I remember watching Froome's descent live and at 2:59 on that tight right-hander was like, "OMG he's gonna overcook that sharp turn." He didn't though. I gotta give the guy credit for demonstrating a clinic in bike-handling on a fast, twisty descent. Well done, Froomey

That's not the game is it, it's not suicide if no-one has died/killed themselves by doing it. You need to read the initial statement and understand the response to make a cogent argument. So, again, how many deaths from this type of cycling to suggest it is suicide? How many doing this type of riding is totally irrelevant.
Something crazy to consider. He was going 80 km/h in that aero tuck position. These GC riders have very bridle bones from being so light and low in body fat. If he fell, i wouldn't doubt that he would have either died or ended his career with serious injuries. You have to be sort of fatalistic in this sport or you wont take the risks needed to win big races.

amazing form. they actually adapted his bike's front fork to make him more comfortable while pedaling like that. Most racers would normally lose a little bit of time but not much... though it doesn't mean that form isn't trainable
He has done every single thing every other rider could do .An extream athlete will suffer for there sport every way, thats what makes the winner.And huge balls and talent helps!!!1
Andy Green I just wanted to point out, that most of the top riders probably are doping. It's nothing only cyclists are doing and what they are doing is still impressive but I think we all should keep it in mind. Ps. With the their I just wanted to help you... I heard he crashed today and is injured bad, I hope he will be alright. I'm not surprised though, even though his team mate said it had something to do with wind. The way he descends is suicidal, I don't know if he was the one who came up with the bright idea of sitting far forward on the crossbar thinking it makes you faster, it doesn't. Sean Kelly, Greg LeMond and Stephen Roche were brilliant descender's, you would never see them attempt this because they know its not safe. All your weight is shifted to the front of the bike, that's what makes this type of style of riding totally crazy. If you doubt me, watch Sean Kelly's descent of the Poggio in the 1992 Milan San Remo when he caught Argentin and won the race.
I remember it that way too, because the organisers designed the race to be unfavourable towards Froome by including descents like this because they were his 'weakness', then froome makes a point by winning this stage.
Froome mugs quintana every time. What the hell was he doing grabbing a bottle on the crest of climb. I like quintana, but he needs to stop falling asleep and find another dimension to his game.
Rockefeller John that was Contador's move, Quintana was just lucky enough that his team were in the right place to follow it so all he had to do was just hold the wheels in front.
Agree, pretty much every video I’ve watched on this stage there are comments of Quintana almost sitting up instead of following froome, although I’m doubtful if he’d have kept up with froome on the descent
