Considering what Chris Holmes has been through in the last few years it's amazing he is up there in the heat and humidity rocking out. I'm happy for him and the band. Great job to all.
He does! No pedals. Just a small rack on top of one of the cabinets that maybe had a processor of some kind but it sounded just like his classic tone from Live in the Raw.
For sure. And was the wildest dude on stage I ever saw.Had to wear catchers gear so he wouldn't hurt himself or knock out his own teeth! FUCKING METAL! 🤘
I walked on stage wearing jeans and a t-shirt but due to having no canopy because of the storm the day before I had to dress in my ''beach'' wear, the sun also dried my throat out.
so so awesome to see the mad guitarman shredding again, loved him in W*A*S*P* them solos are so melodic, none of this 100 mph shredding jerking off nonsense, and holy cow what a voice on that singer, Blackie aint easy to cover
Transposing chords after a string break just IS rock and roll. This is brilliant, and the US I lucky to still have guys like this playing balls out classics
Dude in the Budweiser jumper is killin it! hell yeah, anyone who can go up there w/Chris and belt out Blackies vocals from the 80s and sound that close? huge round of applause 🤘🤘👋👋
*It's absolutely amazing that he is still doing what he loves!! He shouldn't even be here!! He is a definitely a hard animal to kill!! I say that because of his addictions he's battled over the years. A very good friend of mine has said the exact same thing to me.. And it's tattooed on my arm... "Hard Animal to Kill." Chris Holmes will always be a legend!! Keep Rockin'!!* 🤘🏼😆
That was cool. Glad to see Chris back out there and with a good band. Glad he has a singer again and plays guitar. Funny how he put on a Les Paul. He told me once, "Rob, you know why I don't play a Les Paul?" "Because it looks too small and rediculous on me." LOL Way to Rock!
I've never seen Holmes use a Les Paul in all the live performances of his I've watched. He's been a faithful Jackson player for most of his career from what I've seen. If that was someone else's axe, he owned it for the end of that song. Still one of the best in my opinion. Thanks for posting, hope you had a great cruise. I was there in 12 & 14.
He definitely did! I saw him at the airport a few days later and he only had the one Jackson. He kept the Les Paul for the remaining three or four songs of the set. Definitely the highlight of the cruise. Blew me away how great the were and how good of spirits Chris was in. He was so friendly the few times I talked to him and seemed really humbled at the accolades he received the entire time. We even cheered him as he past us in the airport chanting “Mean Man…Mean Man” and the smile on his face was priceless. I was on the 2014 cruise also! This was my first since.
Legitimately straight forward rock n roll. If the singer was dressed right they would have gotten more praise. I appreciate his guitar tone. He always sounds like himself and that is a good thing. Rock on wild man!
Hey Chris, glad to see you back man. Just awesome. Unfortunately the doctor did too good of a job and now we have to listen to your crappy singing! Just bustin your balls man I love you.!!!! Hope we meet up someday. Someone around here has to be a badass right!!
Blackie must be loving this lmaooooo He’s probably ripping his hair out and snorting his coke wondering how this band really sounds like WASP and not the Wasp imitators who use backing and vocal tracks lol😂
Saw these guys a few months ago... Ended up on stage singing highway to hell with them 🤘😂 Was a great night... I'd rather see them than Blackie 'godfodder$$$' Lawless
Hell yea! That is awesome. Im in Dallas and missed out on seeing WASP here because the venue oversold tickets by almost 600 and it was shut down just before WASP was supposed to start. Dont even feel bad now because I think this was a truer and more real WASP performance than I would have gotten seeing Blackie. Chris freaking rocked!
His name is Ollie from a London band called Wicked Jackels. It was blazing hot out there during this show. They dressed more like you would expect at their second show inside
