Forgot if it’s union laws or state laws, but they require supervision from a legal guardian, can only work for a certain amount of hours per week, and their acting must not interfere with their education. And those are just some of the laws that I can list off out my head.

Jay Casillas It probably is cheaper than most shows because it follows the 70s animation logic, which is characters we actually part of the background. This is noticeably when's character moves. However, the quality of the show more than makes up for this, plus it was a stylistic choice.

It wasn't hated, it was loved even at the time it was shown, but the stupid Cartoon Network management preferred a bunch of cheap live action programs over Chowder, Flapjack, and a lot of legendary cartoons between 2008 and 2010.

Creative, yes, but I never really enjoyed the setting, and it had its fair share of dumb humor between the creative stuff. Not to mention it was competing with a lot of better cartoons like Phineas and Ferb and Spongebob, and Chowder still felt like a step down compared to previous Cartoon Network shows like Kids Next Door and Teen Titans. Chowder is a show I only learned to appreciate as an adult. I remember thinking the art style was ugly, and while I still kinda agree, I care a lot less about that now.
