My mom swears she was almost a Bundy victim down in Florida, she lived in the area he was lurking. My dad claims she was too ugly. Both have valid points. For those who wanted more backstory: My mom was walking home from school with a friend when a VW Beetle was following and they ran, that’s what Bundy was driving. She now calls them Bundymobiles. Also, my mom isn’t ugly, we’re just a sarcastic family and nothing was ever off limits if it got a laugh. Glad I made some laughs, that’s what it’s all about at the end of the day. Thanks!
Excuse me if I doubt his story. He gave 1978 as the approximate year this woman was on a date with him. Anyone who knows anything about Teddy knows he did his final ones in January and February, 1978, and was arrested around Valentine's Day. There are quite a few stories which are similar. Some of the women may be telling the truth.
Chris is like that slightly older guy you all know as a kid who has all the crazy stories you never know are true because he always heard it from someone else 😂
In this case, Chris is telling the truth..meaning that he is telling the story as his Mother told it to him. His mother is the one who is lying about it.
@@luxuryseaviewvillas6744 based on his track record with the various pods I’ve heard him on, I’d be more inclined to believe he just made up the story entirely and served it as his mom’s story
Spotify demands that Joe fact check all statements he says on show, why he can't conduct an Alex Jones interview etc, even when he was allowed on show still.
I hate when he does that, or when Jamie puts something up and sidelines a story. At least Chris was able to tell the story, sometimes they never get back to what they were saying
That part about Bundy's face changing is interesting because others have said the same thing about him. His long-time girlfriend said they were rafting one day when he suddenly pushed her into the water and she almost drowned. She eventually managed to pull herself back up and just saw Ted sitting there with a blank expression on his face as if he wasn't really there. Others have also claimed that Bundy's eyes would go black when he was ready to kill. Crazy stuff.
It would be funny if Bundy did an interview where he said that his anger towards women was fueled by them walking out on dates and treating him like he's a creep.
He did a great job in waiting on Joe's sudden pause for fact checking and brought us back to his interesting story. I was wondering how he would handle that bump because of course I wanted to hear the story. Great conversation. Love this stuff.
Lmao, even though the title clearly says they will talk about it, I was still terrified they'd never get back to it. If it were up to Joe alone, they'd never circle back to that potential gold mine. Pretty sure he straight up forgot it.
My friend is a nurse and she was driving to work one night when a man with red hair started following her in his car. He kept beeping his horn like he wanted her to pull over and followed her all the way to the nursing home where she worked. She was creeped out and did not stop until she got the the nursing home where she parked and quickly walked over to where other staff were. He got out of his car and followed her but backed away when he saw other people. He said something like. 'I just wanted to warn you your tyre was wobbly. You should get it looked at' and then left. Several days later she saw a newspaper article that man with red hair was wanted by the police. He had stalked and raped several woman, often pulling them over in his car under the pretext that there was mechanical trouble with their car.
She is lucky..coz it was a dumb move by your friend...she should not have let him know where she worked...if someone does that i will drive to the nearest police station...instead of revealing where i work or live...he might have come back another day.
That look from Bundy Chris talked about that happened to his moms friend, was the same look a man gave me when I was a child (9 or 10) and in line at a grocery story. He kept turning around and staring at me. The cashier picked up on something and had enough sense to ask me if I wanted to stay at the store with her until she called my mom and I said yes. Well, the guy ended up leaving but I was young and didn't know my phone number and thought I was going to get in trouble so I ended up leaving the store. As soon as I crossed the street that same guy pulled up in his car telling me that my mother sent him to get me and I knew he was lying so I started to run. Thats when he stepped on the gas and started to chase me with his car. When I got around the corner he got out of his car and caught up to me and grabbed me by my hood and kept telling me that I got it wrong to just get in the fucking car! I managed to break free, run through a yard while he was still chasing me. He almost caught up but luckily there was a fence he was too old to climb and being a kid, I was able to climb the fence with ease and get home. But what I remember most was his dead eyes and the way he stared at me. He was going to kill me. This happened in 78 or 79. The decade all the serial killers were out there.
