C Klan apparently the boy trains himself if you believe what they say...i was just shocked that the old man showed some humility..whilst the boy was still claiming he thought he'd "done enough to nick it".
Amy Mcphee someone tell Groves he's paying a guy in training gear pretending to be a trainer. Your getting Shane mixed up with a pushy wanabe fat dad living his dream through his son . Seen soo many of these fraudsters in n around amateur gyms it's become normal!
He would have a better chance at someone who came forward and turned it into a fight than someone who skilfully picks him apart, would most likely be beaten bad though regardless
Haha, karma for all that shit that snr was chatting before the fight with his little police badge. Eubank jnr should ditch his dad and get a proper trainer.
joe smith is not about karma, it’s what it’s; Eubank Jr can’t fight slick and skilful boxers, he’s too limited for that. He needs to get them on ropes to succeed. He can’t perform from a distance stance, using his jab effectively...with this type of weakness, he won’t go far.
At no stage whatsoever did CE hurt GG. He couldnt hurt him enough when GG had one arm. CE has a prob fractured cheek bone, got dropped twice, got battered by GG jab and was hurt badly in 4-5 Groves hits. The only person who got hurt was CE....badly, often. Dont say “he head butted me” after rushing in. Dont say “my cut affected my performance”. Your cut was on the outside of your eye....after YOU rushed in head first, got a welcome home present of a hook and then threw your head across while he was digging in a punch. You lost because you are far too small, have little power at this weight and got schooled in BOXING. Your dad saw what happened... MILLIONS of boxing fans did too. You lost because you were not good enough, strong enough or capable. Simple
you can look at the negatives but i think it was a great learning fight for eubank. He will have learnt you can't rely on speed, power and strength at the highest level, you need a lot more ringcraft. He started the sport late and i think he has done amazingly well considering he's got all the added pressure of being seniors son
You can’t deny sr was an epic fighter and the boxing matches between him and Benn were monumental. He was unorthodox but original and Benn was the brawler. Massive respect to sr from me; some of the best boxing matches I’ve ever seen. I can’t help but feel though that sr is living his dream and jr is in his shadow; even the fact that he calls him jr is condescending.
Rangda Rangda took his soul? Getting outboxed isn’t taking someone’s soul. He dominated a fighter who isn’t on this level. I don’t even know why Chris eubank is allowed to be a pro, everything he does is amateur
I did not see any domination. He squeezed out a win. Good for him but let’s not get carried away. If there was dominance there would have been a knockout.
It wasn’t even close, people think it was close because of the last 1min of the fight. The last min was a one armed George groves fending off a desperate Eubank. Groves had a dislocated shoulder and still Eubank could not land clean enough to take him out. Eubank got schooled he is not on world level and is not big enough for super middleweight. He needs a new trainer a better cut man for sure ffs and he needs to challenge for British and European middleweight titles. He needs to start again he need to LEARN how to box he needs a good coach and tactician in his corner he needs to listen to commands and he needs his dad sitting on the sidelines
Such class and honesty from Senior. A true legend. His son is arrogant and naive and needs a top trainer and needs to listen and understand boxing is a team effort otherwise smart boxersike George will have to much for him.
Great to see Eubank sr accepting the defeat-- If Groves had lost he would have probably started blaming his trainer Shane as he did when he lost to Froch and Badou Jack-- Eubank jr lost the fight fare and square, but so what? They're only 2 boxers in history who finished their careers undefeated-- Even the dreaded Mike Tyson was knocked out and stopped several times-- Boxing is a metaphor for life, they're going to be up's and down's and things may not always go your way, but you have to keep your head up and carry on-- A massive congratulations to Groves for winning and I hope that his injury is not too bad, and for Eubank jr, keep your head up young man, a loss is not the end of the world-- Learn from this and move on-----
I hope that Groves keeps winning, because if he loses, the way people will turn on him would be mental-- I have never boxed in my life and even though my surname is Joshua., I am not even remotely related to AJ-- All I can say is that I have a huge amount of respect for anybody who steps into the ring and put their lives on the line-- A few weeks ago the whole world was slating and bashing James Degale and many were saying that he was washed up-- Today the venom and the abuse has turned towards the Eubanks, God know's who's turn it will be tomorrow-- The planet is Circular for a reason, because what meets one person today, could well end up meeting you tomorrow-- When George Groves was knocked out by Carl Froch at wembley, after goading Froch for months and complaining bitterly about the stoppage in the 1st fight, it looked as if the world had come to an end-- The boxing public slated him and called him used up and below elite level-- Today he is the hero and everybody is singing his praises-- I feel sorry for boxers because deep down in their hearts they know that they're only 1 fight away from becoming the laughing stock of the public-- They put their lives on the line each time they step into the ring and some actually die in there, and all we the public do is sit in the comfort of our homes with a cup of tea, passing judgment on them-- Life is deep--

Eubank would get a lot more respect and support is he was honest and didn’t boast or brag about [his opinion of] himself. I wish he would just accept his skills but show his brilliant determination to train properly and be humble. Without doing so he will not improve. No one would hold a loss against him if he accepted his flaws as much as his strengths. Surely that’s what he would prefer?
7th Dragon oo! That was deep! Just bare in mind though Junior is 28, financially well off (estimated 1.8 million as of September 2016, and must be even more now since his fights and profile have grown) millions of people know his name and girls lining up to suck his balls, smashing Rita Ora, I don't think his done too bad in life.I wouldn't think I'd be considered a failure if I'd played a key role in helping my son achieve that. His quality of life is Most likely better than you or I, he will live to see another day he never really got dominated and made it to the end of the fight so respect to him, Groves is no joke, Junior simply got schooled a little, no big thing, he'll be back hopefully a more polished version.
