Fit for any gearhead too, if it weren't for the fugly rear, it might be the best looking 90's vehicle out there!*

Remember seeing Clarkson drive one of these on a VHS I had back in the day, I always used to mention it to friends who idolised the Ferraris and Lambos of the day and they'd just look at me completely blank, truly an unsung supercar hero. Another great video Chris, keep 'em coming.
Neil's camerawork makes this all the better. Chris' enthusiasm and honest and utter love for this car combined with the amazing shots makes this such an awesome video.
That car's absolutely a dream to drive. I've hade the opportunity to drive one for 15 minutes in Dubai, and can very much relate to Chris. Outstanding balance, feedback, it really does become one with the driver!
This brings back the memories of that huge 8 ft x 3 ft poster I had on my walls of the blue EB110. It must have been around 1997 when I got that poster and Bugatti was an unknown name in the midst of Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche (NFS to blame there). However, I would wake up to this poster and go to sleep mesmerized with the silhouette for the next 8 years. "Bugatti EB110" hence is and will remain the most special car name for me. Thanks Chris for letting me relieve all those moments again!

The eb110 was my first true love as a supercar when I was 7. I had die-cast models and posters of this vehicle everywhere in my room. Chris Harris on Cars kudos to another gem of a review. Really enjoy watching all your videos. Bugatti EB110 will always have a special place in my heart. Mclaren F1 was a very special vehicle but the bugatti was a 1/4 of its price at the time and was using next-gen technology.
I remember thumbing through a car magazine at the local library on a wet, rainy afternoon in the early 90s. This was the car that brightened up that day. Thanks Chris for rekindling those nostalgic memories Great review as always.

I wonder how many people are Veyron fans but have never even heard of the EB110.. I've always had a soft sport for these, when I was a kid I had a 1:18 scale model of one in Bugatti Blue, such a cool car.
My mum bought me a model car of the bugatti eb110 when i was a kid. This car is what dreams are made of, i love it. Great review. You wouldn't be wasting your money at all if you bought it!
"I think this car... was a cruel victim... of a fad that we called, the McLaren F1" - never have I agreed more with something that someone has said, ever in my entire life. As much as I love the McLaren F1 (Yes, I love it more than the F40 & F50, combined), I still feel that it unnecessarily overshadowed the likes of really really great supercars of its era, like the Bugatti EB110 (Dauer EB110 SS, more specifically), the Jaguar XJ220, the Cizeta-Moroder V16T, the Porsche 911 GT1 Straßenversion, the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, etc... If I had $20ml to spend on cars, I'd rather buy all those cars mentioned above combined, over 1 McLaren F1. I'd still have change left over, I reckon, to buy a couple of Diablo's (Older Jota and a 2001 6.0 VT). Every 80's/90's kid's wildest wet dream.

All those cars you mentioned were legendary, the V16T being the original Diablo, the Strassenversion being one of the few cool Porsches, same goes for the CLK-GTR, XJ220 still one of the most beautiful cars ever made defintiely more than the new CX-75, annnd I'd rather a Diablo GT over all them though!!

Alex Baldwin Couldn't agree more, 90's was the era of the supercar, they were crazy fast, dangerous, mean as fuck and above all, they looked stunning. The 112i was one of my favorite cars in Need For Speed 2 or 1 I think it was. Those were definitely the good days, when your only wiki source on cars was Gran Turismo on the PlayStation. Saf I agree with everything you commented except for the bit where you mentioned "the Strassenversion being one of the few cool Porsches", I am a Porschephile and I find that to be quite offensive, haha. But to each their own I guess.
If we're did a $20 million edition of "what would you buy" my list would take up 4 comments lol I'd probably have 3-4 super cars, then the rest would all be random fanboy cars under 1-200k. Granted, my budget would quickly be depleted by wanting immaculate versions of each, and saving a couple mil for maintenance on them all, but there'd be about 250 cars on that list!
Maybe not the nicest car to drive, but what a bit of history. This is a car that takes real skill to drive and I imagine, is so rewarding for it. Chris, you are a very fortunate car enthusiast.
Finally an EB110 SS video! I've had a model of this car since I 9 years old. Needless the say it was one of those situations when I liked the video before I even watched it, fantastic!
EB110SS, F40, McLaren F1, and Jaguar XJ220- every car purists wet dream. None of these can ever be replicated. Chris you are the man !! I suppose the only thing left to do is get an EB110 and Jaguar XJ220 and thrash them properly on a circuit. Legends will always be legends. I would rather spend a million on one of these than a modern paddle shifter-assisted-hybrid motor-nanny mobile with a million horsepower.
I remember having two Bburago 1:18 models of the EB110, one yellow and one blue example. And as a kid I couldn't imagine a car more beautiful than the blue EB110... Even today I like it way more than the Veyron.
You live the life that many of us wish we could! I really wouldn't want any other person reviewing it though. You make me feel like I'm in that damn seat pushing that beauty around.
I looooooove the old engines with giant turbos and lag. Bellow 3- 4k rpms you just cruise normally and stay under the radar. But when you put your foot down and pass that, the turbo kicks in and all hell breaks loose. It's like you;re having 2 cars in 1 - the 1st one is a steady continent to contitent cruiser and the other is a Group B monster; oh and best of all - YOU get to decide which u want at any given time, not some fancy computers behind your steering wheel. Imho the late '80s and the '90s were thr pinacle of the automotive industry.
Ohh memories. I had the chance to do a few laps in a EB110 many years ago: Mind-blowing. When a technician drove the car with me, he did power-slides - at 180 mph.
It's unreal how advanced this car was for it's time. I mean, 1992. I was still in primary school! Twenty four years later and it still takes most performance cars to the cleaners. Only the F1 and CLK-GTR would be it's 90s rivals. Possibly the XJ220 could give it a decent run for its money.

I remember when I have seen one of these when I was 10 in Austria. Back then I have never seen any exotic cars and I was more excited by a new yellow Corvette lol
The lines on that car absolutely gorgeous. Most modern cars are not that well thought out, not saying all, there is a ton of good examples, but that EB110 is in a class all on it's own.
Dream Car? Are you blind or something?....more like a nightmare.....this looks like it was styled by someone with Turretts....while he was holding his brush, or pencil...I've seen those video clips of "Worst replica cars".....looks just like em...Whoever styled this probably did the DeLorean....same god-awful look....I'd bet whoever did this, his tool of choice was probably, the Crayon.
Wonderful car the EB110. If I had the money, it would have a place in my garage. The front end always reminds me of the front end of a TGV, but you're right it's a massively high tech car compared to the F40.

back in the day before I ve seen the F1, I remember when my eyes saw the EB110 for the first time, I had an eye orgasm. It was my dream and I promissed myself I'll by it someday. sadly so far it's just a dream.