It's a month late so I don't know if anybody's going to read this comment. Interesting story I worked for a mental health facility where we had a high-profile killer. The head of the facility who is also a professor at a neighboring college talk to me when I asked her questions about this person and what he was like. She said she was tempted or almost believed that he had disassociative identity disorder or multiple personality disorder because his eyes would literally change colors when she was speaking with him. She had never encountered in her career which had been tenured somebody like him before so this description that he's giving is much like the description that she gave me when I inquired about what this killer was like. Hope this makes sense talk-to-text
i worked at a luxury department store and at our coffee shop there was a guy who i always felt uncomfortable around. My coworkers had agreed that he had creepy vibes so I always kept my distance. A friend of mine decided to google him after an incident left her feeling like he was seriously off. Turns out he had just gotten out of jail after a 10 year sentence for raping and abusing several girls as young as 11. She contacted our security team and he was instantly fired and barred from the store. A few months later he strangled a 21 year old girl to death. Moral of the story: trust your gut about creepy men. better to be considered rude than be dead. also google people for yourself, not everyone does their due diligence.
Hey, maybe if you hadn't ruined his life by getting him fired for doing absolutely nothing...he wouldn't have gone and killed that 21 year old? Nice job.
You've got a great intuition. Most people don't..especially when it comes to reading people. Sometimes the only clue that someone is dangerous is that you just get a weird feeling about someone. That and abnormal eye contact...someone might be cool and charismatic..but if they hold their gaze a little too long..run for the hills. I was a nurse for inmates, those are the 2 things that I noticed.
The story about Ted Bundy at 3:49 -- I heard the same story 40 years ago from a girlfriend of the girl who walked out on Ted Bundy at the restaurant. As I recall, the girl was a BYU student and she was at Brick Oven Pizza in Provo on a first date with Ted. Then sitting at the table she had an overwhelming feeling that Ted was evil - so she excused herself to "go to the restroom" & just didn't go back. It was ~2-3(?) years later when she saw Ted's picture and learned who he was.
Many women after surviving attacks from people like Bundy have said they had that weird feeling beforehand, but felt too awkward to leave. They would rather take the risk and hope their wrong than to create an awkward moment and be safe. Something hard for me to grasp
Most people don’t realise how evil people in thier own town can be. They see it on tv and on shows and on the news but still people are so Fucken stupid and think it couldn’t happen to them, that’s why.
Then there’s a whole community of actually smart women who understand their safety is more important than an AWKWARD encounter. That’s why I say, I can’t hang with people that have social anxiety or can’t handle normal people. Cause if some shit pop off and you’re too scared to leave or voice your discomfort? You’re on your own. 💀
I can absolutely see that. I’ve learned to just risk offending than risk the hospital or worse. It’s not something I do with just anyone, I’d need to have that feeling. But I definitely act on it. One guy tried gaslighting me for it, but it didn’t work.
I live in Salt Lake city and worked at a Smiths grocery store with a man who almost caught Ted bundy. I forget the whole story but this man had worked for the store for a long time and one night he was asked to stop a customer who was leaving, he was later informed that the man was identified as Ted bundy.
I swear Joe thinks Google is what AskJeeves pretended to be 😂 umm just look up “did this guy ever get accused of committing another murder in another area that he might have lived in”
Joe is a boomer but Jamie is awful at his job. He is the slowest podcast sidekick of anyone that I watch and can never quickly get anything Joe wants to talk about. JRE is dead
Chris is the one of the best story tellers we have been graced with he’s fills in with jokes, side points and fun facts whilst maintaining the best hand signals. Absolutely love the bloke
I got solid one liners, charisma, humor, etc. But holy shit man, I CANNOT tell a story for shit. I thought my friends just had dog shit attention span, which they do, however, being a good story teller is a serious skill/talent.
