I mean... yeah? They obviously have to figure out how to play together and it may be they just need a new coach and/or more time playing together or it may be that it's just not a good fit, but yes you would expect that a team with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, Reggie Jackson, Zubac, Shamet, Green and whoever else would still be at bare minimum a playoff team and in all likelihood could be a contender, no? Don't pretend Trez was the key to this team's success, I like him plenty but he's their #4-5 scoring option and a liability defensively, in fact if they get an actual rim protector that could easily be the thing that brings it all together.

Amidst all the sports talk (and it was really fun to hear all the banter) it was Nick's comment about Broussard that reminded me why I love this show so much. When Nick said he'd want Broussard to raise his kids if he weren't around, he was making a point about how even great men could have a bad professional moment, but you could sense the truth of what he was saying. Somehow in the middle of a sport talk show, Nick, as he so often does, showed his heart for everyone to see. Broussard and Nick are like two brothers, competitive and combative on the surface, but deeply connected at the core of their soul. When these two are on the show, it shines. I love watching them.

MJ had moments like this also that everyone likes to forget in 89 ECF up 2-1 vs pistons then lost 3 straight to lose in 6 and he played bad the next 3 games and was outplayed by Isaiah

MJ lost to an all time great team, full of HOFs who won two championships. The Nuggets weren't anywhere near that level in 2020. No excuses

Chris Broussard is still one of my favorite analysts but him and the media were all wrong so I can’t crucify him to hard because mostly everyone said Clippers would win it all. But you have to love an upset !!!

Kudos to Denver for an incredible performance, but this series was all about the Clippers epic fail. They are the worst kind of team, loads of talent and no heart. I can't fault Broussard for picking the Clippers. Who could have guessed they would squander all that talent and lose a series they led 3-1. Only our Nick!

@@WillyPDX94 Yeah I agree with you. Once I seen they lost Game 6 I said them boys will be demoralized and play with no heart game 7 and they didn't. People saying the Lakers are going to sweep Denver I am thinking a 6 game series. The nuggets are for real lol.

I'd have to disagree with Broussard on this... This season was definitely championship or bust... you don't give up that many picks and spend that much in free agency if you ain't tryna win the chip immediately. Clippers are DEEP, and they have enough talent to win a title. They played themselves not playing their starting 5 regularly enough during the season. Also, as much as Denver showed grit and consistency, let's not pretend like the Clippers didn't help them win by blowing leads and under-performing in the second half of the last 3 games they lost. Yeah, they're a tough team... but these Nuggets couldn't even defeat the Blazers last season. The same Blazers that couldn't get passed the Lakers with a healthy squad this year. The Lakers are most definitely gonna handle their business against the Nuggets.

If the Lakers lost this year, the standard of championship or bust would apply to them. Clippers underachieved, choked, and certainly this year for them was also championship or bust. Even more satisfying it's 17-0 now.

I never realized how much stress was on the coaches in the nba. In my head , compared to Football coaching, being an nba coach is way easier but also I never played on a basket ball team so idk.
