Saw him live his last year, opening for NIN at Red Rocks. His voice was clear and he made a point of saying he was clean and feeling great, it was his birthday. Someday I’ll be able to listen to his records again
When I first heard Soundgarden and learned about Chris Cornel I knew he was SPECIAL. One of the very few singers who can effortlessly melt the paint off walls. Maybe the most powerful voice in Rock. God Bless Him.
It's like he had an in built auto-tuner, he couldn't hit the tunes anything but just right. And the voice is inside him even without any support from his core! Sensitive and strong, I miss him.

Yup, that is Pete Thorn on rhythm....if that is Yogi Lonich on lead guitar, he sure looks different than when I saw Chris and these guys perform back in 2009... drums is Jason Sutter, and bass is Corey McCormack...if i'm not mistaken that is the lineup here...pretty much Chris Cornell's post Audioslave touring band before Soundgarden reformed ..
I'm from Colombia (South America), I went to his concert in Bogotá D.C. (Colombia), and I have a picture with him in the concert, the concert was in Colombia on December 4, 2016, he was very happy in Colombia because colombian people were very kind and friendly with him, and then I was in Spain studying a specialization in 2017, when I saw the news about his suicide,. I was in shock, I couldn't believe it. A person can be successful and show happiness to people, but in real life that person can be a very sad person.
Couldn't agree more man!..There's just some perfect performances of certain songs..Chris's vocals were so very unique and powerful..Just hope he found the peace he couldn't in this realm..As that guy was talented..and then some!!👌As no one really does sing like him anymore.😔

RIP MAN. I actually just watched this performance a few days before his death cuz I randomly wanted to hear how a live version sounds again. It's just crazy that all the grunge lead singers are gone tragically and unexpectedly #LongLiveGrunge