For people who had a run-in with a serial killer, predator, killer, sadist, etc to those who escaped, ran away, got away, etc they lived to tell the tale and thank you for sharing. There are some people who never share their experiences. You escaped with your life and you are forever altered. When you see a face change, eyes go black, you are in the presence of evil and you never forget it.
My grandfather was one of Ted Bundy's psychologist when he was at the Utah state prison. He told me some crazy stories and he still has a bunch of the tests he gave him. There is a documentary coming out soon where he talks about it.
Chris has a number of good qualities that not all comedians have. He's funny, he's an interesting guy and has the ability to convey stories in a clear and concise way without boring you. He doesn't have that certain comedian smugness that so many have. He's just that funny (normal) guy you'd like to hang with at a party and bullshit with.
After years of watching documentaries, the one on Netflix about Sons of Sam is one of the most compelling flick's I've ever seen. And something no one ever takes into account is, sometimes back then cops were either stupid or inept to investigate or downplay for reelection or budgeting. Or because they had nothing to answer for a serial killer. Without a doubt that was a cult killing.
Not really a serial killer documentary, but is a true crime documentary. Best documentary I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched it multiple times now. It is however incredibly angering and sad to watch though as well. But watch Dear Zachary. Beautifully done. Worth watching.
Just watched that documentary today. Absolutely mind boggling that case and the fact that Berkowitz is still alive he's 70 now, still in prison and apparently a Christian. Who knew ya know.
Y’all got it ALL WRONG. David Berkowitz is a SERIOUS CHRISTIAN and has been for awhile. He openly admits that he knew exactly what he was doing and that there was no voice or dog compelling him to kill. He chose to kill ALL those people. He’s not making any excuses so you guys must stop making excuses for him.
Went to rehab with an older lady who got away from Richard Ramirez. Rehab was in San Dimas, CA. He snuck in her bedroom window pinned her down as a teen in her bed and she screamed and her dad chased him outta the house. She kept saying in group circle time, “ His eyes were black!!!! The whites were black!!! His eyes were all black!!!!” Then she couldn’t stop crying. Scared the living $h!t outta me. She was a hot mess. I’m so glad she survived. 😭
Joe needs to have John Cameron, a former detective, on to talk about Edward Edwards, a serial killer linked to MANY murders. Also, Firing squad is actually a pretty quick and humane way to go, not to mention cost to the state. We do the same to wounded animals to “put them out of their misery”. Not really sure why states got rid of it to begin with.
What about the people who have to do actually execute the criminals in the form of a firing squad though? I feel like even if they were all horrible horrible evil people eventually that being your job would haunt you after having to kill so many people. Maybe that’s another reason they don’t do it anymore
@@jeremyroberts8822 the reason they do the squad is one person has a live round everyone else is blanks. no one knows who has the live round so in theory they can just think “oh I didn’t do that I had the blank”
My daughters great uncle lived near the Manson family. He told us a story about his girlfriend came over and said something about a dog in their yard that was outside with no food or water. Apparently it was the Manson families dog. They were going over with water and food for the dog and to bring it over and ask what's going on with the dog. The other neighbor saw them and started yelling at them saying don't go over there, it's dangerous and stay away from those people 🤷 they kept the dog and no one ever asked about it or said
Henry Lee Lucas was confessing because they were allowing him to travel to all these places and treated like a celebrity. Black Bird is an great watch. I have been thinking of watching it again. And Paul Walter Hauser is a phenomenal actor. I first saw him in I, Tonya and thought he was hilarious. He's also really good in Richard Jewel!
Ted Bundy as a young dude worked at a crisis hotline in the night shift together with a middle aged female colleague who was an ex-cop and a true crime writer (before she met Bundy). She wrote "The Stranger Beside Me" about her time with Bundy. Fascinating book.
