Colin is absolutely right. The Faried pick up was a Great move for the Rockets! It fixed the Rockets 2 biggest deficiencies, made them better than last year and Are the Biggest Threat to the GSW!
Yes, Faried was a great pick up...No, it does not make us better than we were last year. I'd still definitely rather have Ariza, Lou, and Mbah Moute back on the team over Faried.
Lazy Blazer id like to have ariza back but not luc mbah, luc barely played in the playoffs so I don’t really mind losing him. Im really Excited to see how our team goes now that we’re fully healthy again. Mostly our whole team that actually plays at least try’s on defense and is decent at the very least, even harden is a pretty solid defender now
Lazy Blazer nah bro I loved our squad last year but Faried is way better than Ariza and he’s shooting like 45% or something from three aswell as getting like 9 double doubles in 14 games? I’ll take faried any day over an aging Ariza and bob moute
I mean the Rockets haven’t earned any “love” since they started playing. Harden shouldn’t be forced to drop 30+ points a game, and to be fair the Rockets almost choked the lead against Golden State🤷🏾♂️
@@byVepres No, It was the GSW who CHOKED!!! They had a Full Healthy Team of AllStars, and they couldn't beat a Team missing their MAIN GUN, James Harden! If you Really Want to be Fair!!!
@@byVepres Are you serious? It was the Rockets FIRST GAME with a full roster....my bad that was the next game... This game they won without their star player. Yeah, 1 Allstar on 5... You're not a hater you're a a joke.
Bottom line, Rockets are the only team that has put pressure on GSW in playoffs. And a lot of pressure at that. They are definitely their biggest threat, and I actually prefer this year's roster to last years. Faried, Rivers, and shump definitely make up for the loss of ariza and luc plus some
@@stormyredhawk2812 Nene has a very consistent long mid-range shot. And Faried has a 3 point game, it's just never been a shot he's been encourages to take on his past teams because of his role. So yeah, if you know the players, those are 2 things you can put faith in.
J.A. Quilo Who else has a chance in the playoffs. Just compare the negatives/positives of both teams w/ past experience and take away the hype. I’m not a fan of the Celtics but they are the obvious choice
The past means nothing when a team is radically different from the year before. When MIA signed Lebron snd Bosh it would be stupid to say "why are people picking them to do well, they only won 40 games last year"
Guess how many Toronto games did he watch? I bet ZERO, Gasol, OG, Powell, Lin and VV are all solid players. I bet he didn't even know who Pascal Siakam is.
warriors gave a better starting five than the rockets but the rockets bench may get them through...I like rivers faried house green shump nene over iggy shaun looney jerebko cook bell ...I cant be the only one...
I’m not a rockets fan but I’ve been saying this since Cp3 went to the rockets in the 2017 summer. Put two of the smartest players to ever play the game and that’s and instant contender. GsW still has an advantage because they have a guy who has no weaknes on either side of the court. But if KD for whatever reason gets injured that squad will not get past a healthy rockets team
I can see multiple angles. First, the rockets were so close and they’ve had them before. Oklahoma City feels very close, and they have the possible mvp on their team. They are much more deep than last year, and are playing well together. The only other two teams that I see having any chance against golden state are the nuggets and the lakers. The nuggets are the two seed in the west for a reason, and they have multiple threats who all play team ball. And call me crazy, but the lakers have a chance just because they have lebron James, but I believe there would have to be an injury to steph, KD, or klay for them to have a sizable chance.
the Lakers got to make the playoffs first bro...and even if they make .. I don't think there will be enough energy left with them after going to the 23 games stretch which is tougher and lot of road games which LeBron doesn't like particularly at this age.
BHARADWAJ SUBRAMANIAM yeah but like I said if they are an 8 seed and God forbid an injury happens, then I see it. Plus, you have to remember that if they put it together and make the playoffs, then they will have had to mesh better to some degree which will carry over:
Finally, the nba goat Broussard calling out the blaming king lebron about time the tea reporters start stating the fact like Chris. He is part of the losing streak and nonexistent defense.
I would love to see in the West: Warriors vs Kings Nuggets vs Lakers Thunder vs Jazz Trail Blazers vs Rockets East: Bucks vs Hornets Raptors vs Pistons Pacers vs Nets Celtics vs 6ers
Maybe people want to give small market teams the appreciation they deserve a great year for teams like Denver, Charlotte Milwaukee, Indiana and even Portland is getting it. We are sick of lakers, knicks, Rockets, warriors
wow Celtics have the toughest road if the current standings remain. They play Philly 1st round, Bucks 2nd round and Toronto ECF (assuming Bucks and Toronto win their respective brackets)
Chris says the bucks are dangerous despite their last year playoff performance... but when comes to okc he takes all the previous track record to judge.. Even the okc are a different team. And I think nuggets should get more credit for being the second seed... they are not mentioned as a threat despite being the second seed in the west and has beaten gsw.
'all these guys won championships on lebron's expense' C.B. best thing ever said on sports news these past few years. (Rondo 2008, Tyson Chandler 2012, McGee 2017, 2018)
Rocket are deep this year. Clint, cp3, harden, Kenneth, tucker. Bench: rivers, Gordon , green, shumpert. Their bench is deeper than the gsw and their starting 5 has enough firepower to go up against gsw. If their defense improves they can beat gsw like they nearly did last playoffs.
Lbj is poison. Sucks for the young developing players that need good experience, supportive environment, and some coaching. All they get is a garbage teammate blaming everybody else in the public and media.
Still calling Toronto the baby dinosaurs..not that same team, just like he keep bringing up the bucks not being able to win a road game last playoffs...again,not the same team!!!
ant LiveYaBish it’s funny because Boston couldn’t win a road playoff game last year except the one philly choked. Just think about that for a second the team Colin brags about only won a road playoff game last year because the other team collapsed.
Anyone else want some team like the Pacers or Nets to go to the Finals and shut up all this talk about Boston? I don't think this will actually happen, but man am I tired of the Celtics
The only thing rockets have going for them is that they switch everything on defense making ball movement useless. All Kerr needs to do is let Curry create the offense himself and rockets have no chance
Celtics will probably go down close to the bucks. I know Collin liked to point out giannis less than amazing playoff record but he tends to ommiy the fact that he gets better and more complete every year. He also misses how good Middleton has become this season. Celtics are beasts tho
OKC didn’t lose because of Westbrook 😂😭 they lost those 2 games because PG and Schroeder played bad so he took more shots. He shot at least 50% in all 3 of those games.
The only reason Westbrook shot 30 times is because Paul was having an off night. George had played 50 minutes in a 2 OT game and they were playing back to back. By the way, in the 3 40 PT games Westbrook shot 60-33-100 against Pelicans, 51-42-70 against Utah and 50-46-75 against the Kings. SMH, the hate on Westbrook is so real. And why does 1 regular season win against Warriors make Houston contenders? The Warriors at one point in season lost like 4-5 games in a row. Did that mean they were not gonna win the chip this year? How is this dude still a sports analyst? He is always a prisoner of the moment. Just last week the dude said OKC was going to WCF against Warriors. Now he says Houston's the biggest threat.
Kyrie has never even played a playoff game without having LeBron on his team. So what exactly has he proved? Let's see if he can lead a team as the man cause he's still never done that yet.
Wow now everyone talks about Kenneth Faried. Faried had an average game since joining the rockets and because they beat the warriors we talk about him so much disrespect
