Well, he did blow up one of the turbos and engine during this event, sooooooo yeah. New engine is ideal, plus he's gonna have a manual tranny now. I say he's going the right direction. He can easily stiffen his spring and his shocks. And handbrake is coming soon.

At this point the Lexus build is kinda stupid Still think he should stick with the 2j but get rid of the eBay turbos and put some real ones on and get a tune. he said before the turbos that he was getting rid of the engine because of miles. the beating on the car is because it is his drift car now. not a daily like it was when he started. the little miata that could was getting useless since he had his og miata back and drifting is a higher priority than getting his piece back together

+Joey Billings they are talking about an ecu tune. It basically adjusts air, fuel, timing, as well as other variables to make sure the conditions are optimal so you can squeeze all the energy out of each combustion. Orion's GS doesn't have a tune, so the ecu isn't able to compensate for the extra air from the turbos, creating a lean fuel mixture which can lead to pre-ignition and knocking

why does haggard garage / ricer miata / and all these guys do a home made turbo set up, but refuse to tune? I know you're saving money by getting cheaper components, so why not invest in making sure it doesn't blow your engine? Shit megasquirt or road tune it. It'll be better than nothing.

+Angel Scene (XxAnGeLScEnExX) It still runs, and a tune wouldn't have done shit with this car. He stated that he was anticipating it to give out, as the 2J had 200K+ miles on it. Even with a tune, the engine was pushing too much power for its age.