Speaking of a warped individual. He represented himself in court and was even commended on how good he did by the judge, except, "you went to the other side" before sentencing him to death.
You can buy that stuff by the gallon at any place that sells household cleaning supplies. It's just ammonia. You can even get it lemon scented or add your own scent.
Crazy murderer link story. I grew up near Diamond Bar CA where the Nightstalker committed his last murder (or one of the last). My mom had the same reaction upon seeing the mugshot and always tells her story when he comes up on tv. She saw the Nightstalker at her bathroom window (daytime) as she got out of the shower. We had just moved into a newly developed suburb, which is adjacent to Diamond Bar (most eastern LA county), so there were no fences between houses yet. He was caught in East LA only a few days later. Stories like hers and Chris' mom's friend are so compelling because it makes you wonder how many potential victims got lucky.
I bet 100,000 horny women have the same exact story because they secretly want to be sodomized and brutalized like a submissive little murder victim by someone called “the night stalker”
What should also highlight is how many people where murdered that never went reported or were ever found.. you rarely here about the murders they were not convicted of..
When my friends husband was a kid living in California he and his dad were driving somewhere when their car broke down. They started walking to find help when they came upon the Manson family at Spahn ranch. The Manson family helped them get back on the road. This happened just before they committed the murders.
I personally know 2 separate people that attended college at the same time the idaho killer was in idaho and washington at college. One I believe had a class with him. Hecka crazy scary it's so close to home.
One of my Mom's Childhood Friend's Mom had a somewhat similar dating story about by Ted Bundy in Seattle Washington. He left his mark here in the Seattle area, that's for sure. Seemed like just about everyone in the area knew somebody personally who had some kind of interaction with Ted. He made was really getting out there
@@DefeatLust it wasn't available on Netflix or Tubi and I couldn't find a site to watch it for free so I gave up. Ended up continuing "Better Call Saul" I was upset
Some people give off a vibe that you can feel. Especially when you look at & they know you know that something ain't right about them. Setting aside from them just being uncomfortable or shy. If you have ever felt it you will know what it is. You feel the demon inside hiding behind dead human eyes looking back at you as if the person in front of you is just a shell
Chrissy D rocking his dads glasses cracks me up.. Just saw his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel when he was rocking these and then see him rocking them on JRE next lol.. so great.
True story. My former father in law was in prison for adultery with his then wife (they both were married to other people when they met). He was a cellmate of The Boston Strangler and produced a wooden box that Albert had made for him in wood shop
Some years back a friend and I got temporary jobs painting fence by the beach in Florida. Since we were staying at the boss' house, we had not been paid in full for a few weeks. Once we were, it was on. My buddy and I went down to a local oysters and brew shack and proceeded to get pretty wasted. He got tired after a few hours of booze and pool and decided to head home. I wasn't ready for that and bid him goodbye, saying I would call a little later for a ride. So I went back to the pool table and it wasn't long before a couple of guys came up with a pitcher and asked if I wanted to shoot some games. We did, playing for at least a couple more hours, drinking heavily all the while and having a super good time. I was beginning to worry because it was getting late and I still hadn't arranged for my friend to pick me up yet, but the driver of the two I'd met offered to taxi me back the three miles or so to my boss' place. What luck, I thought, to run into a couple of such funny and cool random dudes. After a while, the more extroverted and quick witted of the two excused himself to go to the restroom, me thinking nothing of it. But just as soon as the guy left his buddy grabbed my arm and looked right in my eyes and said "Don't take that ride with us, I've seen him hurt people..." He was clearly frightened, and I was totally freaked out. I could see now the dynamic between the two as a classic 'killing team' in which the dominant partner usually does the killing and the submissive who obeys orders and helps supply or dupe the victims. Sometimes these subs will have a real crisis of conscience about the arrangement. All the fun before now revealed a sinister undercurrent upon reflection, with lots of compliments and ego boosts that seemed to encourage an attitude of arrogance and overly robust self assurance in me, the type a psychopath would surely enjoy disillusioning and depriving their victim of. I went immediately to the main bar and got the two bartender's attention. I told them the situation and told them not to let me walk out with either of those two. I was worried about being led out drugged or at gunpoint or something. I finally got in touch with my friend who came and got me before too long, and I didn't talk to either of those two again. I really wonder what might have happened that night, I've taken a thousand chances on iffy situations, but I think this one would have turned out bad if I'd not been warned.
