To the people that say that CC concerts are boring because he just stands there, I have one thing to say: LISTEN!!! It's about the heart and soul that he puts into his music everytime he sings. His live performances are the reason that the "Idols" will never reach his level. He may not run around the stage like Linkin Park or have the light show of Pink Floyd. But he has a passion for what he sings each and every night, and that's not an easy thing to do.
This man’s voice is incredible! Miss him every day. At least now I don’t cry as much as I used to when listening to Chris. Chester, Chris miss you guys. Rock out Heaven and I’ll meet you there one day.
@@chriswiggins1679it’s about the essence. That was one of Chris’s and Soundgardens biggest fears”Commercialization” they didn’t even like performing venues during the day.
Lance Salkind, that’s how I describe this song, almost word for word. I leave out the human experience and b’ful masterpiece part. I wish some of these songs are available for some pirated/ bootleg version.
Depression can take away a millionaire, or homeless person..Curt, Layne ( A,in C) Scott(S.T.P) this diecise also took his best friend Chester(L.P.)There music has and is still helping through 30 plus years of clinical depression, their musical lyrics tell a long stories of sadness loss of hopes n dream"s only to dream but never to reach the happiness they truly deserved, each day was (is) a dark empty hole, never ending like Chris said" I'm only faking when i get it right" and Chester"just cause you can't see it,doesn't meen it isn't their." Well guy's I've lived it. Lost it, and wake with it every day I prey for the darkness to turn into lightness, to smell sweet "Sunshine" I'm not giving up, but sadden( but understand) why you did. Every days a burdensome, n heartache, with this hellish disease. My heart goes out to all living with this never ending nightmare, Jewles
I agree. It's one of his best yet sadly most underatted songs. They should have aired this on the radio as much as Black Hole Sun, Pretty Noose, etc. Soundgarden still is and always WILL be a great band, but it saddens me that Chris's solo stuff didnt get the airplay it deserved.
It is sad some people just don't get it. This song is wonderful. Cornell is truly amazing. Words really can't describe how this song makes me feel. I'm right there with ya.
@@Oh_I_Will Very true Although, I have to admit I am shocked when I ask if someone knows who Cornell is, and the answer is No!?!? But, Thier loss I guess Although. It is how I have been introduced to great music in the past?... 🤘🏼; )
Amazing song. Truly gifted man. He felt so much, said so little, so I'm told. Although, when I saw him and I was too shy to speak, he said very little. Pretty cool guy. I feel awful for his family. Their loss.....ugh! The world mourns this talented man.
Adelia, they outshine. This was such a good, good performance. Chris gets in a moment during the final guitar solo. Watch him again. They have all become in one accord.
This was always my go to song in life. When Chris passed I couldn't listen to it at first. His voice is so beautiful though that I had to at some point. I have since become an Admin on a SG page and I am on my way to his Tribute concert. This will always be my go to song for life. He leads me on.
Why couldn’t you listen to it...whenever any Artists passes on, the first thing You Must do is, tune in to their art. Their death isn’t about You, it’s about the impact they made in the world of music
@@Oh_I_Will Simple Because Chris unfortunately took his own life and it’s painful to think that he was in so much pain that he couldn’t go on especially since most of us here know him as this amazing performer.
Chris is godly as always, but the guitarist really steals the show here. A guitar solo is the only thing that could've made my favorite song in the world better, and he killed it!
Cris David I saw him on this tour. Seeing this song live was one of my favorite moements in all the shows I've seen Cornell play over the years. Seen him a dozen times with SG and another 4 times solo. Incredible song made even better live.
A Masterful performance of a Masterpiece song. One of my all time favorite Chris Cornell songs about overcoming depression and frustration. Anyone who has gone through a difficult time will relate. The song's structure reminds me a little of Led Zeppelin.
Poetry in motion. The vast majority of Chris’s songs depicted his life’s journey and others as well. Even in his interviews he spoke the simple but yet complicated truths surrounding lifestyle choices in an amaze (4) octave vocal range!
Whoever went to this show is so lucky, they were so on it this night. Say hello to heaven version this night is my favorite, these performances were so great by everyone. 🥰
Came back to watch it for the who knows how manyth time... I really have to give the lead guitarist major credit on this one, really a powerfully dynamic and emotional outro solo...The whole band kills it. I love how it just kinda goes on and on...Great tune!
I'm with ya. First time I saw it I thought man, that guitarist just !@#% owned it. But I go back to this playlist every once and a while, and that drummer and bass player are killing it too! Just amazing. Talent surrounds itself with talent I guess. Good comment man.
Dark as roses and fine as sand Fell your healing and your sting again Hear you laughing and my soul is saved On forgotten graves you cry Crawl like ivy up my spine Through my nerves and into my eyes Cuts like anguish or recollections Of better days gone by But it's all right When you're all in pain And you feel the rain come down Oh it's all right When you find you way Then you see it disappear Oh it's all right Though your garden's gray I know all your graces Someday will flower Oh oh in a sweet sunshower In a sweet sunshower Eyes like oceans so far away A feather trail to a better way Worried mornings turn into days Then into worried nights But it's all right When you're all in pain And you feel the rain come down Oh it's all right When you find you way Then you see it disappear It's all right Though your garden's gray I know all your graces Someday will flower Oh oh in a sweet sunshower Oh in a sweet sunshower In the sweet sunshower In the sweet Sweet Sweet Sunshower Oh oh oh I know all your graces Someday will flower In the sweet In the sweet sunshower And its all right All you'll be you are today Are today Its all right All you'll be you are today Are today Are today Are today Are today Are today
When the topic of best male vocals ever come up, Chris cornell has to be in that discussion!!! How many singers sing as hard as he does, for as long as he has and are still around?
