@@brahmabull5018 Chris Jericho has far surpassed his father in success and I mean that by no disrespect. And real sport? Dare you try wrestling one match and then come back and tell me how those bumps feel..
What a memorable moment. It brought me the chills to see Kenny and Chris live in Winnipeg. Especially seeing the hometown crowd sing Judas. Wow! Unbelievable moment.
Chris is already way past his prime and still is one of the superstars that generates an impressive reaction from the fans. He's untouchable not only in AEW but overall in the wrestling sports entertainment community. Roman would dream his whole life getting this acknowledgment from the public
This video doesn't do the moment justice. I was in the audience that night. It was deafening. We couldn't hear the music blared because we were too busy singing this out loud.
Jericho really seemed to be breathing it in, the look on his face when he got in the ring showed he was emotional about the reaction. Could be the last time he performs in Winnipeg on tv.
Technically it's not his hometown, he was born in Manhasset NY, then eventually moved to Winnipeg, and then moved out when he started wrestling. But I guess because his dad is from there, he sees it at his hometown too.
I will never get over a hometown entrance. I wonder, by the way, if MJF got that sort of reception in UBS Arena last week? He tends to, I've been told.
Regardless of what you can say about his at times questionable behavior, you cant deny he has one of the greatest wrestling minds of all time. Hes one of the last of the attitude era guyd still going at this level, and somehow still reinventing himself yet again.
Anyone else getting wolfpac sting vibes from y2j here? Think it's all the red and the baseball bat being twirled around, definitely Wolfpac Era Sting attitude.
Honestly the feeling there was incomparable to anything wwe ever put on with Jericho here Jericho worked in 04 a Match decided by Musical Chairs against randy Orton 1 hour into raw *not the main event and lost in 5 minutes* Tony gave us both of our guys in the main event for a belt we knew they wouldn't win but that is using the town to your booking advantage 😊
@geng182 you clearly are sleep deprived so ill give you a pass It was about booking the town, and how each company booked Jericho in his hometown the 2 times he was working TV shows in his hometown For context he's also stated the day he won the belts He found out through a Conversation he WAS NOT IN between Vince and Taker, then everyone left the arena before he got back there after his big moment even Vince who was there with him on stage not more than 5 minutes before They jobbed him out to a dog and Stephanie McMahon during that title run and it was already 2 years late and 8 years too soon So again I'll give you a pass cause your sleepy but its about booking HOMETOWN TALENT not overall booking
If you read Jericho's book, he said that musical chairs win was one of the best moments of his life. No need to complain on Jericho's behalf and both are special moments in their own right.
Dummy only The list of Jericho (which was his last great piece of work and was over as hell) is more memorable than his whole AEW run. In this company he had a match in a mimosa pool, did stupid Tik Tok dance videos and a musical segments so your point is dumb, mark
@Matthew I'm a Fan yes But straight up Clearly reading isn't your strong suit so ill say this is the best he's been booked in winnipeg, and using the town to its advantage The list was fun and fine and i dont care cause i dont and didnt watch the product at the time and I can appreciate that but I'm not talking about a 2017 run that never came to winnipeg for a TV show I'm talking 2 specific times he was booked in winnipeg by opposite companies and how they treated him in regards to his 2 title matches in winnipeg both loses 1 at the top of the first hour and 1 in the main event And clearly comparing 2 shows is too deep for you to comprehend so enjoy the same show over and over week in week out 👍