Henry Lee Lucas didn't kill the vast majority of the victims he confessed to, but he was definitely a murderer - he killed his own mother, because she used to sexually humiliate him and send him to school dressed as a girl (you can expect to see a lot more of this in the next 10 years or so).
I forgot that Otis Toole, who was Henry Lee Lucas's alleged partner-in-crime and gay lover, was posthumously declared to be the murderer of Adam Walsh, John Walsh's son (of America's Most Wanted fame). I suspect that is B.S. as well. Toole's car was lost while in police custody, along with any hard evidence that he committed that crime. Who knows. Be careful out there. I also forgot that Henry Lee Lucas's mother used to force him to watch her have sex with strangers, which of course isn't psychologically healthy or normal. Sexualizing children is going to produce so many shivering shells of human beings that I honestly don't really care if a comet hits this planet. Children should be nurtured and protected, not used as blow-up dolls or unwitting voyeurs to maximize dopamine hits.
Any "parent" enabling such a m3nt@l iLln3$$ and acting as though it's NORMAL? AND SAFE? Deserves all the agony possible!! It's a serious form of munchausen by proxy if you ask me!! Irreversible lifelong mistakes!!! that only make the REAL underlying illness WORSE over time?!?! Real "loving" parents 🙄🤢🤮
I know someone who works as a Prison Guard and he says that the higher the security level prison usually the safer it is. Love Chris he tells good stories.
true in a sense...... federal time on the west coast youre putyting in work for your race and usually shit gets dealt with with shivs causae people are doiing LONG stints, the minnimum security theres just TONS of fist fights causer peple are just doing 3 years and shit and most of the inmates are young dumb kinds in their late teens or early to mid 20s trying to make a name for themselves
I mean that's just blatantly untrue but I understand the perspective. The amount of violence is definitely lesser in max security compared to basic, but the severity of violence is greater in max security. Meaning in lower security prisons or jails you're surrounded by a bunch of lowlives with egos (drug dealers, smugglers, gang bangers, extortionists, etc) so the amount of times someone might get jumped or stabbed because someone else looked at them wrong is a lot greater -- in max security you're surrounded by lifers, murderers, killers, "made men", the likelihood of getting gutted and your intestines used as a noose to hang you with because Ezekiel told John that was the only way to keep Baby Jesus from being drafted into the third Colonial War on Omicron Persei-8. TL;DR More shit goes off in low level but more likely to survive, less shit goes on in max but you're more likely to die.
The security of any prison is dependent upon the design of its physical plant, how many staff there are, and whether or not they care about protecting inmates. Older maximum security facilities can be very dangerous due to blind spots. Indifferent staff can have a huge impact on how safe the inmates are.
check out his 9/11 story on youtube. his storytelling is awesome. and he has a doctorate. was a physical therapist before dropping it become a comedian. interesting and funny dude
The guy who played the serial killer in Blackbird received a Golden Globe for his performance. One of the best limited series out right now that nobody is talking about.
When I was a young child, my "Nana" had a friend from Wisconsin who would come out to visit her. To me she was "Aunt Catherine" . Well turned out later (much later) that was Jeffry Dahmer's Grandmother. I remember her as a very kind woman.
Henry Lee Lucas for sure killed 3 people. His mother who horribly abused him as a child, an elderly woman, and a young girlfriend. He began to confess to any murder questioned about, he really enjoyed the attention and perks recieved. I think authorities found out quickly. Not sure how long before most confessions were discounted.