Roxxane D'troyt Paul Rodgers is a great singer. Doesn't touch Cornell. Especially as they've gotten older. I;ve seen Rodgers live in his early 50's and I saw Cornell last year at age 50. Cornell sounds as good today as he ever has. Rodgers can't even come close to singing the way he did in his prime. Cornell is a league of his own. Freak of nature.
bossnfrank im sorry i disagree, I saw him do an impromptu 2nd song at a station my man was jockeying for at the time and that man sounded the same if not better when he was young, however the question was "how many singer still sings as hard as he does for as long as he does.". Bruce Dickinson also comes to mind now..i've seen his 80's shows and the 00 shows and he sings JUST as Hard and Long as he did in the 80's1
Roxxane D'troyt I like Bruce Dickenson, just saw Maiden in '13. But again, I think Bruce is about 75-80% of what he was in his prime. Cornell is actually singing better at 51 then he was when Soundgarden was in their prime. And I don;t care what you heard at a radio station with Paul Rodgers. I have 100's of videos on here to watch him and know he can't sing like he did when he was in his 20's or even 30's. Not even close. I'm not saying he isn't still a great singer. I'm just saying that he, like many other older singers, sings in a lower key than he did when he was in his prime. He just can't sustain the highs the way he did. That's why I call Cornell a freak of nature. You just don;t see guys in their 50;s who can do it like he does.
Dallas Russell omg! ok its my opinion, i've heard yours you've heard mine , you're bot going to change mine.. whose chris cornell? I answered the question. Doine move along
I would think he wrote this for his daughters, daughters give their Father's a lovely joy! Cheers Chris you were always devoted to family and their joy! We will miss you!
Every once in a great while a song will come along where the vocals and the music just blend together and create magic. This song takes me to another place every time I hear it and it has since it first came out. Sadly this should have been a massive hit but didn't get the exposure it deserved. Judging by the comments here it's clear it has touched a lot more people than just me.
some men are gifted and able to sing notes and tones that others cannot. But the precision and perfection of creating such difficult sounds is only fully realized when our voices are are healthy. Other than that singing is a mental thing. You have to be in the right headspace to perform at a high level. Belief in yourself, and constant practice are a premium. It is a joy to hear Chris perform at this level again. Thank you Chris for your amazing body of work.
Lisa Marie Presley posted this song as a dedication to her late ex-husband Michael Jackson on her Myspace page on the first Anniversary of his death (she said: "The Song Sunshower by Chris Cornell says more than anything I can say..." and I have been loving Cornell's music ever since.
My mind just got blown. That was the most amazing thing ever. You can tell that even Chris was diggin' it. Ugh! God the world misses you so much! RIP Rockstar
I guess you could say, when it came to Chris, I was totally 🌟 star struck,I think he was the best-looking man that ever was I just watch his videos over and over over and just cry and I get mad and I try to understand why I love you Chris rest in peace🌹🌹🌹😭😓
My favorite song ever since I saw Great Expectations. So haunting and beautiful. Rest in Peace Mr Cornell. I know that RU-vid comments don't mean shit but many people loved you.
Wow. This man gave his all on vocals in every performance I've seen. He nailed it, along with that band too! Finesse, thoughtfully worded, beautifully melodic song he wrote here. Your fans from across the countries & continents are truly missing you. See u on the other side, Chris.
He sang this song as soft as he could.I can tell he was limping.I havent heard the whole show but this is my favorite song ever..not just ever but forever so far if that makes sense!!!
You will always be my Sweet Sunshower, forever..You were my beacon light...Im nowhere any better since you're gone...I miss you more and more every day,,
All his songs with his bands and solo career sound good acoustically, with a live band, with any band that's how much of a rare, beautiful, awesome talent Chris Cornell was. He truly is, in my opinion the greatest musical artist ever.
I emailed the link of this song to my daughter's email which I'll give the control when she is 18. If ever I'm not there for here, I hope she finds wisdom on this song.
He is/was so gifted! His voices touches my heart in a way I cant describe! When I die I want this song played at my funeral! Only then will anyone know how his songs soared with the angels in heaven! I love You CHRIS CORNELL! Now and forever remembered!
In my opinion, he 'fixes' the lyrics not fuck em' up. The notes he hits and the imperfect perfection of his pitch is what makes this music the best. I love Chris cornell and he is definately one of the most talented performers of his genre and his music will always be epic and universal. Love ya, Chris. And oh yeah, you are my sunshower!!!!!!!
honestly one of if not the greatest lyricist and vocalist over the last 2 decades. if perfection could be summed up as one being it'd be chris cornell.
