. No Christ follower is close to perfect, we all sin in some way, but we have to be willing that God changes us and convicts us no matter the sin.

I am so glad the Lord saved you from that sin. My sins are pride, selfishness, vanity and most of all my untamed tongue. I am engaged in the battle every single day tho. I know we are all in a battle with sin until we are gone into our eternal destination, but we cannot tell ourselves that our sin is OK or minimize it. I pray we will go into our eternal destination as a child, in humility, in brokenness and in awe of the Holiness and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I used to go to the same church as Lauren Daigle before she left to pursue her singing career. She was on the worship team for some time and I know the doctrine that is preached there, and I can say that homosexuality is talked about and they do preach against it as sin. So for her to say what she said in that interview, seems to be a folding under the pressure of the world and compromising. Sad thing to see.

My wife and I have always been huge fans of Jars of Clay. We've met with them several times over the years and have actually become friends with Charlie (the keyboardist). Dan does not speak for the band, he speaks for himself. I believe he has struggled in his faith over the last 10 years and while not abandoned it, has been misled by the media and worldviews as many have. We need to pray for him. In their music, there is nothing anti-Christ, anti-God, etc. I just wanted to say that as I feel like when a member of band says something, it is sometimes equated to the band saying it and that is just not the case here. I also wanted to add that Jars of Clay haven't toured in many, many years, nor have the released an album since 2013. It seems the band went on hiatus ultimately around the time Dan started his more vocal statements. He has since divorced his wife (who is a devout Christian) as well, so he is obviously struggling and needs our prayers.

I was fired from a residential treatment company in Calif for reporting a male staff member who was necking with a 15 year old boy in the office I walked into. They grilled me over and over and accused me of homophobia. I sued them for wrongful termination and they settled a small sum out of court. I found out later the company was fairly biased and run by gay men who were also into wicca. I was so traumatized for doing the right thing I had to gave therapy.

I'm the music director at Myrtle Creek First Baptist Church. For the past 13 years the Lord has whittled down my catalog of music. He has sifted out everything ungodly. Basically I listen to two kinds of music Gospel hymns and classical. That's it.
The Lord is doing this in the church. He is revealing what is sacred and what is NOT. You are correct. As one also who sings, led music, preached…have been saying this for years. Secular music companies control the music. And a great majority of the so-called churches masquerade as Christian, while promoting an appeal to worldly appetites. We must praise the Lord with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs…making melody in our hearts to the Lord.
One group of people that left the lifestyle to follow Jesus is The changed movement. There’s lots of good testimonies. I try to refer people to it that are having that struggle as I can’t relate but there are people who can and that will encourage them to keep their focus on Jesus.

I got that some pushback from a family member yesterday. It’s all about the kind loving Jesus. He is a God of love, but also a God of justice. You must preach both, or you have created a God of your own liking. These verses in Isaiah are actually when Jesus returns They should terrify non believers and make believers want to share the gospel to save people from the wrath of God. My friend’s daughter and son in law were church planters where he pastored the church. The church closed and now because of church hurts, they have deconstructed their faith. Part of that deconstruction was affirming lgbtq and apologizing to that community and how they were treated in the church. Anytime someone asks if homosexuality is a sin, my answer is always…all sexual immorality is sin. The only sexual relations God blesses and allows and doesn’t call sin is between a man and woman in a biblical marriage, period. Anything else, promiscuity, self fulfilling gratification, adultery and affairs, homosexuality, anything and everything outside a biblical marriage blessed by God is sin. All of it. Nobody is exempt from the struggle of temptation in this area. Does that mean some or many of us will be alone for life, not experience sexual gratification for the rest of our lives? Yes, yes it does. But that’s why God says, I will be with you and I am enough. And this is absolutely true. God is so amazing, so incredible, so present and interactive, so full of surprises and gifts and supernatural adventures and experiences….nothing you give up from this world can compare with the amazing reality of God and how we can experience Him through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. There’s always a struggle to give up old habits and gain new ones. There’s an adjustment period no doubt. But God really turns up the dial of His power to help you through it. And you won’t look back. God is an expert motivator and you will be running toward heaven in absolute glee when you accomplish purity and holiness in your life. It’s better then anything you give up. Anything. This has been my experience having obeyed God in my life. And this is just in this life, on this earth. We haven’t even brought up saving you from hell and granting you eternal life in heaven!

This past Saturday there was an event that was supposed to happen and it got shut down by a good storm . The location of the event from what I heard was the only place they got hit with more then wind and rain. They got slammed with hail and all their stuff was destroyed, so they couldn't resume for the weekend. It rained heavy and steady for 32 mins. I pray that those who attended get the memo to repent.
My husband and I had the immediate reaction when it ripped through the stadium we were at if a tornado was in the area. The wind was that strong and yet where we were there wasn't a speck of hail and nothing got wreaked on our end. God is merciful and I'm thankful that no one got hurt and it was just their stuff to my knowledge along with their pride I'm sure.

