he was an average qb when healthy. he didn't improve from his rookie season. even if you give him a pass for last season being injured, it didn't really seem like he was projecting towards being an elite quarterback. and even if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he could be an above average qb, the browns saw and opportunity to get a top 5 qb and took it. he needs to just find a new team and work on his game.

As a browns fan who actually watched every single baker mayfield game. This idea that Baker won a playoff game and he won 11 games and turns the browns around is false. He was a piece but we were a running team and in that playoff game our defense forces like 4 TO and we were running the ball at them it wasn’t like baker carried us on his back. I appreciate his contributions but he did not Turn browns around

Baker had a bunch of things go wrong in Cleveland... he did have several coaches and coordinators..coordinator... maybe consistently will help him tremendously

All that Rob said is that Baker is entitled to feel the way he does. I agree with that. Chris is basically saying that this is business and Baker's production was the main problem, hence why they got Deshaun. Two things can be right at the same time. Yes, Baker did improve Cleveland to a certain point and he was injured but he is not an elite QB and the browns saw an opportunity. Baker is right to feel the way he does but he needs to acknowledge that his production was subpar to average at best..which could be seen as a reason why the coaching staff was in high turnover. But the argument could be made in the reverse. Like the Browns and Baker, both sides need to come to terms that there was mismanagement and poor production, Rob and Chris need to both acknowledge those factors as well.

In most professions when you lose your job you don't make public complaints so that every other potential employer can see how much of a PITA you are. You put your head down, put the work in and try to land that next job. You never trash the previous employer, especially when they did nothing wrong. He really should stop what he's doing and be a professional about this. He's not that good and the only teams that will take him are the ones that can't find someone better, not because they want Baker Mayfield.
