You need help if you are this invested with someone. Even Chris said you should not be this focused on somebody. Enjoy his music and live your life. Quit being dramatic.
It wasn't until his passing that I realized his tremendous contribution to my life. I remember watching Black Hole Sun on MTV and getting high with my buddies after junior high school. Now I search for a higher power and my own recovery, often listening to later works like this and Like A Stone. His death is a reminder that we don't all make it. Thank God his search was not in vain. The pain and struggle in his voice and lyrics, the depth of this very human soul, the wretchedness and the blessedness which wage constant battle within each of us, all testify to an examined life and an incredible talent. There is a certain feeling that comes when I listen to his music. It is a feeling of being alive. His voice lives on and his experiences edify all of us who keep it alive.

Chris, I only "discovered" you two years ago when I first heard, "Nearly forgot my broken heart". Never paid much attention beyond that, but since your death, I can't stop paying attention to your beautiful gift of a voice, your music, and knowledge of the beautiful, sensitive soul that you were. I never cried for someone I never knew until I saw that Chris died. I woke up to bad news all over the place. A good friend I knew died around the same time as well. 2017 wasn't good for me. It was a long time dream for me to go and see him and perhaps get an autograph.
It's a gift that we had Chris in our lives. His voice and passion for the art of music is what separates him from most of us. His music and his soul were intertwined to the point of rare greatness. God bless him as a person and for the music his soul gave us. May he never be forgotten 🙏
He is the God father of the grudge area in the 90s. I'm 45. Been listening to him since, rusty cage, outshine!! Their will never be another Chris, he is a legend!!! I've never herd a voice like his. So glad I was around to experience the 90s!!! All I listen to these days is music from 90s. I listen to Chris alot, I wish he was still with us. Never got to see him live. I regret that so much. I'm mostly a soul and R&B type of guy. Never really followed this genre. A friend posted a tribute with just his voice and I have been hooked ever since. RIP Chris.

I totally agree. Each time I hear his accoutic work and voice I shed a tear. A great light in the musical universe has gone out and will never be replaced.
This man leaving us was such a personal tragedy to so many of us. No one will ever have a voice like his for all of time. What saddens me the most is he helped so many of us during some dark days with his music but none of us could help him during his dark days. Rest in peace brother. So many will always miss you.

Okay, so i'm 15 and i didnt know any of chris his music (only black hole sun). After he passed away i started listening to soundgarden and audioslave, and it has such a influence in my life. Is it weird i can feel really sad about chris's death even though i didn't really knew him before? I mean i do feel sad thinking about it. Love you chris!
