I'll miss another Soundgarden album. If King Animal was what they did after 13-15 odd years disbanded who knows what they would of come up with next. I like his other projests Audioslave etc but nothing comes close to Soundgarden imo.
you guys meld together...and just rock it off the roof!!...Brad Wilks you amaze me, Tim beautiful bass, CC what can I say...and Tom M...you are the heart n soul of the guitar!!
It almost makes me break down in tears when I look for them playing revelations live and it doesn’t exist. I saw Chris Cornell several years back because my fiancé girlfriend at the time won them on the radio. That was our favorite night together and we have had a shit ton of good nights together.
I discovered Audio Slave a few years ago when we were in the studio recording . I didn’t care much for it then however when I would go to the gym my lifting partner always put on Audio Slave to work out to. Now they happen to be my favorite project that Chris ever did , if not my favorite period. I tend to shy away from any song that I feel is about Politics. If I sense politics I will try to create my own meaning to the song no matter which side the song or band leans. There are way too many other subjects to write about . I don’t want to risk loosing fans from either side. Chris you were a beast man and so was audio slave . This band changed my life . 🤘🏻 Rock took another big hit when we lost you buddy .
I will never get over the death of Chris Cornell. And why... didn't they feature WIDE AWAKE on this doc? It's one of Audioslaves best ever tracks. Still... loved every minute of this.
All of these guys are great! I love Audioslave! Some of the greatest Rock Performances of some of the most badass songs I have heard! They each do there own thing very well, NICE!!!!
At least you hit your fifteys, and handle decades of success! Phenomenal existence in this world my friend . A cultivated individual , with a true perspective and one hell of a group following.! You trueley grabbed the apple 🍎 and ran with it. Will always jam with you. Thanks Man!
MusicLova Yeah that was Fucked up. They should be proud Chris Cornell was there Front Man. He was Amazing Humble Magical Man. Who was Incredible at Anything He chose to do. Justice for Chris Cornell. Rip Our Beautiful Rock LEGEND.. ♥😢♥😇😘
Uvjek si bio naj.zvjezda sad kad vise nisi sa nama ostao si najsjajnija zvjezda na nebu ostavio si nezaboravni trag na ovom svjetu i nikada neces biti zaboravljen uvjek si tu sa nama R.I.P.Cris Cornell..
Geddy Lee and Rush was Tim Commerford's favorite band in high school. He ain't the only one. The funniest part is that just like him, I didn't bring up Rush either out of embarrassment. I remember one day where a kid asked me what I was listening to while at high school listening to tunes. I said I was listening to Rage Against the Machine. I was really listening to Rush's Fly By Night. Love both of em lol.
pineapplepeanuts i remember chillin w/ this 1 girl, whos my age, when we were a bit younger (35 now) & her talking about going to see rush. I was like who s that? Fast forward, I still don't know who they r. But I'm sure they're way older.
What I love about musicians is u never hear this white music black music crap! I am African American and my primary music preference is classic rock. These guys are talking about being influenced by P- Funk! I love it! Music is def in color but not for the purpose of racial divides. It's UNIVERSAL!
I always loved the grunge scene from the BEGINNING - even when hete in hamburg oeople did not know what it is - except musician - i live the music til today and hope all musicians wil be healthy.
+ovr floater this is why i avoid taking prescription pills for anxiety or depression altogether. I think they do more harm than good. The "remedy" is worse than the disease. Its better to take natural things and try to cope. Its hard but we're better off not taking those pills.
Ladonna Brock I would love to know what kind of meds you're taking. I have yet to find anything that helps me "not wanna snap necks" And, I'm being completely serious. One day, I can be angry, aggressive & confrontational, and then...the next day (sometimes, even later, in the same day) this dark cloud decends, and I'll become sad. I lay around, feeling empty, and hopeless. I've suffered from depression and anxiety for approximately 20 years. But, I have yet to find anything that really helps. I have been told, from family & friends that maybe I am bipolar. One psych told me she believed that I had been misdiagnosed, and that I have all the signs of A.D.D. She suggested that I keep taking the antidepressants, but, that I try adding some other medication for Attention Deficit Disorder. Unfortunately, my primary care physician told me that she "doesn't believe in A.D.D." but, offered to up the dosage of the antidepressants. (????) Needless to say... nothing helps. I got pissed off, and quit taking my antidepressants, cold turkey, I quit going to the psych, and I switched doctors. My new Dr. said, "find another psych, and we can go from there" Now, I can't find a psych that will accept my insurance. I'm spiraling on a non-stop rollercoaster, and I'm really curious...what kind of meds helped you? I'm sorry about the long, rambling message... but, I am searching for suggestions. For the past ten months, I'm not taking any meds, at all.
The 2000's have def lacked that special something (my first memory of R&R was the Beatles, so have been around awhile). Audioslave was in just a handful of that genre, imo. Would LOVE to see them together again! Let them get back to basics & truly go w/it-they're ALL super talented! WE NEED THIS!!
Velvet Revolver and Oasis were one of the few rocking hard in the 2000's still. There was a lot of stuff happening in the 2000's in the rock scene, lots of different projects and alternative sounds being created, but I found much about most of that stuff after they happened because it was so underground (example: Glenn Hughes). Look at his 2005/2006/2008 solo albums and tell me they don't smoke, you must be nuts then.
starchtrek They had just spoken earlier that yr about getting together to make some music...they said he seemed stoked about it....and well we know the rest...
This is cool as ice, but does it seem to be that the interview portions are slightly sped up? It makes me feel like I just did a line of Columbia’s finest...not that I’d have any idea what that feels like 🔥
Chris was much more than a musician like Lennon, Freddie Mercury and all the greats he is in the company of now, and at the same time like Ozzy sang about by a suicide you’ll be damned
that fall looked real at 2.26. None of them even flinched when he fell. The only one that sorta, and that doesnt even really count, sorta did something was Brad. He just stooped down a little bit and gave him a pat on the back but he didnt even help him up. Tom Morello just kept walking like an ass and laughed and smiled and kept on walking without even taking a second to see if Chris was ok or to help him up. And other guy Tim didnt do much either. That wasnt cool. Ones immediate reaction to someone falling is to help them up. The person trips and hasnt fallen yet and theres usually people who are already rushing to help them up or to avoid the fall and ask them if theyre ok. Not cool. Poor Chris. In the end, I think he felt he hadnt a friend in the world when he decided to kill himself. No true friends. No one that really cared. We love you Chris.
It's impossible to judge something in super slow-motion. It could've even been scripted. Maybe they'd had enough of hanging in an [old crusty house] set all day. But I can't believe any of these guys would ignore a bandmate genuinely faceplanting. They wouldn't have left it in if Chris wasn't happy with it being there.
That fall was clearly staged, can't you see Brad and Tim blatantly laughing right at the start? Goddamned, get yourself in check with reality. Although I also agree it was not suicide with so much stuff around the crime pointing at another direction.
Great to see Tom Morello playing a"real"guitar=No Floyd Rose. And Tom what do you mean by"the band hadnt played live or a single note togheter before we went in to the studio?"You guys played hundreds of gigs as"Rage"you are the same band just with a different singer or should i say a real singer..
Agreed with the floyd rose part. I hate guitarists that indulge in whammy bar noodling, fixed bridge is the real deal. Also forces guitarist to think harder about his playing and not rely on cheap tricks