GG is a top top class fighter who has progressed at every loss. He has the maturity and talent that needs to be recognised as one of the best 'boxers' from amatuer to pro. He is a class act now, so lets not denegrade CE jr for a performance that showed heart and moments of talent. It was his first real, real test (ignoring BJS who is also top draw on his day) and he will learn, I think he has power through numbers, i know he has determination and I feel he can become a much better boxer through himself or others. He has a bright future if he wants to really adapt. He came against the best of GG and probably the best Super Middle at the mo. Not bad for a middleweight.
THE MAN SPEAKS REALITY..... now as a (hater of eubank) i have now nothing but respect. i watched all of snr fights... i was benn all the way. the man annoys people but has written his place as englands greatest fighters.
HolyRollerTV eubank jnr is a good fighter but he needs a proper trainer who can give him a game plan. He looked great against spike. Look at the 2 fights he lost they both had a perfect game plan to beat eubank and he had no answer he fights one way
End of the beginning spike is a much lower level fighter but also adam booth was training him then.... i.e a wc coach. Jr is a good fighter but a poor boxer. He needs a lot of work
Eubank Sr is bankrupt. He filed for bankruptcy in 2009. He's using his son to try and rebuild his financial situation. What he's been doing is cherry picking fighters in order to build Jr's name so he can sell tickets. They took a gamble tonight in hoping Groves had too many miles on the clock but it backfired. Jr obviously loves his old man so wants to be that son who makes everything right again but he's just not cut out for this sport. Well, not at the top level anyway. It's not just his serious lack of boxing fundamentals that's the problem, it's his entire attitude and the way he carries himself.
I agree although I never meant to imply he had no money. There's a difference between having money and having the kind of money to support the type of lifestyle you want.
Close fight haha , he was beat 10 rounds to 2 , 9 to 3 at best . I had it 117 to 111 , first judge 117 to 112 . The other judges cards were way off . They should never be allowed to judge a fight again .
it was 50 50 fight to me weldone the eubanks clan for good fight and respect to groves winning,, ul be back with more look forward to it lads ,, god bless
fair play to snr said it how it was got to respect him for that. jnr froze on the big occasion, when he watches it back he'll realise groves was totally in control and really comfortable right up until the shoulder injury.
I agree with some of the previous comments, it was good to see eubank Sr be honest in his assessment of the fight, he was spot on, just too much loading up by eubank Jr and groves made him pay
Respect as always to Snr! I commented that jnr would destroy Groves....I'm enjoying a double helping of humble pie this morning just like yesterday, lol. Groves outclassed jnr in more ways than one. Jnr's got a big problem now, if he doesn't adjust/evolve his style than he is finished at the top level. This proves jnr's defeat to the gypsy was no fluke. He's not good enough!
That clip right there closes the argument that a boxing coach is needed in Jr's corner, Sr knows the game, its the pill they needed to swallow. Jr only loads up, can you imagine if the kid had a jab, move down to middleweight and fulfil your potential
Fair play to Sr , he said it as it is his son didn't perform as he thought he would, you could clearly see he's deeply disappointed in jr's performance
Chris sr is absolutely rite and it’s statement is clear as glass that his son is a good fighter but he didn’t fight,i I personally think that against every fighter you need to change you tech-tics which Chris jr didn’t do.
Everyone’s complaining about Sr and how he’s training u can’t question the champ Sr is amazing. It’s never the trainer it’s always the fighter Jr can be trained by anyone he just made mistakes.
This is gold! Someone please put a video together of these clowns talking bollocks before the fight and then this clip straight after! They’ve both made themselves look very, very silly with all the pre fight chat and then completely failed to back it up!
Real, hard men being honest! I like it Senior tells it like he saw it. No need for Junior to show false modesty. Professionals at the top of their game. They will go away and return the better for it.
Show me a trainer who's as brutally honest after a defeat - no mincing his words. Props to Snr. Jnr went off script loading up - can't blame the corner for that!!!
Eubank Senior and his son for all the criticism, have been gracious in defeat, Eubank always leaves it too late to pile pressure on, I hope he can make a come back.
Chris Eubank Sr - "He doesn't need a trainer"."He is going to be better than Floyd Mayweather Jr". These are not the kind of comments that are going to make junior a better fighter. Junior is now asking for a rematch. He is deluded if he thinks he has the boxing skills to trouble any world class boxer. Go back to the basics, get a trainer and start again.
Reminds me of Uriah Heep's "very 'eavy very 'umble" LOL... but seriously, kudos to senior for being truthful and junior for being humble. Both did themselves credit with this honest outlook, but cannot escape the simple fact junior needs a proper trainer other than his dad. A brilliant fighter like senior does not necessarily become a brilliant coach. it's like saying Gazza can coach England to the world cup
Chris Eubank has done well enough to bring his son where he is. The Explosiveness, speed, power. Time for another trainer perhaps to give the chap more strings to his bow or just to fine tune things. Groves is world class, and a bigger man naturally, so what Junior did was pretty decent. Had this been a 13 round match, Junior wins! Did Groves with the big race tho? The aim is winning the tournament? With the dislocated shoulder you're not fighting the final fight, and they might bring Junior on instead! .. or postpone until end of year.,