I used to listen to all types of music, but mostly rock n roll, mainly 90s..what i ended up realizing is what i listen to is what starts to manifest being my life. When i was in a period of rap and r&b i was getting into lustful relationships and fornicating and getting into selling and using drugs and fighting. When i was listening to "grunge" i became depressed and self loathing and eventually a heroin junkie with a deep darkness inside i couldn't shake and listenedto more of that music thinkingits helping me "get through it" when it was whats causing it. I didn't realize it until after it all happened and is why i made tne decision to let secular music go. As a musician of many instruments and vocalist, that was a hard pill to swallow. It all makes sense though, because satan was the cheif musician in heaven, so it makes sense how he uses music now to trap us with "catchy" beats to hide the true meaning of the lyrics. Music effects us more than we know. Let this comment be an eye opener for you, look to your past and see how the music you have listened to actually dictated how your life plays out. Oh.. and careful of Movies and shows to...Hollywood is also run by luciferians and is part of the stage of the world
You are definitely on to something here. So true. My “coming of age period was the mid 80s to 90s and something about music from that time causes a dark feeling in me. 70s music is what I listened to during my childhood and it is my happy music. The lyrics may not be exactly pure, but I didn’t interpret it that way during that innocent time. 80s music was great but I have learned I must let it go.

Have an affect but usually it just propels what u want too do, I can listen to Micheal Jackson and I don't feel like climbing a tree, I don't listen to Christian songs and think i have more faith, but I respect if you are a better person now without any of that,

I remember going to a church several years ago at someone's invitation (Mennonite). I arrived a bit early, and some music was playing over the sound system. It sounded a bit "off" to me; I couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong, but I didn't like it. The sound guy asked me if the music bothered me, and I said it did. I asked what it was and he said "It's Jars of Clay!" a bit defensively. Another time, when I was just discovering the "Jesus Music" from the 1970's and 80's (a lot of it is great!) I started to listen to Don Francisco. The songs sounded good, but something bothered me. I didn't know why a warning was going off in my spirit, so I googled Don Francisco, and it turns out he is now a universalist, and his wife Wendy pushes universalism and the sodomite agenda. Always listen to that still small voice of the Holy Spirit and compare anything you read or listen to to the scriptures.
Have never watched "The Chosen" and never will. The Gospel has been so watered down and it's so hard to find Churches in my area that aren't promoting this tolerance of everybody and their lifestyle. I see Pastors of Churches actually marching in the Pride parades. Thank you for being the truth tellers and exposing the lies of Satan. To God be the Glory!! Bless you and this ministry.
Si glad to find this. So tired of attending church and the issues of the day never being discussed. How do we live out our daily lives? What we watch. What we support. Are we guilty of the sin of pornography, gluttony, drunkenness, drugs. The music we listen to is a key issue and tv shows as well. Knew Chosen was blasphemy from start. Where are the pastors? They are to be leading and protecting their flocks. 😢
None of these so called Christian bands are on my playlist. I listen to Christ Our Life, some of Joshua Aaron, and a few Messianic worship bands. I do not listen to contemporary so called american christian pop music. It’s unbiblical. No film production company can make a film that portrays Jesus biblically. It’s impossible because they are of the world. Truth comes from God’s Word Only, not man’s imagination. Read Romans all chapters, but what is applicable to this video is Romans 1 -3. I listen only to Hebrew praise. I’m a messianic Jew and I’m glad to see Joshua Aaron. I have tons of people you can listen to that are God fearing Messianic’s. Let me know if you want me to list some amazing artists to open up your praise list. I am super super picky and listen to ZERO mainstream music, ZERO gospel/Christian music, have no tv etc etc. I research all people before I listen to any Hebrew praise. You hit the right industry with this one. Wolfs in sheeps clothing. Rock n roll inside churches is still undeceiferable for 98% people attending today. Even in very concervative places. By concervative I mean preserving bible teaching. Even in good churches, people either nurther a passion for these outside of Sunday Cults (Adoration) or settle for worship nights where they give free reins to those deceiving things and maneurisms altogether. Being fooled by this stuff for years I have come to one way of tracing an apparently untraceable line with mostly 2 questions among many. 1) Is the song addressed directly to God, and if not is it bible verse or exhortation in the walk without detour and personnal storytelling? - if not, it's not worth being a song nor signing it in the first place. We were made to sing to worship God and exhort one another, period. This is biblical. The thought that every subject matter can be athletically put into a song is unbiblical. And 2) Is it causing me to have an attitude or a behaviour that is not compatible with the words I sing, or the reverence I owe to God. This one's about the music in itself which is a language, and a language that must be perfectly in line with the attitude in thoughts and in words toward God. The rest is strange fire from the outside world that doesn't know God.

Yea, I couldn't watch the Chosen at all. I really didn't even get the wave of support many supposed Christians were giving. The Lord's discernment worked within men.
I have felt uneasy with some of what is considered worship music today. The Babylon Bee had a satirical article showing an unnamed pastor wearing a $2000 pink sweater on Easter. Google quickly informed me that it was Steven Furtick of Elevation Church and Elevation Worship. There are volumes online questioning Furtick’s theology and his ethics. It seems like many worship songs are more focused on the individual than the Lord. I’m not sure who to trust when it comes to worship music, Christian books and Christian teaching. I pray for discernment when I am reading, watching or listening.
In having a brother who died of Aids, seeing Christians legitimize the life style is actually leading them to an early grave. This year on average the lifespan a gay male is around 12 -14 years less then the average male. Its not about judging them, its about loving them OUT of the lifestyle not making them comfortable about it.
I find a lot of Contemporary Christian Music songs have unbiblical lyrics. I have heard some of them implying that water baptism makes you saved or holy, usually said in the quick chorus.
God does love them, but it also says he disciplins those he loves. He wishes for no one to perish. God loves even those who will go to hell. God's love does not mean there are no consequences.
