@@alexurban6398 I unfortunately fell off man, but I am back at 4 days now. It’s another start of another journey. I’ve been watching more of Chris’s speeches and some other guys too. My family is behind me and I just want to do my best for them.
Chris’ story is wild. It’s amazing what he’s become. Very inspiring. I have been sober from opiates for 6 years. I have two amazing children and a beautiful loving wife. You can get through the shit dark days and find a good life!
Agree, I grew up on warren ave, and I would watch him play at Pulaski park as a young kid..... Unbelievably talented.... If he had stayed clean he could have been the next Larry bird
Chris changed my life. I watched Unguarded a Dozen Times and read his book. I had my 3 Sons watch at 14, 12 and 11 yrs old watch it and I talk to them all the time about Drugs an alcohol. It is a Dead end. Kids never think it will be them. My sister died at 37 who had a masters degree but could never hold a Job. From pills to Cocaine to Heroin. My Parents are a Mess over it. It ruined them for life. I didn’t start until my mid 30’s Never got into into drugs in High-school or years after bc my father talked to me all the time. A back surgery led to a 14 yr addiction to drugs and alcohol and after seeing Unguarded. I am the Man my Wife Married bc I was out of control and literally Dying ! Kids. Anyone offers u anything, walk away and stay away from them. Their not friends and will end up respecting U for it. Believe Me ! Peace !!!
Best part about him is he doesn't just speak. If theres somebody hurting at a speech he's giving he will take time to talk to them and even stay in touch after and help them get help. I saw it in action before
This man is unbelievably courageous....I can remember watching him play with the Nuggets and the Celtics. Good player and he was fierce. Better yet, he is a greater person talking to millions around the country about his struggles with addiction and all of the misfurtunes he endured personally and professionally. GOD bless you Chris and thank you for your work, bringing awareness and prevention techniques to help many obstain from alcoholism and drug use.
Chris you don't know me. I am from southern Mass myself. I don't drink or do drugs. I will say this...I am happy for you and proud of you. You don't know me but yet I am still proud of you my brother. Stay strong . Love
I wish I had a video of when he came to talk to my school. It was more heartfelt and almost everyone was crying. In Fact he even tweeted my school was the best and most respectful school he had been to. WHS!! He really touched us all!
Amazing. Gave me incredible anxiety as his story is somewhat similar. Brought back a lot of bad memories, but sometimes it’s good to remember. Keep up the great work, Chris.
@Titus Finnegan I got a guy that can hack ANY device all he needs is the phone number or email and he can basically mirror your phone. Same technology law enforcement uses. He has already done like 5-6 phones for me. Charges me $50 each time which is a very good price.
I am a drug and alcohol counselor in CT , and part of my groups sessions i always play Chris Herrens documentary and is definately a attention grabber my clients love it !!!! I wish he would come to CT would love to go to one of his talks !!!! EXCELLENT, AMAZING ❤
This dude is my idol. 2 1/2 years clean off all mind altering substances. Spent the vast majority of my 20s stealing from family, lying to everybody and becoming a shell of my former self specifically so I could inject heroin. That was my life. Everyday. Wake up , scrape together 20 bucks and pray to god I could get a ride to the plug somehow. What a miserable existence. Even overdosed with my daughter with me. Today I have 50/50 custody of my 7 year old and I’m expecting a set of twins in October 2023. God is good.
God bless you my brother. I am 8 years sober and every day is a new day. One at a time. Good luck to those of you who want to remain sober. You can do it!!
I love your message Chris Herron. You came to my school today and I was so touched by your message. I goo ok to Southmont High School and I Wisb you would come every year
God bless you Chris love the powerful testimony and how you turn your life around we went to high school together I was about a year behind you you are awesome ball player God bless you.
Would love to meet this guy someday. His talks have always been inspirational and uplifting for me. I admire Chris and his brother in the highest regard.
Chris is a great person and a great inspiration- I played against him and with him & HE is the best player that has ever come from Massachusetts & #project purple
he recently came to my school and he was such an inspiration to me! Greatest person ive ever met! He was at my school Tuesday night and wednesday morning im NEVER going to forget those 2 days!!!
I can relate to your story chris and i appreciate you for sharing your testimony with these kids who have a bright future and hopefully doesn't make the same mistakea we made
As a former heroin and cocaine addict, this really hits home. Chris was one of my favorite players when he was in college, I'm so happy he got his life together
That Fresno State team was so loaded-Melvin Ely Courtney Alexander, Skip-T0-My-Lou, Tremaine Folks, Chris Herron. It was like UNLV West. I remember Chris Herron stealing the ball and coming down on the break against Hawaii, in Honolulu. He went up so high, cupped it , and slammed it on our shooting guard Alika Smith. Then he checked if Alika was alright and helped him up.. Right then, I knew that this guy was going pro. He had that toughness. He was great! Too bad he carried around all that shit (addiction). Seems like his life would make a great movie. Then again, he might relapse. Ugh!!!!
Dont forget Rafer Alston and chris Jefferies I think his name was. Probably the most talented team not to even make the tournament in college basketball history should have been competitive for the national title but never even won the western athletic conference tournament definitely underachieved as a team.
Iposted my my text without reading the comments. Shame on you! Shame on you haters! Focus on yourself. Dont hate someone who did the work. Do the work.
my cuz just died a few weeks ago from a heroin overdose.. he started shooting up when he was 14 in b-more county.. finally caught up too him at age 35.. he did 16 months in prison and was out for 2 months... this new shit kills you.. its not just heroin anymore but extremely strong tranquilizers that take you out. his autopsy came back and the list of diseases where ridiculous (hep C, heb B, HIV, etc) his suffering is finally over and its was the only funeral i ever went to that i almost felt relief for the dead. the scary thing is that he looks like me. i love drinking, and im not gunna lie and say i dont think cocaine is a hell of a drug,, but heroin and opiates SCARE THE FUCK OUT OF ME.. this type of shit right here is why i will never try it.. this is a lucky guy right here for now, but i have a horrible feeling that drugs will take him, and i think he knows too..
I celebrated 5 years Friday. I’m also a public speaker who shared his story to inspire others to make good choices! Hardest thing that no one who hasn’t experienced it can not understand.
+Ginger Mosley It isn't a presentation. He didn't write this all down to gives us facts about drugs. He's telling his life story. Much different than a presentation/speech that you'd find information for off of wikipedia lmao.
You’re not from Fall River Mass, very Portuguese and Italian majority city, they are an expressive people who speak using their hands a lot. What you see as less authentic I see it as more, you hear that accent and you know whoever has that accent is speaking with hands flying everywhere lol
