My Moma sang that song to us 4 kids, her grandkids and even her great grandkids. We had it played that at her funeral for her. Not a dry eye in the place! I miss her sooo much!!!

He wrote both songs for her and the emotional connection between them is really noticeable. He’s a great songwriter and well worth delving into.
That was a lot of music in just a simple melody. If you can make a 4 sentence song touch your heart, that’s talent. Also, I LOVE to see siblings, couples, people who are close perform together. It just magnifies the love. It bounces off of all of them and into the audience in a way it wouldn’t if some kind of love up there wasn’t real.
Have you ever seen the movie "Corrina, Corinna" with Whoopi Goldberg & Ray Liotta? The little girl in it sings "You Are My Sunshine" in such a sweet way. It's such a touching, beautiful love story.
