I thought the exact same thing. It's like listening to a brilliant friend when they're stoned - you know they're giving an eloquent answer but the bigger mystery is what they think the question was...
Big fan of Chris Eubank, but seriously, what on Earth is he going on about? All I got out of this was bubblegum, a bit of awkward dancing and something about male strippers.
LOL! Exactly what I was thinking! He made me laugh at 2:45....."bubble gum, toothpaste, coca cola, M&Ms, discotheques!...." What has he been smoking, he goes off on a crazy tangent! Great boxer though and top bloke!
I like Eubank for sure, he is one hell of a character. But its annoying as hell when he tries to sound all wise and knowing, much like Tyson does, when he isn't at all. Its his incredible physical genetics that allowed him to win and absorb HUGE amounts of punishment/pain, and still carry on. No one wants to get knocked out, its not a fucking choice or anything to do with character for fucks sake, its your underlying make up that allows you to either absorb punches to the jaw/chin and not get KO'D or crumble in a unconscious heap on the floor. Everyone wants to win massively as we all have big ego's, even homeless people have big ego's if you actually talk to them and dig a little beneath the surface, they'll reveal it to you. Eubank's bone structure was just a lot more dense than 99% of men on the street, and his skin thicker with a huge skull, and this allowed him to take punches to the jaw that literally drew gasps from the crowd in amazement at how he did't get floored, it happened in the fight with Calzaghe. Someone could literally have the strongest/sturdiest mindset on earth, with no fear and the heart of a lion, but if they have a weak bone structure they are going the get knocked the fuck out despite whatever strength of character they have, once the punches connect flush with their chin, their consciousness will simply switch off before they have hit the ground.
Unfair to say that he isn’t wise at all he is clearly very intelligent. He just presents himself in a way that many people find difficult to understand. You included. And also, yes genetics plays a part in how many hits u can take in a boxing match, but it still requires character to keep getting up even though u know ur going to lose. Eubank getting up after he got knocked down against Watson was an amazing display of character, not genetics. Very unfair to discredit him like that and say that it’s all just his genetics.
He's saying he loves every aspect of life because he spoke very ill if powerful entities, and he knows he'd better make it clear he would never endanger or take his own life (outside of pro boxing...)
lol i clicked cause i know if you gonna let Eubank have a speech at Oxford his ego will snowball to the point of trencending to the 3rd realm of consciousness. The comments confirmed that right away. :D
