He’s honestly not really reinvented himself that much. He’s changed looks and added new catchphrases but he’s not really had more than 3 gimmicks across the past 20 years.
Retro Attitude Era Jericho, specifically Y2J, and his persona once he became the Undisputed Champion are still amazing. I preferred him as a menace to his opponents and snarky to everyone. They went hand-in-hand with his attributes.
The one small vivid memory I have as a kid was watching old wrestling shows and MNR (Monday night raw) was one of them. I was born in 00’s, I instantly liked the Y2J debut-era even after the mini comeback he had against Dean (Jon) I think 10’s era.
Chris Jericho should have had his 10th wwe intercontinental championship shot as I think it would have had a celebration 🎉. Yes I know he’s already got 10 wins over the intercontinental championship WWE should have gave him another chance 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
I love jericho such a cool wrestler he always had me cheering for him or booing him always had it character out there his got unmatched charmisa I loved his feuds with CM Punk,Jeff Hardy, Undertaker, Triple H and many more when he was the first undisputed champion I found that so cool wen I first seen that as a kid the man's always made his characters so loveable or so hated
I completely understand what he means. When he was in WWE I would jokingly tell everyone that they "just made the list" but after he jumped on AEW I kept quoting "a lil bit of the bubbly". CJ will go down as a top 10 wrestler on everyone's list
If Jericho never left WWE for AEW, still to this day, he's still handling the List of Jericho persona. Thank God, he came to Indies and AEW and we saw some of his versions like Painmaker, The Ocho and of course, Le Champion..
While I do like that Chris reinvents himself, sometimes he does it too often and we have all of these titles and phrases lingering around from gimmicks that lasted less than a year.
Now he’s facing allegations as I come across this. By the way, hearing him say “You Just Made The List!” put a smile across my face because it’s still so funny remembering this gimmick from that time.
He decided he'd rather be the top guy and have no boss. Cant say I blame him, but I CAN call out his aasertion that he did it to help AEW. If he cared about helping them, he'd have made at least one star by now, and considering the roughly dozen guys hes made into his flunkies, you'd think ONE OR TWO of them would be drawing right now. Unless, of course, Jericho isn't a draw anymore and is way overvalued by TK. Idk. I just know Le Champion was cool for a little bit, but quickly became way too self-indulgent and he hasn't done anything exciting in 3 years.
Chris has been medocore and average since he left the list of jericho back but in his mind he's doing the best work and character development of his career and no one's man enough to tell it to his face.
@@noneyabizz3403 its not in the ground though. AEW will never be as successful as WWE, and thats a high bar to touch in the first place. But look at it now, it’s doing pretty good for something its size. It makes for a great alternative for wrestling, and legitimately, if you simply watch WWE and AEW, you have wrestling a night 6 days a week. Thats a good fucking deal for a wrestling fan.
Gosh jericho is a lil to full of himself never humble always cocky and he aint good enough is what gets me. All the greats ones are humble at some point not mr nda. Its the perect time to hang it up and go be a manager or backstage agent would be best for him well i take that back he aint gonna wanna help no-one lmao
Why? The man has only had exactly 3 gimmicks... 1: Husky Harris, 2: Bray Wyatt, 3: The Fiend, And that's all.... The rest: The Wyatt Family, Sister Abigail, the puppets, Uncle Howdy, were just add-ons to (try to) keep the gimmicks more interesting.
