What doesn't make sense is that countries like Germany, France, Italy, Poland the age of consent is14-15. If these guy did this in those countries it would not have been an issue. Whereas in the US, UK, Australia etc its frown upon. I still think having sex with someone under 16 is disgusting and wrong but it's kind of weird that this kind of activity is legal in quite a few counties

Great point, no statute of limitations for rape. This needs to be changed with modern DNA evidence because this is extremely powerful evidence. The statute of limitations was in place because time is an issue also for memory and accuracy. If you rape someone 50 years ago you should still be able to get in trouble for that.
