I looked at a couple of colleges before choosing Bedford, but I really liked the location and setting of the campus - it's great being by the river and so close to town, so even though it meant a bit more travel for me, I was happy to go for it!
The IT course I studied wasn't on offer at school, and I also wanted a change of environment. The way the tutors treated me was brilliant - I felt like I had so much more freedom and trust than at school, which really motivated me to do the work.
The computer facilities - stuff like the routers and switchers - were all great, really fast, and the tutors were so knowledgeable - it was pretty incredible how much they knew and no matter what I asked they literally always had the answer for me!
Right now I work for an IT support company in London as a field engineer, which means I travel around lots of clients' sites and get hands on with their machines to solve software and hardware problems.
I'd recommend the course and the college to anyone - without it I wouldn't be where I am today.
